We start our tour around the world in Portugal where we depart from Porto’s Airport at 6:05

am with France as a destiny. The flight was 2hours and 10 minutes long and we landed safely in
Paris airport Orly at 9:15 am.

In comparison with Portugal the weather in Paris is not so different whatsoever we warned by
the locals that it might rain, and with only a day to spare we started our tour around the city of
love.

Ww went on a bus tour around the city, we bought an all-day pass to the hop-on hop-off bus
that would lead us around the most famous places of the city allowing us to get off when we
want to visit any monument and later hop back on.

With this bus we were able to see multiple landmarks such as the arch of triumph were we first
caught our bus, the champ Élysées, the the place de la Concorde, the ópera garnier and the
louvre where we made our first stop to walk around the famous landmark before walking
towards the notre dame.

We the tried the famous French croissans and pain au chocolat before walking by the riverside
stalls and hopping on the bus again. Once on the bus we got to see the Trocadero, the pont
Alexandre III, as well as the champ the mars and the Eiffel tower.

We decided to try the famous French cuisine starting with an onion soup and escargots.

To end our day, we then climbed the Eiffel tower at night, we rode the elevator to the second
floor of the monument, where we looked at one of the most beautiful sights we had ever seen,
the city of light illuminated during the night.

Later we arrived at the train station around 2am, where we rested before our trip toward
London that left Paris at 7am. 2 hours and half after we departed from Paris, we arrived at the
London St. Pancras International station at around 8:30 am.

We then caught the underground towards the London bridge that we quickly visited before
catching the underground once again towards Chinatown. The London weather was slightly
colder then paris’s but it was still perfect for some on foot tourism.

Once in Chinatown we decided to have lunch there.

for dinner, so we headed towards Trafalgar square to a restaurant called Sherlock Holmes that
served us one of the most famous fish dishes, fish and ships, that we without a doubt loved.

After such a tiring day we decided to ride one of the most famous ferry wheels in the world,
the London Eye, which allowed us to see the streets of London full of life even at nighttime.

Once the day was over, we reached London Airport at around 1am.

Saying goodbye to London wasn’t any easier than saying it to Paris but we still left for Oslo,
Norway at 7 am.

After a 2hour flight that allowed us to sleep some more we were more than ready to explore
Oslo when we arrived at 10 am, the cold and rainy weather in Norway didn’t stop us from
exploring the whole city starting by Oslo’s royal palace where we walked around the gardens
and did some sightseeing.

Once we left the palace, we then had lunch and tried a Norway’s national dish Farikal, lamb
with cabbage.

We then visited the Oslo Opera House before heading towards the City’s Vigeland Park to gape
at the 55 feet tall monolith which is the centerpiece of the park.

at dinner time, we tried Kjøttboller the Norway’s tradition meatballs which were delicious as
well as Skillingsboller which is their own version of cinnamon rolls, that left us salivating for
more.

After all these delicious dishes we finally left for the airport.

Thailand

We leave Sydneys airport at 22: 15 pm in a 16-hour flight to Bangkok in Thailand where we


arrived safely around 10: 30 am and unfortunately it was raining a lot, but the weather was
slightly hotter around 30 degrees Celsius.

We decided to start our day by visiting the grand palace.

After we tried a bit of the famous thai cuisine,we had 3 different types of Pad thai, chicken,
vegetables and shrimp, as well as Kao Niew Ma Muang which is Mango and Sticky Rice as a
desert

We then visited wat pho to an amazing Buddhist temple before grabbing a train to the
Maeklong railway market to visit the various stalls.

Later we went to the center of the city where we had some Tom Kha Gai (Chicken in Coconut
Soup) and Panang (Thai Curry).

At 1am we finally left Bangkok’s airport in a 5hour and a half to Seoul, South Korea, which
allowed us to get some sleep before arriving at korea’s capital around 8:50 am.

