For performance and fuel rate values, refer to the engine data sheet or the fuel pump
code for the particular model involved.

Maximum fuel supply restriction at the lift pump inlet:


With clean prefilter element(s) 100 mm Hg [4.0 in Hg]

With dirty prefilter element(s) 203 mm Hg [8.0 in Hg]

Maximum fuel drain restriction:


Includes fuel cooler 508 mm Hg [20.0 in Hg]

Minimum allowable fuel tank vent capability:


With back pressure less than or equal to
425 liters/hr [15 cu ft/hr]
64 mm Hg [2.5 in Hg]

Maximum fuel filter restriction:


Maximum pressure drop across filters 34.4 kPa [5.0 psi]

Minimum pressure at injection pump inlet:


At idle 172.3 kPa [25.0 psi]

At rated speed 241.3 kPa [35.0 psi]

All QST30 engines built before January 3, 2000, have a two letter fuel pump timing
code on the engine dataplate instead of a numerical fuel pump timing value. The
following table contains all two letter fuel pump timing codes and their corresponding
nominal value in degrees.

Use the following procedures for assistance in timing the QST30 fuel pumps:
