َتَٰب َر َك ٱَّلِذ ي ِبَيِدِه ٱۡل ُم ۡل ُك َو ُهَو َع َلٰى ُك ِّل
َتَباَر َك يَتَباَر ُك َتَباُر ًك ا ١ َش ۡي ٖء َقِد يٌر
ٱۡل ُم ۡل ُك Blessed is He َتَٰب َر َك
ُم عّر ٌف بالالم مبتد ُم ئجر The one in whose hand alone lies
.dominion/ kingdom
عطف بيان And He is in complete control
over all things
ُم عّر ٌف بالالم
ٱَّلِذ ي َخ َلَق ٱۡل َم ۡو َت َو ٱۡل َح َيٰو َة ِلَيۡب ُلَو ُك ۡم َأُّيُك ۡم َأۡح َس ُن
َبَلى َيْبُلو َبالًء ا َباٍل
٢ َع َم ۚاٗل َو ُهَو ٱۡل َع ِز يُز ٱۡل َغ ُفوُر
َس َّد َم َس َّد َم فُعول ِبِه
The one who created death and life
َس بَع َس َم َو اٍت أربَع َة أْش ُهٍر so that he test you which of you
ِطَباٗق ا َح ال؟صفة سبع؟َطاَبَق ِطَباًقا are better in deed. And he is the
َتَفاَو َت َيَتَفاَو ُت َتَفا ُو ٌت .most authoritative, most forgiving
ۡل ۖا
ٱَّلِذ ي َخ َلَق َس ۡب َع َس َٰم َٰو ٖت ِط َباٗق َّم ا َتَر ٰى ِفي َخ ِق
ٱلَّر ۡح َٰم ِن ِم ن َتَٰف ُو ٖۖت َفٱۡر ِج ِع ٱۡل َبَص َر َهۡل َتَر ٰى ِم ن
٣ُٖفُطور
The one who created seven
heavens, one above another. You
will not see any possible tear/
crack/defect in the creation by the
most merciful. So return the gaze,
– زاِئَدَجَهَّنَۖم
مفُعول بِه
مبتد ِمَع َذناُب did you see any fault
Heard – whom ل
ُثَّم ٱۡر ِج ِع ٱۡل َبَص َر َك َّر َتۡي ِن َينَقِلۡب ِإَلۡي َك ٱۡل َبَص ُر
َيَيننَقَقِلِلْبjawab
ْب

mansoob Shart ٤ رَٞخ اِس ٗئ ا َو ُهَو َحِس ي
َبَص ُرُر ٱۡلۡلFaail َخ اِس ٗئ اMH

َوَو ُهُهَوَو...

to you turned back/humbled. As

َو َلَقۡد َز َّيَّنا ٱلَّس َم ٓاَء ٱلُّد ۡن َيا ِبَم َٰص ِبيَح َو َج َع ۡل َٰن َها
يكاُد َرَر ْجْج ُمُم
كاًدا كادto almost

death be ٥ ُرُجوٗم ا ِّللَّش َٰي ِط يِۖن َو َأۡع َتۡد َنا َلُهۡم َع َذ اَب ٱلَّس ِع يِر
َتَمdistinguish/
ُرُجوَّيَزٌمٌم
ُرُجو missiles to be
missiles And we already decorated the
seperate َتَم َّيُز – َتَتَم َّيُز lowest heaven with lamps and we
)َخ اٍز – َخ َز َنٌة(جمع made them as missiles for the
gatekeeper Shayateen and we have prepared
the punishment of hell fire
َص اَر َيِص يُر َص ْيُروَر ًة َص اِئٌر especially for them
ِص ر ال َتِص ْر َم َص اٌر َم ِص ِيٌر
َو ِلَّلِذ يَن َك َفُروْا ِبَر ِّبِهۡم َع َذ اُب َجَهَّنَۖم َو ِبۡئ َس
٦ ٱۡل َم ِص يُر
And for those who disbelieved in
their Rabb, is the punishment of
Hell and what a horrible is the place
to be
من جاءَد- من شيٍء ِإَذ ٓا ُأۡل ُقوْا ِفيَها َسِم ُعوْا َلَها َش ِهيٗق ا َو ِهَي َتُفوُر
٧
َم ا أنُتم ااّل في َض الٍل
When They are thrown in it( hell
You are in nothing but fire) they will hear a cry like the the
a misguidance last braying that belongs to it . As it
لو أَد َو ات( َأَد اُة) الَش رت erupts (boils or swells)

٨ رَٞخ َزَنُتَهٓا َأَلۡم َيۡأ ِتُك ۡم َنِذ ي

َتَع َّر َف عليto get .Warner came to you

ر َفَك َّذ ۡب َنا َو ُقۡل َنا َم ا َنَّز َل ٱُهَّللَٞقاُلوْا َبَلٰى َقۡد َج ٓاَء َنا َنِذ ي
اْعَتَر َفto acknowledge ٩ ِم ن َش ۡي ٍء ِإۡن َأنُتۡم ِإاَّل ِفي َض َٰل ٖل َك ِبيٖر
They will say yes, of course a
warner did come to us then we
declared him/the message/
everything a liar and we said Allah
did not send down anything. You are is nothing but a great
misguidance
١٠ َو َقاُلوْا َلۡو ُكَّنا َنۡس َم ُع َأۡو َنۡع ِقُل َم ا ُكَّنا ِفٓي َأۡص َٰح ِب ٱلَّس ِع يِر
And they will say ......Had we been listening and thinking , we
.would not be the people of fire
َفٱۡع َتَر ُفوْا ِبَذ ۢن ِبِهۡم َفُس ۡح ٗق ا َأِّلۡص َٰح ِب ٱلَّس ِع يِر

