To Whom it May Concern,

Greetings!

The Chocolate Hills is one of the symbols of our Philippines’ heritage and cultural
identity. Meanwhile, the said resort in this area will cause risks and will endanger
the preservation of this tourist attraction and will jeopardize the integrity of this
tourist attraction holds. As a Filipino, I am against this issue and this letter is to
express my strong opposition against the controversial resort.

The Chocolate Hills had captivated both local and international tourists around
the world and consider it as the one of the nature’s priceless gifts to us. The
construction of the resort here might cause a long-term damage to the
endangered ecosystem of the plants and animals living here. The development
in this area will increase the human activity that will eventually result to pollution,
soil erosion, and other environmental issues may arise.

Furthermore, the Filipinos value these Hills as a significant part of their culture and
history. It is one of the sources of their pride and it represents their rich and colorful
history. The building of the resort or any commercial infrastructure here will destroy
its authenticity and will lessen its cultural value. For the benefit of education and
for the future children, it is essential to make these spots remain protected and
conserved.

Rather than pursuing many construction projects that would harm the beauty of
the Chocolate Hills and its cultural heritage, Filipinos should investigate more
sustainable options to preserve the environment and practice responsible tourism.
Eco-friendly ventures, locally driven tourism endeavors, and educational
campaigns stressing the need of protecting such natural treasures as the
Chocolate Hills might all fall under this group.

At the end, I encourage everyone involved to give the preservation of this famous
location top priority and to reconsider the planned construction of the Chocolate
Hills Resort. For the sake of present and future generations, let's unite to discover
solutions that preserve cultural heritage, respect the environment, and guarantee
the long-term survival of this natural beauty.
