Bulletin # 10484
Date: 03/07/19
Subject: Intelligent Yield Control, User Interface Improvements (Dealer Only)
Service Communication: 232
Supersedes Bulletin #10484 (11/19/18) Revised to reflect current information and to add bizhub 808/958 information
This bulletin addresses Intelligent Yield Control and improvements to the user interface functions to more effectively
determine consumable life, decrease confusion for customers while at the operation panel of the devices, and announce the
availability of kits components for more economical replacement of items related to image transfer.
Enabling Intelligent Yield Control requires MFP firmware at version G00-G3 or later, and engine dipswitches and software
switches set correctly. Intelligent Yield Control can be disabled to revert to Standard Yield Control by changing the switches
back.
Intelligent Yield Control for “7” and “8” Series
Replacement Timing
This function analyzes the usage level of PM parts on the basis of quantitative data and determines the best replacement
timing, depending upon machine usage factors. This works with function version 3.2 or later.
Suppression of PM Item Warnings
This function disables life warnings for the following PM parts:
• Imaging unit • Image transfer belt unit • Ozone filter
• Drum • Fusing unit • Toner filter
• Developer • Transfer roller unit
Intermediate Image Transfer Kit Change
The Intermediate Image Transfer kit is now available as four separate items. These parts can now be obtained and replaced
separately based on usage, instead of replacing all of the components at the same time:
• Intermediate Image Transfer unit • Ozone Filter
• 2nd Image Transfer Roller unit • Toner Filter

• Displays a message to show users how to remove a jam.
• Shows how to place originals or paper correctly to minimize future jams.
