Summary
(Provide in detail report of session progress)
The following topics were discussed-
Introduction to IOT
Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of physical objects or people called
“things” that are embedded with software, electronics, network, and sensors that
allows these objects to collect and exchange data. The goal of IoT is to extend to
internet connectivity from standard devices like computer, mobile, tablet to
relatively dumb devices like a toaster.
IoT makes virtually everything “smart,” by improving aspects of our life with
the power of data collection, AI algorithm, and networks. The thing in IoT can
also be a person with a diabetes monitor implant, an animal with tracking
devices, etc. This IoT tutorial for beginners covers all the Basics of IoT.
Introduction to Embedded system
An embedded system is a microprocessor-based computer hardware system
with software that is designed to perform a dedicated function, either as an
independent system or as a part of a large system. At the core is an integrated
circuit designed to carry out computation for real-time operations.
Hands-on session on IOT Lab experiments
● Transmit a string using UART
● Point-to-Point communication of two Motes over the radio frequency.
● Multi-point to single point communication of Motes over the radio
frequency.LAN (Subnetting).
● I2C protocol study
