Title: The place I live and study in.
Objective: Describe the place I live and/ or study in.
Step 1: Preparation stage
1- Form groups of 10 students each.
2- Select the topics among the following:
Theme 1: Your university.
Refer to: personal information - occupation- types of educational institutions- your study
place- your career-other careers- subjects you study- what the university is like ( adjectives)-
university facilities /places or services ( quantity & location of them )- university personnel
(description of them )- your school items ( quantity and location of them).

Plural of nouns: Add –S or –ES to form the plural of nouns.
The plural –S is pronounced in three different ways: /S/, / Z/, /IZ/.
The verb : have got-(ter).
e.g: I – you- we- they have got a bag / two bags.
She - he - it has got a book / four books.
Adjectives are used to describe something or someone.
What is the (place) like?
e.g: The University is comfortable / uncomfortable.
I study at a big and new polytechnic institute.
The teachers are intelligent, kind and well-prepared.

Prepositions of place are used to express the position or location of something
or someone: at- in- on- next to- near the- far from- in front of- across from- behind-
on the left – on the right- in the middle of- on the second floor/ basement, etc.
e.g: My book is on the table.
The teacher is in front of the students.
The board is behind the teacher.
The library is on the second floor.
The student´s car park/ parking lot is across from the college.
Prepare your speech.
Techniques for a good presentation
Organize your oral presentation in advance. ( Use pictures, posters, a computer a
power point, etc)
Identify the main points.
Practice delivering the talk over and over again.
Don‘t read all the time.
Get your colleagues to give you constructive and critical feedback.
Make your written work ( a composition containing more than 60 words) , to be
handed in .
