2.3 INTENDED USE

The CHART PROJECTOR is a medical device that projects high-quality
images on a wall screen, it allows to measure and evaluate the visual
capacity and to detect potential limitations or defects.
All chart projectors provide a various gamma of tests, that fully meet
the complete needs for diagnostics.
The device allows to project up to 47 different tests even in normal
light condition (stereoscopic tests, for heterophoria, astigmatism, red-
green, polarized, besides the letters, numbers, tumbling E, drawings
for children and the Landolt's rings).
The device is equipped with a white LED illumination source that,
thanks to a high-resolution optical system and high-quality optotypes,
provides clear and well-defined pictures also with the smallest
optotypes.
The optotypes are sealed in a hermetic chamber thus guaranteeing
elevated test cleaning, which is preserved for
The projector is controlled by an infrared remote control, according to
two methods: the selection of individual tests by pressing the
corresponding button or the programming of a sequence of tests.
The buttons are marked by the symbols and by the related visual
acuity values.
The use of step by step motors, controlled by a microprocessor makes
it possible to pass immediately from any one test to another. The high
quality of the motors ensures speed and precision in the presentation
of the tests without any kind of trembling.
Models CP1042 and CP1142 (One disk eye charts projectors
magnification 30x)
Models CP1042 and CP1142 are chart projectors with one disk
projection enlargement 30x, 45 tests with red-green and polarizing
filters and masks of horizontal and vertical lines and single letters.
Model CP1042 has logMAR progression while model CP1142 has linear
progression. They can be interfaced through RS232 with the most
common automatized phoropters.
