Election commission of India has announced General Election to Lok Sabha zo24 and Bye
elections to Assembly constituencies of various States. Accordingly, chief Electoral officer, unar
Pradesh vide letter no. 358tcEo-2-09/2-2024 datet 19t20.03.2024 addressed ro chief Electoral
officer, Delhi has requested for granting holidays to employees working in Delhi on the polling dates
ofthe concemed Parliament and Assembly Constituencies of Uttar pradesh.
Subsequently, Election Officer, Chief Electoral Office, GNCTD vide letter no.
cEo/coEll02(55)/2024/232 dated 22t03D024 addressed to commissioner (Labour), GNCTD, has
mentioned that all establishments, Factories, other business establishments in Delhi should ensure that
the electors residing in constituency of Uttar Pradesh and working in different establishmens
ofNCT
of Delhi should be granred paid holiday on the day of poll i.e. on 19.04.2024 (phase-l), 26.04.2024
(Phase-ll), 07.05.2024(Phase-ll I) and 13.05.2024 (phase-lV) in the their respective constituency
as
per schedule annexed as Annexure-A, to enable them to cast their yote.
Accordingly' all such emproyers of Industrial Estabrishments/Facrories /shops and
commercial Establishments in NCT of Derhi shafl granr paid holiday to their emproyees who
are
electors ofthe concerned Parliament and Assembly Constituencies of Uttar pradesh to
enable them to
cast lheir vote in their respective constituency on the day of po[ing in case scheduled day is a

working day for them/electors.
This issue with the approval of Commissioner (Labour).
