Vision of Digital India:

DigiLocker, E-Hospitals, e-Pathshala, BHIM, e-


Kranti (electronic delivery of services), e-Health
Campaigns
Introduction
• Digital India is a flagship programme of the Government of India with a vision to
transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy

• Launched on 1st July 2015

• Three key vision areas:


1. Digital Infrastructure as a core utility to Every Citizen
2. Governance & Services on Demand
3. Digital Empowerment of Citizens
DigiLocker
• DigiLocker is a secure digital platform under the Digital India program that
allows Indian citizens to store and share important documents and certificates digitally

• Individuals can upload and access documents such as Aadhaar cards, driving
licenses, and educational certificates securely on the DigiLocker platform, which can be
accessed at https://www.digilocker.gov.in/
E-Hospitals
• E-Hospitals is an initiative aimed at improving the efficiency and accessibility of
healthcare services by providing online platforms for accessing medical records, booking
appointments, and consulting with healthcare professionals virtually

• All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and many other Hospitals has implemented
an advanced electronic health record system, allowing patients to access their medical
records and consult with doctors online, thereby enhancing the efficiency of healthcare
services

• Online Registration System (ORS) https://ors.gov.in/orsportal/


e-Pathshala
• e-Pathshala is an e-learning platform that provides digital educational resources
such as textbooks, audio-visual material, and interactive learning modules for students and
teachers, facilitating learning and teaching in schools and universities across India

• The national Repository of Open educational Resources (NROER) is an example of the


e-Pathshala initiative, providing access to a wide range of digital educational resources
BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money)
• BHIM is a digital payments app that enables quick, secure, and cashless
transactions simplifying the process of sending and receiving money using mobile devices
for individuals and businesses across India.
e-Kranti (Electronic Delivery of Services)
• e-Kranti focuses on transforming the delivery
of government services
electronically, reducing bureaucratic hurdles
and enhancing service delivery efficiency
through various digital platforms

• The e-District project in Haryana is an


example of the e-Kranti initiative, allowing
citizens to access government services,
certificates, licenses, and social welfare
schemes
through online portals, making service
delivery more efficient and accessible
e-Health Campaigns
• e-Health Campaigns utilize digital
technologies to improve public health
awareness and access to healthcare services,
often involving the disseminationof health
related information and the implementation n
of digital tools for effective public health
management

• The Swasth Bharat Mobile App, launched as


part of the e-Health Campaigns, provides
health-related information, articles, and
disease guidelines, promoting public health
awareness and providing easy access to
healthcare information for users
