Yoke – Using color 1, ch57, (RS) 1dc in 4th ch from hook,
1dc in the next 6ch, (front) 3dc in next ch, 1dc in next
8ch, (shoulder) 3dc in next ch, 1dc in the next 19ch,
(back) 3dc in next ch, 1dc in the next 8ch, (shoulder) 3dc
in next ch, 1dc in the next 8ch. (front) Fasten off. Turn.
(62dc + ch3)
Join in color 2
2nd Row – (Inc Row) ch3, * 1dc in each dc to 3dc group,
1dc in next dc, 3dc in centre dc on 3dc group, * rpt from
* to * to last 3dc group, 1dc in next dc, 3dc in centre dc
on 3dc group, 1dc in each dc to end, 1dc in top of ch3.
Turn. (70dc + ch3)
3rd Row – Rpt 2nd Row. Fasten off. (78dc + ch3)
4th to 11th Rows – Starting with color 1, rpt 2nd Row,
(changing color every 2 rows, ending with color 2 on 11th

12th Row (shape armholes) – Join in color 1, ch3, 1dc in
each dc to 3dc group, 1dc in next dc, 2dc in centre dc on

skip 30dc, 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each dc to end, 1dc in

Body
Rejoin color 1 to any dc underarm, ch3, 1dc in each dc
around to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row.
Fasten off. Turn. (86dc + ch3)
Starting with color 2 rpt last row changing color every 2
rows until 23 rows have been worked in all from
beginning. Fasten off.
Join in color 1, ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of
ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.
Rib Row – ch3, * fpdc around next dc, bpdc around next
dc, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch3 on
beginning of row.
Rpt Rib Row twice more. Fasten off.
Sleeves x 2 – With WS facing, re-join color 1 to side of dc
underarm, ch3, 1dc in each of next 30dc, 1dc in side of dc
on opposite side of armhole, sl st to top of ch3 on
beginning of row. Turn. (31dc + ch3)
Next Row – ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3
on beginning of row. Turn. Fasten off.
Starting with color 2 rpt last row changing color every 2
rows until 13 rows have been worked in all from
beginning. Fasten off.
Join in color 1, ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of
ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.
Rib Row – ch3, * fpdc around next dc, bpdc around next
dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, fpdc around dc, sl st to top
of ch3 on beginning of row.
Starting with bpdc, rpt Rib Row once more. Fasten off.
Button/Buttonhole Bands – With RS facing, join color 1
to lower edge on front split, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work
23 more sc evenly along first front edge to corner, 3sc in
corner, 1sc in each ch around neck to next corner, 3sc in
corner, work 24sc evenly along second front edge to end.
Turn.
Buttonhole Row – ch1, 1sc in stitch at base of ch1, 1sc in
each of next 3sc, * ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in each of next 9sc,
* rpt from * to * once, ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in last sc. Turn.
Starting with ch1, 1sc in stitch at base of ch1, work 1sc in
each ch2 space and sc to end. Fasten off.
Return to second side and with WS facing working from
neck downwards, join color 1 with a sl st, ch1, 1sc in
stitch at base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.
Starting with ch1, 1sc in stitch at base of ch1, work 1sc in
each sc to end. Fasten off.
Collar – With WS facing, skipping the button/buttonhole
bands on either side of neck opening and working in back
loop of the stitch only, join color 1 to next sc, ch3, * 2dc
in next sc, 1dc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.
(81dc + ch3)
Rib Row – ch3, * fpdc around next dc, bpdc around next
dc, * rpt from * to * to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.
Rpt Rib Row until 6 Rows have been worked for collar.
Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in all loose ends of yarn and trim,
attach 3 buttons to correspond with buttonholes.
