Key Memory

The document discusses key memories and how they can be used in roleplaying games. A key memory is an important event from a character's past that provides inspiration and can be used once per session for a favored roll if relevant. However, it can also lead the character further onto their shadow path or be used by the Loremaster to give a shadow point. The document provides tables to roll on to discover a character's key memory based on their heroic culture and calling.

Memory Table #3

Depending on where your Key Memory takes place, in a settlement or in the wilderness, one
of the two Memory Tables might be more appropriate. If you want and the Loremaster
agrees, you could even use both tables. For example, if you encounter a Troll while in the
company of a trusted friend. You can also roll a D6 first to determine which table to use.
Although an encounter with a beast is almost always dangerous, an encounter with a person
can be as equally perilous.
