INT. CAR(MOVING) - EVENING


The car drives down in the middle of no where. In the front
seat are two guys - both wearing monochromatic tees with
tired look on their face, all they want to do is go home and
rest their eyes. Their names are VINAY and EDDIE. Eddie is
behind the wheel.
VINAY
(looks at his phone)

Ed, innum 7 kms poganum nu map le


poturku. Aana inga ethum resort
irukura Mari therilaye.
EDDIE
(drives the car
diligently)
He stumbles across a house which seems to be placed far away
from the civilization. He looks at this house which seems
interesting and he decides to halt there or may be decides to
stay there for the rest of the night as he is tired driving
for a very long time.
He turns off the engine and puts on the hand brakes.
Angaaa, kaathale entharuchu
poikalam. Ippo vaa, intha veetule
thanguvom.
Vinay looks helpless as he’s got nothing to say for the
decision and follows what Ed says.
CUT TO:

INT./EXT. CAR(TRUNK) - CONTINUOUS

WE PLACE THE CAMERA INSIDE THE TRUNK.


Ed opens the trunk of the car to take the backpacks and
camera and gets ready to enter the house. As they take out
the things from the trunk…
VINAY
Yaarachum iruka porangada.

EDDIE
Intha Mari edathula yevanda iruka
poran, apdi irunthalum ethachu
Solli iniki oru night samaalipom.
yaarum illati, summa oru vlog eh
panni poduvom.
Va machi, explore panna thane
vanthom… pannuvom.
VINAY
Aama, time enna achu?
EDDIE
(looks at his watch)
Ummm, 11 mani’ku innum 7 mins
iruku.
THEY CLOSE THE TRUNK.
CUT TO:

INT. THE HOUSE - NIGHT

OVERHEAD SHOT AS THE DOOR OPENS AND THEY STEP INTO THE HOUSE.
RIGHT INSIDE THE DOOR STEP. DOORS LOCKED. THE LIGHTS DON’T
TURN ON.
THEY TAKE OUT ONE OF THE TORCHES FROM THEIR BACKPACK.
THE WHOLE HOUSE IS DARK EXCEPT FOR THE LIGHT FROM THE TORCH.

ED seems to be excited, whereas Vinay seems to be pretty much


scared looking at the place.

WE TRACK ALONG AS THEY WALK IN.


EDDIE
(with a smile in his face)
Inniki night Semma content.
Edu edu camera ve edu, full Veeta
cover panrom.

There are these several rooms one after the other.
They start getting curious and unlock one such rooms.

INT./EXT. 1ST ROOM(GLUTTONY) - CONTINUOUS


The room seems to be pretty much with the same tone as the
house. As Ed and Vinay open the room, they see a dark
unrecognisable figure Sitting on a chair and a table in
front, with a bottle of wine/liquor.
We never no/ nothing is revealed about who this person is.
Ed and Vinay are surprised at the presence of this unknown
man inside such a house.
The person is idle. Seems like he zoned out.
As these guys keep a step forward inside the room, the man
starts pouring the wine in a glass.
He pours and pours and pours. The wine is filled and starts
pouring over from the glass and pours all over on the table
and runs down slowly to the floor.
EDDIE
Machi, Yarra Ivan. Sarakku adikka
poran, paravale. Aana sarakku
vikira velaiku keelelaa uthitu
irukan.
VINAY
Avanaaa.. iru.. naaa poyi paakuren.
The unknown man starts gulping up slowly. He spills the wine
all over his white clean tee as he is drinking.
He goes for another round. Starts over-pouring the wine,
starts gulping it slowly as he pours the wine all over again
on his tee.

A SLOW VIOLIN WITH A LULLABY TONE PLAYS during the occurrence


of these scenes.

WE PAN SLOWLY TO THE OTHER CORNER OF THE ROOM.


Again, a mysterious man is eating a huge meal includes
biriyani, whole chicken, sweets and much more. He starts
eating it slowly and then starts pouring the curry onto his
plate aggressively and starts eating quickly like he’s been
starving for months. He doesn’t care about the mess he‘s
making. He devours on the food, gets hiccups but still
continues eating.
Meanwhile, Eddie and Vinay are in a confused state as to
what’s happening in front of their eyes.

THEY STEP OUT OF THE ROOM QUIETLY AND CLOSE THE DOOR.
VINAY (CONT'D)
(while holding his camera
on the other hand,
scratches his head)
Ed, naan dha appove sonne le.
Ithu Ivanga Veedu. Namma peasma
kelambuvom.
EDDIE
Dai, bayanthu saagathe daa.
Pakathule innoru room iruku. Anga
enna irukunu paathuruvom vaa.
VINAY
(whispers to himself)
Innaiku thoonguna mari dha,…

INT./EXT. 2ND ROOM(OBSESSION) - CONTINUOUS


They both approach towards the next room.
As they open the door, they see a guy sitting right in front
of his laptop, very sincerely/concentrated working.
This one is showed as to how obsessed a person is towards
their work.
He continuously types on the keyboard, doesn’t even move his
head, very deeply into the monitor’s blue light.. wearing
glasses.

