I'm from Reykjav�k, Iceland but

i grow up in Edinburgh. My late wife died many years ago, my daughter Esther is all
i have in this whole wild world. I was born in a city called Reykjav�k in Iceland
where my father is from . I am the only child of my both parents whom died many
years ago. I never had the chance to be really close to my mom and dad but i still
love them even as they are no more.

I moved to the Scotland with the help of my uncle. I was able to study everything
i wanted which was Medicine and Philosophy. I studied at The University of
Edinburgh, Scotland. Like you know l am a surgeon, specialize in treating injuries
from car crashes,gunshot wounds,stabbings and other traumatic injuries with
Orthopedic surgery especially victims affected in war and internally displaced
persons over here in Yemen.

I have been working for the UN for over 20 years now and i have been privileged to
have worked in so many different countries and currently i have been posted to
Yemen now for about 11 months now. My wife died of Leukemia cancer 7 years ago
that was when my daughter was still 6 years old. And Losing a loved one is very
difficult but i have to move on in life at some point i guess. I have a little
daughter called Esther and she's all i have got in this whole world, i love her so
much.

Can i ask why a smart, educated and beautiful woman like you is still single?

Working in yemen is not an easy job as we see dead bodies and displaced women and
children suffering .

My days there is probably how you must have imagined... being on duty almost 24/7
cause anything can happen any minute.. I can't really say that the peace keeping
process is a success cause it's more like a war zone here because the al-Qaeda
never stop cause some of them believe if they die and kill many people in war,
Allah would accept their soul.

When am retired, i intend to go in to property management or run a private hospital

so am not idle.... About Esther ....I write her always cause she is all i have and
that is also one of the reasons i want to retire soon too.

Esther so she is in a boarding school for now and all we have is each other too...

Hello honey and how was your day? My day was not so good as we lost one of our
patients who was pregnant due to complications and you know we don't have all the
facilities.
Here for an emergency. There were around 25 pregnant women in our camp and today
around 4 women gave birth, 3 gave birth successfully and we lost one of them.
Although I feel very bad, we were able to save the baby since she is currently in
our intensive care unit and she is doing very well. I just want to tell you that I

supplied with more relief materials by the United Nation like medical supplies ,
food, toiletries, cloth and other vital things we need here. The camp here
increases daily with more
internally displaced person and that means more work for us here too. The Taliban's
