 Action:
 Any truck reported with Steering gearbox noise need to follow as below,
 To identify condition when noise is observed,
 In engine on condition, turn the Steering wheel from centre to full Right / Left and release in static condition and check
 for any noise from steering gearbox. Repeat the above while truck is moving at low speed.
 No further action required, If the noise is heard while releasing the steering wheel from extreme right/left.
 If noise is heard while turning steering wheel from centre to right or centre left,
 1. Confirm no leakage and air bubble in steering lines (64534-2 Filling of hydraulic oil)
 2. Visual inspection of steering linkages for any fouling or loose parts.
 • Check the steering shaft
 • Check clearance in the ball joints (64313-2 Ball joint, link rod and track rod, axial play, check).
 If the above points are checked and still we are able to hear the noise, then replace the steering gearbox and provide
 the information as per “Warranty Bulletin 5.6.64.2”

 of the steering noise and visibility of Instrument cluster.
