GAUGE
Correct gauge is essential for proper size o{ work, and is
extremely important in working Fisherman Crochet Afghans,
TIED FRINGE
since each pattern may have a slightly different gauge. A slight
variation in gauge will be multiplied and much more evident
over a greater number of stitches, when working a larger piece
such as an afghan. For instance, if you have 3r/z stitches per
inch instead of 3, your finished afghan will measure only 55
inches long instead of 65 inches, a difference of 10 inches.
