I am writing to express my keen interest in enrolling in the Bachelor's in Early Childhood
Education at your esteemed institution; the Ikon Institute of Australia. As an aspiring educator
from Nepal, a country with a rich cultural heritage and growing emphasis on education, I look
forward to joining and contributing to the field of early childhood education and assisting in
laying a solid foundation for the education and livelihood background of the young learners in
Nepal and beyond.
My educational journey is characterized by the attainment of a Diploma of Leadership and
Management and the Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management. The educational level
attainment has incorporated me with important skills in leadership, organizational acumen, and a
strong work ethic. Especially regarding my passion for nurturing young minds, I believe the
skills attained in my education, as well as those I aspire to achieve in the course, will be integral
in teaching while setting a good learning experience. I believe it shall help me comprehend the
holistic approach of learning better, which involves integrating theories with practice teaching
sessions and hands-on experience for diversifying the children’s learning experience.
Australia is a great choice because it’s known for its excellence and quality in education and
childcare ranking among the top globally, a multicultural environment, and the reliance on
practical learning; which are core factors that attracted me to this wonderful nation. I believe that
desiring to acquire an education in Australia is a great platform to comprehend the global
perspective of learning, exposure to different teaching methodologies, and a great platform to
network with fellow learners from all over the globe.
I especially chose Early Childhood Education for two reasons:
- Passion; early childhood education is the base of lifelong learning. Considering how
this is important in the life of a child, I am highly passionate about developing a nurturing
environment where the children get to learn, explore, and develop skills that will positively
impact their future lives.
- ACEQA Recognition; studying the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education program is
recognized by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA). This
shows me that the education offered through the course is of the best standards and I’m excited
to join a body aligning with such high standards in the industry requirements.
I understand the course requires one to go through 32 subjects that entail the professional
experience placement. The depth has rigor and depth in terms of the coursework, practical
training, and reflective learning and I’m highly dedicated to gaining the skills that are set for
offering, considering the role the knowledge will play in the lives of children. Additionally, I am
excited to participate in activities set toward the attainment of the coursework like discussions
and collaborative projects.
The reason for choosing this institution is because the faculty has a reputation for academic
excellence. This is especially because the members of the faculty are experienced, and
committed as well to the success of the students, which resonates with my goals. Further, the
institution uses a blend of on-campus and remote learning that is great for comprehensive
learning of early childhood education. There is also the emphasis on the workplace experience
for the learners that makes it possible for the learners to have practical application for what they
have learned.
The economic situation of my family in Nepal is modest but stable. We realize the importance of
education and have saved diligently to support my learning. I am to give my best in my
educational journey and make use of the available scholarships and any part-time work
opportunities if they are available. Considering the integral role that education has helped me
achieve, my dream is to lay a strong foundation for other children as well, that will assist them to
ultimately reach a great potential in life both educational and in critical thinking skills.
The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education program will be beneficial because it will develop
my teaching skills, and abilities to design curriculums and manage classrooms. Further, the
opportunity will enrich the perspective that I have now regarding teaching since I’ll get to be
immersed in different cultures, teaching philosophies, and innovative teaching practices that will
further enrich my perspective when it comes to teaching. Finally, after finishing my education, I
aim to come back to Nepal and use the global skills that I gained to come and contribute to the
early education sector, enhance inclusive learning, and boost the quality of education. I’ll have
garnered some of the best skills that exist in the world today, and using that skills for the benefit
of young learners will be a great privilege and honour.
I enjoy volunteering with young children, believe in continuous learning and I’m an avid reader.
I am excited to begin the educational journey that shall assist me to contribute back to my
society.
