Human Impact on Climate Change

The document discusses the extent to which climate change is caused by human activities, highlighting that human actions such as pollution and deforestation significantly contribute to climate change. It presents differing opinions on the issue, with some arguing that climate change is a natural phenomenon while the majority of scientists attribute it to human impact. The conclusion emphasizes the need for solutions to mitigate climate change and improve human interaction with nature.

Assignment title: To what extent is Climate Change a result of
human activities?

Introduction
Climate change is a hotly debated topic but not deeply understood. This concept is a
very broad, controversial one and attracts a lot of opinions and hypotheses about what causes
these climate changes but also what are the solutions. Therefore, climate change is at least as
important as the long-term effects. Climate change is a consequence of human activities.
Climate change is a result of human actions that cause changes in nature globally. Climate
change takes place and is different from year to year. Summers are very hot, even dry, and
winters are not so cold, sometimes there are strong storms or extreme natural phenomena that
cause natural disasters. The present essay will analyze the concept of climate change and will
discuss the contribution of man through his activities in climate change that takes place every
year.
Arguments
The concept of climate change is perceived only as a phenomenon or a process of
global warming, but this is not entirely true. Climate change is the totality of abnormal
climate change that occurs as a result of daily human activities. Specifically, one of the daily
human activities is the pollution of air, water and land, and the consequence is felt in the
increase of average annual temperatures. Also, deforestation is a common phenomenon made
by humans and leads to landslides, floods and lack of wetlands. Pollution can also lead to
severe storms in some areas, while in other areas it can lead to drought and burning of
vegetation. Therefore, climate change is changes in wind, changes in extreme weather events,
changes in rainfall, drought, floods, wildfires, drying of waters and oceans, the death of
animals in the oceans and more. Also, landslides, the death of thousands of living species and
the melting of glaciers and other effects of climate change that have been caused by human
activities. In addition, anything that affects nature and the environment will directly affect
human life. Pollution leads to drought, and this has a negative impact on humans because it
needs the most water. Drought also leads to the destruction of agricultural plantations, and
this phenomenon leads to massive increases in food prices, but especially to a decrease in
productivity and thus there will not be enough food for everyone. Every human activity has a
negative or positive impact on nature and thus on climate change, and these in turn have
effects on human life. (Soon and Baliunas 2003)

Fluctuations in global average temperatures are a consequence of climate change, ie

the dramatic increase in global average temperature and the drop in temperatures greatly in
short time intervals. According to a study conducted by two researchers in the field of
meteorology, it was specified that although 2013 was one with extreme weather events, this
period was not the only one that recorded extreme weather events. They also said that there
will be other extreme weather events in the future, more and more frequent and serious if
people do not realize that through daily activities, done wrongly affects nature and leads to
change. climate. Any effect has a consequence, and man through his activities continues to
damage nature and thus the effect consists not only in changing annual temperatures but also
in climate change. Even though climate change is occurring more and more often, people are
the ones who feel this phenomenon and not many are the ones who manage to cope with the
infernal heat, or the rains, landslides or storms that destroy their homes. In addition to
material damage, people suffer from changes in global average temperatures and this
phenomenon is felt in their health. ,,During a recent congressional hearing, Rick Perry, the
US energy secretary, remarked that “to stand up and say that 100% of global warming is
because of human activity, I think on its face, is just indefensible”.

Although many researchers have sounded the alarm on all these issues and many
others to argue that man through his activities is what causes climate change, there are people
and researchers to the contrary who contradict and come up with arguments. In this regard.
According to the authors Mann, M., Zhang, Z., Hughes, M., Bradley, R., Miller, S.,
Rutherford, S. and Ni, F. (2008), man is not the only one responsible for climate change.
They come with strong arguments such as the fact that the planet Earth has witnessed
catastrophic climate change since before the existence of the human species. They believe
that climate change is a normal phenomenon that must take place in order to change the way
we live and the needs of the earth and the universe. Although the arguments seem strong and
convincing, there are a much larger number of scientists, researchers and ordinary people
who believe that man through his activities is responsible for climate change.

Many studies have shown that people are guilty of climate change through their
actions. By human actions is meant all the activities that man does every day and that
negatively affect nature. For example, factories pollute the air, just as cars pollute the air.
Throwing waste into water and sea, or leaving waste in forests and green areas leads to
endangering the lives of living things. The cutting and deforestation of forests leads to the
death of hundreds of species of animals and birds, but also to landslides and floods. Including
agricultural and animal husbandry activities lead to nature pollution. But in time, all these
daily activities of man also lead to diseases, which will also affect man. Numerous
researches and publications have tried to sound the alarm for each person regarding the
climate changes that take place daily and that feel more and more extreme. According to a
survey conducted by the EIB (Banque Europeenne d'Investissement), people about the causes
and effects of climate change have directly asked the general public what their views are on
climate change. They were asked directly if they believe that man, through his actions, is
responsible for climate change. This study has two sides, namely: the first is the one who
wants to prove once again that man through his actions responsible for climate change, and
the second girl is the one who wants to see if man is aware of his actions and more chosen to
do something about it.

The daily human activities spent so far can not be changed, as they have already
created effects now and in the near future. The most important are the changes for the better
and in the change of the human mentality and of the way he treats nature and relates to it
when he does his daily activities. According to the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework
Convention on Climate Change), measures to prevent and stop climate change are much more
important. A limitation of the increase in global average temperatures is desired. According
to the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), climate change is the cause of
irreversible and huge changes. According to IPCC publications, humans are the only ones
responsible for climate change and the only ones that cause negative effects that will also
affect people in the future. ,,However, the science on the human contribution to modern
warming is quite clear. Humans emissions and activities have caused around 100% of the
warming observed since 1950, according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate
Change’s (IPCC)’’

Conclusion
There will always be different opinions in any field of activity, just as there are
different opinions on the concept of climate change but also on the degree of human
involvement through its activities in creating the effects of climate change. Thus, there are
people who believe on the one hand that daily actions are not the only ones responsible for
climate change, and on the other hand people, researchers or scientists who sound the alarm
about this concept and how man is to blame for climate change. Even if the arguments are for
and against, it is very important that above the battle over who is more responsible or not for
climate change, solutions must be found to limit climate change and for human involvement
in nature care and improvement. nature to improve their way of life. Climate change is one of
the most alarming, dangerous and worrying events that has irreversible effects. But this can
be changed if man understands how it contributes to climate change and if he takes a stand on
it.
