Title : Power BI by Microsoft
Introduction
As part of ABC Finance’s aspiration to become strategic business partners and model data
citizens; we will be conducting a series of thematic learning experience and engagement activities
known as the TIME event. The objective of TIME event is to promote continuous learning whilst
building competencies throughout the finance transformation journey.
Goals
During this TIME for Analytics event, staff will learn about the importance of data and analytics and
how they will impact the staff while learning about self-service analytics to build their data
competencies.
Purpose
1. An instructor-led course to introduce the concept of self-service analytics and tools. Staff will
be able to use this simple knowledge to apply it in their current work task.
2. Staff can learn and apply the tool to perform sound and informative self-analysis as we will
provide hands-on learning for them.
Target Audience
Non – Executive, Training Executives, Secretaries, Executive Assistants, Heads of departments,
Managers, Senior Management, Directors, and individuals who will require to do reports and
analytics.

Problem
1. One-off reporting is time consuming. Gathering a huge amount of data from different
sources can be as uphill task.
2. Staff lack of data visualization skills
3. Reports prepared hard to share for collaboration purposes.
Opportunities
1. Power BI helps to access data instantly with less manual work.
2. Providing the users with an easy search of datasets.
3. Microsoft Power BI is a user-friendly and simple tool and can be used by anyone, even by
non-experienced BI people.
