Cultural relativism
Cultural relativism asserts that what is considered "good" or "bad" is relative to the
culture in which it occurs. According to cultural relativism, moral principles are
determined by the norms and values of a particular society or culture. Therefore,
what is considered morally acceptable or unacceptable varies from one culture to
  another
                                    Ethnocentrism
Ethnocentrism refers to the tendency of individuals to judge other cultures based on
the standards, values, and customs of their own culture. It involves viewing one's
own cultural group as superior to others and evaluating other cultures through the
lens of one's own cultural norms and beliefs. Ethnocentrism can lead to prejudice,
bias, and misunderstandings when interacting with people from different cultural
backgrounds, as it hinders the ability to appreciate and understand cultural diversity.
                                       Relativists
Relativists view morality as a product of culture, meaning that moral values and
beliefs are shaped by the norms, values, and customs of a particular society. They
observe that different societies hold diverse views on what is morally right or wrong,
and they argue that there is no clear, universally agreed-upon standard to resolve
these differences. As a result, relativists conclude that there are no objective moral
values or truths that apply universally.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ETHNOCENTRISM AND CULTURAL RELATIVISM
Ethnocentrism involves judging other cultures based on the standards of one's own
culture, it involves viewing one's own culture as superior and using it as a reference
point to assess the practices, beliefs, and values of other cultures. Cultural relativism
is the idea that a culture should be understood and evaluated on its own terms,
without imposing the standards or values of another culture. Cultural relativism
acknowledges the diversity of human cultures and emphasizes the importance of
understanding cultural practices, beliefs, and values within their specific cultural
contexts. It encourages open-mindedness, tolerance, and empathy towards different
cultural perspectives, recognizing that what may seem strange or unconventional
from one cultural standpoint may hold significance and validity within another
  culture.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CULTURAL RELATIVISM AND CULTURAL RELATIVIST
Cultural relativism is the idea that ethical and social standards are shaped by the
cultural context they come from. This means that morality is influenced by the values
and beliefs of a society, so what's considered right or wrong can vary between
different cultures. Cultural relativists believe that moral judgments should be made
with an understanding of each culture's unique perspective and values.
