Introduction

Megadisk is a comprehensive file sync and sharing software designed for

all users. It offers a secure and compliant solution for synchronizing and
sharing files, all within servers that you have complete control over.

Web UI Overview

With Megadisk, you can conveniently access your files through the
user-friendly web interface. It allows you to perform various actions such as
creating new files, previewing them, making edits, deleting files, and
sharing them with others. You also have the flexibility to re-share files as
needed, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient file management.

File Controls
When you hover over a file in the Files view of Megadisk, three convenient
file controls are displayed:

1. Marking Favorites
2. Sharing Files
3. The Overflow Menu
1.Marking Favorites

To mark a file as a favorite in Megadisk, simply click the star icon located to
the left of the file icon. This action will designate the file as a favorite. The
advantage of marking favorites is that you can easily access them later by
using the Favorites filter on the left sidebar. It allows you to quickly find and
retrieve your favorite files without the need for extensive searching.

2.Sharing Files

The sharing files control in Megadisk serves as a convenient shortcut to the

file and folder-sharing functionality. With Megadisk's sharing feature, you
can easily create public link shares for your files and folders. These public
link shares come with hyperlinks, making it simple to share them with
others. Additionally, Megadisk allows you to delete existing shares
whenever necessary, giving you full control over your shared content.
3.The Overflow Menu

The Overflow Menu allows you to:

• Display File Details

• Rename Files
• Download Files
• Delete Files

● Display File Details

When you click on the "Details" option in the Overflow Menu, you can
access different tabs or views that provide specific information about a file.
Here's a description of each view:

● Details: This view displays comprehensive information about the file,

including its name, size, and the date it was created or last updated.
For more detailed insights, you can refer to the Details section.

● Activity: The Activity view shows a chronological history of all the

activities related to the file, such as its creation, updates, and sharing
events. To delve deeper into the activity log, you can refer to the
Activity section.

● Sharing: In the Sharing view, you can manage and control the file's
sharing settings. This section allows you to customize the sharing
options, set permissions, and manage the recipients of the file. To
learn more about managing shares, you can refer to the Sharing Files
section.

● Version: The Version view provides a complete history of all the

versions of the file. However, please note that this feature is not
available for folders. If you want to explore the version control
functionality in more detail, you can refer to the Version Control
section.

An example of the Activity view is depicted in the image below:

● Rename Files

To rename a file, simply click on the "Rename" option in the Overflow

Menu. This action will present the current name of the file in an editable
text box. Make the desired changes to the name, then press "Enter" to
apply the new name. If you prefer not to rename the file, you can click
"Esc," and the file name will remain unchanged.

● Download Files
To download a file, click on the "Download" option in the Overflow Menu.
This will initiate the file download process, allowing you to save it to your
device for offline access.
● Delete Files

To delete a file, select the file and click on the "Delete" option in the
Overflow Menu. Confirm the deletion if prompted, and the file will be
permanently removed from Megadisk.

The Web Interface
