DON BOSCO SCHOOL, LILUAH

“One of the first conditions of happiness is that the link between man and nature
shall not be broken”.

It is probably to showcase the elegance of these words, of Leo Tolstoy, that the
campus of Don Bosco School, Liluah stands with such grandeur, magnificence, and
vibrant glory, in order to give its students an epitomic environment for academics
and co-curriculars.
Founded on 8th December, 1937 at the industrial site of Liluah, DBL soon
transitioned to an eco-friendly ambience with lush green open fields, trees,
animals and an ideal atmosphere for boys to be nurtured in. It became the
pioneering and the largest school dedicated to John Bosco in Bengal. This 6.2-acre
land proved to be the mallet and chisel to sculpt the young minds of the locality
into responsible and dutiful citizens of their motherland, besides instilling in them
habits of piety, virtue, discipline and self-efficiency.
Following, Don Bosco's philosophy, DBL embraces "The Pedagogy of the Heart,"
fostering an inclusive and compassionate learning environment where every
individual is encouraged to grow morally, intellectually, and spiritually, inspired by
the motto of "Education as an Ecosystem of Empathy.”
With its magnanimous fields and up-to-the-minute facilities, Don Bosco School
Liluah becomes a haven where education transcends the confines of four-walled
classrooms, as young boys are not only encouraged to excel in academics but are
also wholeheartedly taught to live a virtuous life, embracing John Bosco's
philosophy for holistic development. The students' immensely active participation
in a plethora of events, ranging from debates, quizzes, dance shows, and
musicales to football and cricket matches, and the incorporation in various
interschool events and fests, stands as a testament to DBL's commitment to
nurturing well-rounded individuals, making the institution a true embodiment of
John Bosco's words, “My children, jump, run and play and make all the noise you
want but avoid sin like the plague and you will surely gain heaven."