We the visited the N Seoul Tower and go up the south Korean tower to be able to have one of
the best views of the city. Luckily the weather was cool, and the sky was clear allowing us to
have a beautiful view.

We then went to the Gwangjang Market, a traditional Korean street food market by metro to
have lunch. There we found multiple stalls of street food and we decided to try a bit of
everything, starting by the most delicious teokbokki which are rice cakes in a sweet and spicy
sauce, followed by some fish cakes, japchae and Kkwabaegi aka Twisted Doughnuts before
ending with some Hotteok, Korean sweet fried pancakes as a desert.

We then visited Hybe insight and did a tour around the agency of the biggest boy band in the
world before having dinner and trying some kimchi kimbap and Korean hot dogs.

nepal
We then caught our flight to Nepal that left at 11:30 pm and arrived in kathmandu at 12am,
where unfortunately it was raining even though the temperatures were slightly higher.

We went to a local restaurant to try Nepal’s traditional food such as momos and chatamari
what most call Nepali pizza,

We then visited the Pashupatinath Temple a beautiful hindu temple. And after, we went to
Durbar Square also called royal Squares and do a tour around the palace and museum.

We then decided to end the day by visiting the magnificent Bouddha Stupa before sitting down
at a restaurant to enjoy some Dal Bhat, rice served along with lentil soup and vegetable curry
or chicken which is very common in every Nepali home, as well as Wo or Bara a type of Nepali
pancakes and some Sel Roti which is A fusion of doughnut and a bagel.

We then went to the airport to catch a 24 hour flight to Cape city, South Africa.

mexico

We leave Mexico City at around 1:30 am in a 4h30 flight to Bogota, Colombia that arrives
around 7am, unfortunately when we landed it was raining but it wasn’t that cold luckily.

We visited the Plaza de Bolívar and tried some traditional Columbian tamales and arepas.

We then also visited the monserrate mountain, where we did a guided tour around the heart
of bogota, which included a tour around the iconic monserrate hill as well as the gold museum
and we were also able to learn about the pre-hispanic heritage of Columbia.

After such an eventful evening we decided to grab dinner close to the mountain and finish the
day with a warm bowl of ajiaco and a traditional street snack, obleas, as dessert.

brazil

We left for the airport to catch our 10:30 pm flight to Brasilia, Brazil that took 9hours, making
us arrive around 9:30 pm, the weather gave us a much-welcomed change with 32 degrees
Celsius in the early morning.

We started our stay in brasil by visiting the Metropolitan Cathedral of Brasilia, A Beautiful
roman catholic church, filled with angles saphires on the inside and an amazing architecture
dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary under her title of Our Lady of Aparecida.

For lunch we had Feijoada and some pão de queijo.

Later we also visited The Palácio do Planalto, one of the official palaces of the Presidency.

After all this we tried some pastels and went to the airport were we later caught a flight to
buenos aires that lasted 4hours and landed at 6am.

Buenos aires

Once in buenos aires the weather was a bit colder but still nice.
There we did a guided tour around The Teatro Colón which is the main opera house in Buenos
Aires, Argentina, and has the room with the best acoustics for opera and the second best for
concerts in the world.

We then decided to visit a famous local restaurant, Cabaña Las Lilas, at lunchtime. There we
tried one of the most famous dishes in Argentina, parrilladas which is a mix of grilled meat,
which besides being expensive was really delicious.

We then departed to Ushuaia, that being the most southern city in the world was an excellent
starting point for our departure for the Antarctic cruise.

Where we go to enjoy the nearby tierra del fuego national park, as well as some Argentinean
wines and barbecue meats and explore some boutiques before leaving for the expedition.

Antarctic cruise

On the first day of our cruise, we embarked at late afternoon. The vessel sails down the historic
Beagle channel, which transects the tierra del fuego in the extreme south of south America.

Through our fifth to 8th day of the cruise we took excursions from the ship to explore the
remote bays, channels and landing sites each day. We got to gape at some wildfire such as
penguins,
