Apple crumble is a delicious dessert that combines tender baked apples with a crispy, crumbly

topping. Here's a simple and tasty recipe for you to try:

Ingredients:
For the Apple Filling:
 4-5 medium-sized apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled, cored, and sliced
 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (adjust to taste depending on the sweetness of the apples)
 1 tablespoon lemon juice
 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (optional, to thicken the filling)
For the Crumble Topping:
 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
 1/4 teaspoon salt
 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
Optional:
 Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, for serving
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven:
 Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch baking dish or pie dish.
2. Prepare the Apple Filling:
 In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, lemon juice,
ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg (if using). Toss until the apples are evenly
coated.
 If the apples release a lot of juice, you can sprinkle the flour over them and toss to
coat. This will help thicken the filling as it bakes.
3. Make the Crumble Topping:
 In another mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar,
ground cinnamon, and salt.
 Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Using a pastry cutter, fork, or your
fingers, work the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse
crumbs. You should still have some pea-sized pieces of butter.
4. Assemble and Bake:
 Spread the prepared apple filling evenly into the greased baking dish.
 Sprinkle the crumble topping over the apples, covering them completely.
5. Bake:
 Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the
topping is golden brown and the apples are tender and bubbling.
6. Cool and Serve:
 Remove the apple crumble from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before
serving.
 Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped
cream on top.
Enjoy your homemade apple crumble! It's a comforting and irresistible dessert, perfect for any
occasion.
