PW2 : Modeling and Simulation
of DC Motor using Matlab/Simulink……..
1. Objectives of PW : The goals of this PW are:
1- Modeling and Simulation of dynamical models for DC and simulate these models in
MATLAB and Simulink.
2- Analysis of transient and study states of : Speed , currents and torque of the machine
2. Modeling of series connected DC motor. :
This study examines the series connected DC motor
model and compares the results achieved using
Matlab/Simulink, The principle diagram is shown in the
opposite figure.

study states of Speed, Currents and Torque; we given : Pn=750 W, Ua=220 V, Ia=4A, Nn=3000
tr/min, Ra=0.6 , La =0.012H, Re=240 Le=120H , J=1 kgm2. Mea=1.8H.
2. Modeling of series connected DC motor. :
In this part, the modelling and simulation using Matlab/Simulink,of shunt-connected DC
motors are presented.The principle diagram is shown in the opposite figure.
