National Service Training Program or a very known as the NSTP it is a program
aimed at enhancing civic consciousness and defense preparedness in the youth by
developing the ethics of service and patriotism. That's what we defined the meaning of
NSTP, under the program you can choose whether you want ROTC or Reserve
Officers' Training Corps and CWTS or Civic Welfare Training Service. Let's know what
ROTC and CWTS is all about. ROTC deals with military training that will motivate, train,
organize, and mobilize students/ youth for national defense preparedness while the
CWTS provides an opportunity for students to share their time, talent, energy, and
resources with marginalized communities/sectors. choose CWTS or Civic Welfare
Training Service to exercise what can contribute in the environment and to learn in the
environment.
n the first day we met our beloved professor, Ms. Diva that taught as why we
were in her class, what is the importance of NSTP in us and in the environment. n the
following day, we were given a chance to know each other and to make friends with
other that we didn't know yet. Finally after that memorable kind of activity, we have
friends that we can mingle with and we know what our classmates name.
A day followed with an exciting activity that Ms. Diva grouped us and told us to
make a group cheer, everybody have been busy in an hour for making their most and
energetic group cheer, because everybody are enjoying in participating in their
respective group mates. Then finally cheering has begun, the room filled with
excitement and tension in the participating
groups.
Another day has followed that makes
everyone think, because Ms. Diva gave us a kind
of activity about on how we can express being
"makabayan, makakalikasan, makatao, and
makadiyos. She group us again in different
members, here it begun the brainstorming of the
group mates in the different groups. Everybody is
thinking on how they can express it in acting, or even in a drama. After an hour waiting
of our professor for the presentation of the different groups, finally acting has begun,
everybody are dedicated for what they are doing, everybody are participating to make
their presentation filled with life and to make their audience alive in watching.
n the following day excitement have been vanish, because talent of creativity
and being clever in making an artwork have begun. Ms. Diva grouped us again for
another kind of activity, in making a paper tower. Creativeness and cleverness in
building up a tower with the use of a paper are express by the group mates in their
respective groups. Then an hour later, we are invited to attend in Korean nationals, this
lead us to know more on them in the way they give importance of being a Christian and
to make friends with Filipino citizens.
A day has come that we didn't grouped by our professor because of a more
important reason. Ms. Diva prepared a projector with her Laptop and told us to listen
and watch attentively. She told us that we will watch the documentary of "Basura
documented by a reporter. n time we are currently watching the documentary,
everybody is attentive for watching the documentary of "Basura, and everybody gets
curious why children are there in the mountain of trash. Finally after we watch we've
been learned to conserve environment.
Then the very waiting of everyone have met this day, we
with our professor, Ms. Diva, are going outside the campus to
do immersion program or known as the clean up drive. We've
been in a barangay to make a clean up drive, to put all garbage
in the trash can or in a plastic bag. Different strategies were
been made by the students in getting
the garbage to clean the area. After
cleaning the area, a number of plastic
bags have been full of garbage that we
put and organize it to the side of the
barangay office for the garbage trucks.
A day has come that Ms Diva told us to form a circle inside the room. We didn't
have any idea for what she wants to do with us. Then she said that we will prepare a
one sheet of paper and a ballpen to write what is our first impression with our
classmate, so we are free to express what we want to say with our classmate. n the
time that we are busy in the activity of circular lettering, we are happy for what we are
doing to express our feeling and our complements to our classmates.