EDDIE
Machi, Ivan yarra?
Intha nerathule, laptop eh Tokku
tokku nu thattitu irukan.
VINAY
Paavom, night shift pola.
Kedaikura allowance‘eh hospital
bill’kum maathrai’kum dha kattanum.
EDDIE
(tries to call this guy
whose working)
Brother…brother???
No response.
VINAY
Udra.. vaa kelambuvom…
Meanwhile, Vinay tries to go open the main door. The door
seems to be jammed and glued.

He tries harder which also freaks him out giving him a


feeling of being trapped inside the house.

Eddie remains calm and excited to walk around, filming the


rooms. He asks Vinay to not worry about it. Vinay gets along
with Eddie now.
INT/EXT. 3rd room(Lust) - CONTINUOUS
As they open this 3rd room, they see a guy with his
smartphone, scrolling through something.

VINAY (CONT'D)
(sighs)
Yebba, ivanachu ethu panname
irukane.
Brotherrr… brother ungalathan…
No response.
As this guy is walking along with his phone, he scrolls
through Instagram/dating apps, where he is constantly
checking out on several women profiles.
He is addicted on the appearance of the girls or just say he
is thirsty over women. Constantly, liking the posts of
models/attractive women. And, he talks to himself on how they
appear to him.
WE PLAY A MUSIC WITH FEMALE VOCALS, SLOW & MOODY.
EDDIE
(chuckles)
Machi, ivan seriyana gaaju‘ah
irupan pola.
VINAY
(he starts sweating)
Ed, yenda yaarukum namba pesurathu
kekalae?

EDDIE
Ava ava oru mood’le suthitu
irukan.. namba veetukulla varrarthe
ivanungalukku theriyale.. ithule
namma pesurathu epdi kekum.
VINAY
Ille da, veetukulle varum bothe

VINAY (CONT'D)
Ennaku ennamo bayama iruku, Vaa da
kelambuvom…
Vinay starts freaking out as he finds all the happenings to
be really weird. Eddie seems to be, yet, in a relaxed state.
Eddie convinces Vinay on going to the rest of the rooms.
Somehow, they try peeking into the next room.

INT./EXT. 4TH ROOM(GREED) - CONTINUOUS


As they enter the next room, we see a money plant(notes
pinned to the plant).
Also, a person with spectacles sitting in front of the screen
is tensed looking at the money he has invested. The price is
dropping and he looks tensed.
Suddenly, there’s a change in the market and he seems to be
happy as the price is increasing and he starts enjoying,
clapping his hands.
CUT TO:

HE PLUCKS THE MONEY FROM THE PLANT AND WALKS AWAY.


Moments later, he tries to invest more money even after
getting the profit.
He invests more money and then losses everything he had in
the trade.
CUT TO:

HE TRIES PULLING OFF THE PLANT FROM THE SOIL IN SEARCH OF


MONEY BUT HE DOESNT FIND ANY MONEY INSIDE THE SOIL.
Eddie and Vinay are confused over the situation and move into
the next room.
IN THIS SEQUENCE ED AND VINAY BOTH DONT SPEAK A WORD, THEY
JUST OPEN THE ROOM, CHECK IT AND MOVE INTO THE NEXT ROOM.

INT./EXT. 5TH ROOM(ENVY) - CONTINUOUS


As they enter the next room, they see a person sitting and
fidgeting a gun.
A voice is heard.

VOICE
Unnale ithu mudiyathu nu
nenaikuren.
PERSON
Athu epdi? Yennai pathi ennaku
theriyum. Avanukku mattum epdi
ithellam keduchuchu?
VOICE
Ithukellam karaname nee dhan… Athu
unakku theriyuma?
Eddie and Vinay are again Confused. They notice that this
person has a gun in his hand. So they are cautiously just
peeping through the doorway and they don’t completely enter
inside.
VOICE (CONT'D)
Solren le, thappu unthu.
Unnale antha edathuku poga
mudiyathu.
PERSON
Avan mattum illayena, naa engayo
poirupen. ippo, avan mattum nalla
car-u nalla veed-u nu santhoshama
irukan…
Appo naan ivlo kashta pattu enna
prayojano?
Ithuku naan epdi karanamaven?
Ithuku Avanthane prechana?
Avan illena athella enakku
kedaichirukum.

VOICE
Prechana veliya ille. Unakkulla
dhan.
Pesama vitru, unnale inimelum
mudiaythu.

The person bangs his head with the gun and after a while he
raises his gun near his jaw to shoot himself.
VINAY
Dei dei, anga parra Avan tharkola
panna pora Mari iruku.
EDDIE
Irru da, camera le paapom. Enna da
ethume maatalenu nenaichen.

Eddie starts recording.


