Jubilant FoodWorks Limited (JFL) is an Indian food service company based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh and is a part of
the Jubilant Bhartia Group, owned by Shyam Sunder Bhartia. The Company has the exclusive rights to develop and
operate Domino's Pizza Restaurants in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. The Company launched its first
Domino’s Pizza restaurant in Delhi in January 1996. JFL is the largest international franchisee for Domino’s brand
outside U.S.
With 1,325 stores across 282 cities in the country and a continually growing footprint, it’s safe to say that Domino’s
is one of the market leaders in their fast food industry. One of the things that made Domino’s so loveable is that they
managed to strike the perfect balance between local and western tastes. With the help of customised menus offering
pizza with an Indian take on them, they managed to please the taste buds of people across the subcontinent. Domino’s
encouraged its chefs across India to fine tune their recipes and in some cases, completely revamp them in order to
make them more appetising and appealing for the Indian palette. The local Indian flavour is evident in their sauces
and toppings. For instance, the Paneer Makhani pizza smothered in rich Makhani (buttery) sauce which is essentially
gravy is an excellent example of this. Another, made entirely from plant-based proteins, The Unthinkable Pizza is
100% vegetarian and yet has the sensory properties of chicken. They are the first to launch a plant-protein based food.
At present, JFL is also operating through its subsidiary companies in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The newly launched
Domino’s Pizza in Bangladesh breaks global record in number of orders in first week.
