The idea of Satyagraha emphasised the power of truth and the need to search for truth. It
suggested that if the cause was true, if the struggle was against injustice, then physical force was
not necessary to fight the oppressor. Without seeking vengeance or being aggressive, a
satyagrahi could win the battle through non-violence. This could be done by appealing to the
conscience of the oppressor. People – including the oppressors – had to be persuaded to see the
truth, instead of being forced to accept truth through the use of violence. By this struggle, truth

There are some animals and plants which are unique in an area. In fact, India is one of the
world's richest countries in terms of its vast array of biological diversity. This is possibly twice
or thrice the number yet to be discovered. The forest and wildlife resources .is very important of
in our daily life. These diverse flora and fauna are so well integrated in our daily life that we
take these for granted. Lately, they are under great stress mainly due to insensitivity to our
environment. Even if we want to conserve our vast forest and wildlife resources, it is rather
difficult to manage, control and regulate them. In India, much of the forest and wildlife
resources are either owned or managed by the government through the Forest Department or
other government departments, recognizing that only this will secure their own long-term
livelihood. Conservation strategies are not, new in our country. We often ignore that in India,
forests are also home to some of the traditional communities. In some areas of India, local
communities are struggling to conserve these habitats along with government officials.
