The diagram illustrates the production of ethanol fuel from corn .

Overall , this is a step-by-step

process that comprises nine stages , beginning with the harvesting of corn and culminating in
the delivery stage.
At the first stage , corn is harvested from the field and stored in a ware before being put onto a
milling machine where corn is ground into a fine powder .The milled corn is subsequently mixed
with water and the resulting solution is cooked for an extended of time ( about 4 hours ) , after
which it is transferred to another machine which ferment the mixture for 2 days .
After the process of fermentation , solid product is separated from liquid ethanol . It takes five
days for the resulting ethanol to be purified by removing any impurities . The actual product was
stored before being delivered to the gas station .

The diagram depicts the process of recycling stormwater in an Australian city . Overall , there
are five steps , starting from collecting rainwater and culminating in clean water being pumped
to houses to recycle stormwater
At the first stage of the process , rain is collected from drains and then flows into pipes before
being transferred to a water recycling plant where unwanted substances are removed from the
stormwater through a four-stage process . As soon as plastic and rubbish are first filtered out ,
storm water moves to the next stage of eliminating small particles . Afterwards , impurities such
as bacteria , viruses , molecules and salt are removed from the storm water for its sanitation
purposes .
At the next stage of the process , water is chlorinated at 4mg/l to make sure that it is safe for
consumption before being stored in a chamber . The water is subsequently pumped into the
house and used for household purposes .

The diagram illustrates the process of recycling plastics . Overall , there are six stages ,
beginning with buying and using new plastic products and culminating in delivering to the
shop .
In the first stage , new products displayed in shops are purchased , used and thrown away .
Since plastic bags and rubbish cannot be renewable , they are sent to the landfill ready to be
buried . In contrast , plastic bottles and containers are used for recycling purposes . After being
collected , those bottles are delivered to the sorting house where they are first divided into
different categories .
In the next stage of the process , plastic bottles are distributed by trucks to the factory where
they are processed and made into new plastic products . Finally , the actual products are
delivered back to the shop ready to be sold .
