Enquadramento histórico
Em pleno século XXI, esperava-se que a guerra já não fizesse parte das
relações entre os Homens. Porém, o dealbar deste novo período voltou a trazer
algumas das imagens mais tenebrosas do passado, assistindo-se a uma
escalada de conflitos um pouco por todo o mundo. O grupo norte-americano
30 Seconds to Mars procurou chamar a atenção para esse facto fazendo uma
canção sobre a guerra para apelar à paz. Em entrevista a vários meios de
comunicação, o vocalista provocava os ouvintes ao dizer que os conflitos
parecem inevitáveis, mas serão uma bênção se a Humanidade tirar deles
alguma lição.
