Database Systems Lab Proposal

Introduction
Our tourism website acts as a starting point for those wishing to plan a trip
anywhere from Karachi to Kheyber, all the way from north to south. We
provide a wide collection of areas with available transport. Be it the cradle of
Buddhist civilization, Gandhara or the heart of Sufism in Multan, be it living
the rich colors and the curious alleys of Androon Lahore or experiencing the
centuries old mysterious traditions of the people of Kalash among the lush
green valleys and sky high mountains; this website makes planning your
trips easier with just a few clicks of adding your info and choosing your
dream holiday location. Viewers can book their tickets online after choosing
a place to go. Moreover, they can also view famous attractions and all
available facilities on the way. Customer records are kept on the basis of
which they can also get discounts. Planning a holiday was never this easy!

Functionalities:
1. Login: Administrators and User will be able to register and login the
system using valid credentials.
2. Billing: Automatic bill calculation based on choices and currency
conversion option.
3. Personal profile: Personal profile with previous areas visited and add
locations to their wish list.
4. Personal info: Users can travel alone or with friends and family and
provide complete information of their travel companions on their
account.
5. Make reservations: User will be able to book tickets online and make
reservations.
6. Pre-planned tours: Users can select a pre-planned tour with fixed
durations, decided destinations and allotted guides.
7. Personalize your tours: Users can plan and personalize their tours
based on their preference. They can chose from a collection of areas
and their mode of transport. Information about whether, terrain,
attractions, restaurants, hotels and their contact numbers will be
provided
8. Filter and sort: Users can sort tours and their facilities on basis of
their cost and ratings. User can also filter locations and attractions
based on certain tags.
9. Rate and comment: Users can share their experiences, rate their
expeditions and add comments on their tour. This information is visible
to all the users.
10. Administrator rights: Administrators can add/remove/modify
the available locations and allot tour guides.
11. Special offers: Administrators can modify tour details and offer
discount e.g. special holidays discounts etc.
12. Feedback: Users can provide feedback, questions and complaints
visible only to administrators.
