Financial aggregates are compiled by the RBA using data primarily supplied by authorised deposit-taking institutions (ADIs) and non-ADIs
levels of financial aggregates in Table D5 are for banks and not adjusted for series breaks.
Historical levels and growth rates for the financial aggregates are often revised owing to the resubmission of data by some financial interm
estimation of seasonal factors and the incorporation of securitisation data. The RBA credit aggregates measure credit provided by financi
operating domestically. They do not capture cross-border or non-intermediated lending.
From July 2019, the financial aggregates are compiled using an improved conceptual framework and a new data collection. This is referre
Economic and Financial Statistics Collection. Various movements from the June 2019 to July 2019 reporting periods are sizable, in part b

From April 2023, the financial aggregates were revised to remove the effect of lending to warehouse trusts in business credit. Warehouse
credit facilities used by non-bank lenders to fund the origination of loans. Including lending to warehouse trusts in business credit double c
non-banks that are separately recorded in housing or business credit. Total and business credit excluding financial businesses are the lon
available, starting from April 2003. The financial aggregates also include a series of total business credit that excludes loans to warehous
from July 2019. Business and total credit that includes lending to warehouse trusts were discontinued as at 30 June 2019.