So they acknowledged/admit their sins. So May Allah cast
.them far away for the people of Fire

١٤ َأاَل َيۡع َلُم َم ۡن َخ َلَق َو ُهَو ٱلَّلِط يُف ٱۡل َخ ِبيُر
Does’nt he know the one he created

١٦ َفِإَذ ا ِهَي َتُم وُر
Did you feel safe from whoever is in
َنِكيرsomething which
the sky sinking the earth along with

Or did you feel safe from whoever is

١٨ َو َلَقۡد َك َّذ َب ٱَّلِذ يَن ِم ن َقۡب ِلِهۡم َفَك ۡي َف َك اَن َنِكيِر
And those prior to them already
considered them a lie, so how was my

َأَو َلۡم َيَر ۡو ْا ِإَلى ٱلَّطۡي ِر َفۡو َقُهۡم َٰٓص َّٰف ٖت َو َيۡق ِبۡض َۚن َم ا
١٩ ُيۡم ِس ُك ُهَّن ِإاَّل ٱلَّر ۡح َٰم ُۚن ِإَّن ۥُه ِبُك ِّل َش ۡي ِۢء َبِص يٌر
Did’nt they look at the birds above
them as they spreaaaad their wings
and as they flap. No one holds them
except the most merciful. Certainly He
Great deception
comes from masdar in full view of all things (even see
without ال through)
د َّلُك ۡم َينُصُر ُك م ِّم ن ُد وِن ٱلَّر ۡح َٰم ِۚنَٞأَّم ۡن َٰه َذ ا ٱَّلِذ ي ُهَو ُج ن
Jawaab us Shart is ٢٠ ِإِن ٱۡل َٰك ِفُروَن ِإاَّل ِفي ُغ ُروٍر
Dropped Or who is this that is an army besides
you helping you other than the most
merciful. The disbelievers are in
nothing but great deception
أَك َّب ُيِكُّب ِإْك َباًبا ُمِكٌّب
Down on face/ pot َأَّم ۡن َٰه َذ ا ٱَّلِذ ي َيۡر ُز ُقُك ۡم ِإۡن َأۡم َس َك ِرۡز َق ۚۥُه َبل َّلُّج وْا ِفي
overturned ٢١ ُع ُتّٖو َو ُنُفوٍر
َأۡه َد ٰٓىism tafdeel Or who is he that can provide you if
Allah holds it back. Nay they stumble
ما زائدة
in rage/ enimosity and flight(wild)
َم ْفُعول ُم تلقhyperbole
and “how “ of the َأَفَم ن َيۡم ِش ي ُمِكًّبا َع َلٰى َو ۡج ِهِهٓۦ َأۡه َد ٰٓى َأَّم ن َيۡم ِش ي َس ِو ًّيا
act- adverb ٢٢ َع َلٰى ِص َٰر ٖط ُّم ۡس َتِقيٖم
So is he who walks down on his face
better guided or who walks upright on
.a straight path
ٱَّلِذ ٓي َأنَش َأُك ۡم َو َج َعَل َلُك ُم ٱلَّسۡم َع َو ٱَأۡلۡب َٰص َر َو ٱَأۡلِٔۡف ُهَو ُقۡل
٢٣ َّم ا َتۡش ُك ُروَن َقِلياٗل َد َۚة
He is the one who created you and

َقلياًل – صفة َم فُعول ُم تلق ناءُب ٢٧ ٱَّلِذ ي ُك نُتم ِبِهۦ َتَّدُع وَن
َم فُعول ُم تلق
But when they see it approaching,
ُز ۡل َفٗةmasdar used as haal
the faces of those who disbelieved
(hyperbole)nasb-H
will be distressed and it will be said
this is what you all used to call for
ُقۡل َأَر َء ۡي ُتۡم ِإۡن َأۡه َلَك ِنَي ٱُهَّلل َو َم ن َّمِع َي َأۡو َر ِح َم َنا
٢٨ َفَم ن ُيِج يُر ٱۡل َٰك ِفِر يَن ِم ۡن َع َذ اٍب َأِليٖم
Say did you saw, if Allah destroys
me and those who are with me or
have mercy on us.....So who can
protect/ divert the disbelievers from a
.painful punishment
ُقۡل ُهَو ٱلَّر ۡح َٰم ُن َء اَم َّنا ِبِهۦ َو َع َلۡي ِه َتَو َّك ۡل َنۖا َفَس َتۡع َلُم وَن
٢٩ َم ۡن ُهَو ِفي َض َٰل ٖل ُّم ِبيٖن
Believe in him, angels,
books
Tawakkul only him
Say, He is the most merciful. We
believe in him and we put our trust in
him. So those in clear misguidance
.will know
ۡأ
ُقۡل َأَر َء ۡي ُتۡم ِإۡن َأۡص َبَح َم ٓاُؤ ُك ۡم َغۡو ٗر ا َفَم ن َي ِتيُك م ِبَم ٓاٖء
َأصبحto become
٣٠ َّمِع يِۢن
َغوًراabsorbed Say, did you saw if your water
became absorbed then who will bring
َأَتى ِبbring