Now, the voice starts convincing the person telling its him,
he’s the reason for this to happen.
The person shouts telling no, he’s not the reason.
To try to hide himself from the voice, he raises his gun and
shoots himself.
The door slams hard.

INT./EXT. 6TH ROOM(SLOTH) - CONTINUOUS


Now, Eddie and Vinay both are in a state of losing their shit
as they don‘t know what’s happening around.
They enter the next room to see a guy just lying on the bed.
Doing nothing for a very long time.
We see the wall clock, the time runs really fast(timelapse).
But all this guy does is, roll over the bed, eats snacks,
binge watching, being extremely lazy like a sloth.
At one point of time, he is almost dead on the bed. He falls
like a dead person on the bed, completely frozen, without any
movement.
Ed and Vinay notice this and go closer to check on him.

VINAY
Brother?? Bro.. irukingala???
EDDIE
Machi, vaa da enna achunu paapom.
They walk closer to this mysterious body lying on the bed.

WE PLACE THE CAMERA NEXT TO THE BODY’S HEAD, THAT ALSO


CAPTURES THESE GUYS AS WELL AS BODY’S HEAD.
As they get closer to him, they try to find if he’s still
breathing, they get much closer as they start breathing
harder. When they are about to touch the body,…
The body coughs all of a sudden and tries to get up…
These guys freak the shit out, gasping for air, shouting that
he’s still alive…

EDDIE (CONT'D)
(panicking)
Dai Dai, camera‘eh pack pannu,
kelambuvom..ennale inga iruka
mudiyathu.
(MORE)

EDDIE (CONT'D)
(He totally freaks out
after this incident)
Vinay still in shock, breathing heavily and sweating all over
himself, with no reaction.
They both sort of hesitate to move to the next room as they
are shit scared of what they just witnessed.

INT./EXT. 7TH ROOM(WRATH) - CONTINUOUS


EXTREME SHAKY CAM. WE GO HAND-HELD DURING THIS SEQUENCE.
As they move towards one last room hesitantly, Ed starts
getting mad over Vinay. This time Vinay understands the drill
of the 7 deadly present day SINS, he just wants to finish the
cycle of exploring the rooms.
As Vinay enters the room, he grabs a shovel/bat which is
placed outside the room, in a funny way as he’s expecting to
find another dead body which is going to wake up.

Vinay touches the door knob to open the room and holds the
shovel/bat in the other hand. He enters the room, leaving
Eddie behind.
He sees a black/dark figure standing still, turning behind.
Vinay thinks, killing this figure, they might escape this
whole concept of being caught inside the house.
Before Vinay enters the room…
EDDIE
(yelling out loudly in
agony)
Dai Mairu, solla solla ulle poriye
da. Sonna kelra. Already Semma
prechanai le maatikitu irukom.
Vinay is irritated on Ed’s yell.
VINAY
Kaththaadhe da. Naa evlo vaati
sonnen, dai inga Venda da, resort
ke poidlam’nu.
Nee Ketiya da? Nee ketiya da Mairu?
VINAY (CONT'D)
Ellam unnale dhan. Theva illadha
prechana. Solla solla kekama,ippo
vanthu vaa polam vaa polam nu
kathuran.

[add more wrath to the scene]


Ed starts realising that he was the only reason they are
going through all these. He remains silent.
WE MAINTAIN SILENCE IN THE FRAME.
Vinay enters the room.
THIS WHOLE SEQUENCE MUST LOOK LIKE A DREAM.
He turns behind and sees Ed mumbling and shouting, asking him
to come back. But nothing is audible to Vinay.
He is in confusion as to why he’s not able to hear anything.
He walks towards the figure, sweating, breathing heavily.

WE SET THE FRAME TO MID COVERING ED AND VINAY IN THE FRAME.


ED LEFT BEHIND. VINAY WALKING FORWARD, APPROACHING THE
FIGURE.
As Vinay turns back and looks forward, he finds a huge
mirror.
He is confused of the abrupt presence of a mirror out of
nowhere.
He immediately searches for a torch from his pocket and
flashes it on the mirror.
AT FIRST, THE MIRROR REFLECTS THE LIGHT AND BLINDS THE
SCREEN.
As Vinay flashes it over the mirror again, Ed walks in.
They both are confused and look at the mirror.
They have this “Moment of Realization”, as they look at the
mirror.

THE FRAME IS GRADUALLY SHAKING, ALONG WITH AN INTENSE MUSIC.
Eddie and Vinay shout loudly looking at the mirror, as they
realise, all the figures shown in the rooms were themselves.
Where they have been a victim to the 7 deadly sins of this
generation.
Gluttony, Obsession, Lust, Greed, Sloth, Envy & Wrath. All
these 7 sins are found in these 2 and that’s the sole purpose
of the whole back to back sequences occurring to them, until
they realise they were all happening in a day to day life.

Ed and Vinay continue to shout and then look at themselves


face to face and shout louder.
