BIO-RED and the proofs of its efficiency

The presentation contains:-

 general points about SOM and SMOs
university studies about BIO-GOLD
independent research studies,
 laboratory analysis results, and
 testimonies of users who have been applying
an innovative product like BIO-red to their soil
Introduction

Soil is a living community composed of MOs

MOs are microscopic life living in the soil:-
do the house cleaning job, and
manufacture very useful bio-products
decompose OM and produce enzymes
 help plants to assimilate macro- and micro-
nutrients from the soil
MOs and Soil Treatment

MOs are always present in the soil; however,

constantly reduced due to over usage of chemicals
So how can we restored the ppln of MOs??

 can be restored by using microbial ‘inoculants’

-a sure and natural means to increase useful
MOs in the soil and
 Then to restore soils natural balance
 now a days, Biotechnology reproduces MOs
at a faster rate
Cont…
Organix international has advanced
biotechnology manufacturing plant

 useful species of MOs are grown under

controlled condition from original ‘seed cultures’
-----------------called BIO-red
Introducing BIO-red

BIO-RED™ :-
is a concentrated liquid microbiological soil
inoculant that contains free-living soil microbes
-(Active live MOs : Azotobacter vinelandi 12.0%,
Clostridium pasteurianum 14.0%, Lactobacillus
acidophilus 12%)

provides aerobic and anaerobic living bacteria

also contains N-fixing bacteria with the ability to
fix atm. N
Cont…

BIO-Red (a cost effective organic product):-

100% natural organic liquid concentrate i.e.
non-toxic,
non-pathogenic and
environmentally safe
improves the soil health
plants grow healthy and produce higher yields
Released nutrients slowly and naturally according
to nature's blueprint,
allowing gradual uptake throughout the growing
season
Advantages of BIO-red

I- BIO-red Increase OM in the Soil

 Healthy and fertile soil is a mixture of water ,air, minerals, and OM
OM in the soil has several benefits:
improve the Soil Structure Aggregation
restore the natural balance of the soil; and
 also help plants to increase uptake of nutrients
Erosion reduced
 Increase water-Holding Capacity
Continuous nutrient Supply
Plant Disease Prevention
II- BIO-Red Facilitates Plant Roots Development
responsible for the uptake of water and nutrients,
and critical for plant survival
Cont…

III- Increases Soil Moisture

it is hydrolytic
IV- Improves Fiberization
Fibber :-source of food and warmth for the bacteria, insects
and worms,
each of which performs its own specific tasks
 Fibber :-regulate the soil's moisture
reservoir in the lower soil zones
V- Balances the Soil pH
When pH of the soil is balanced:-
• Nitrate N and P will be available to plants
• N- fixing bacteria can best fix atm.N
Most cops grow better in soils with in 5.8 - 6.5 pH ranges

Under acidic conditions Under alkaline conditions

– many of the soil minerals
dissolve and increase the
• Solubility of soil
conc. of metals to toxic levels minerals decreases….
– P will be less available • Deficiencies of Fe, Mn,
– Ca and/or Mg may be
deficient
Zn, Cu B and P occurs
 Plants can not utilize N,P k and • High level of Ca may
other nuts they need inhibit the uptake of K
 ppln of SMOs changes and
and Mg
reduced due to Al and Mn toxicity
Bio red and soil pH
Therefore, too high or too low soil pH, will tied up nutrients
and then unavailable to plants

 BIORed has a good buffering capacity

• balances soil pH so nutrients are readily available to
growing plants
However, will raise an acidic pH more rapidly than
it will lower a basic pH
-reducing the LR significantly
Lab report of the Texas University laboratory soil analysis of the Eastland
System County Texas field

Both tables indicate the importance of a pH change in the increased recovery

percentage of each of the nutrients

With the soil pH changing from 5.0 to 6.4 on the field,

 one can estimate the soil recovery rate to move :-
 N- from 38% to > 63%,
 P- from 10% to >15%, and
 K- from 30% to = 60%.

Bio red raised the soil pH from
5.0 to 5.7 in 180 days,
5.0 to 6.4 in 330 days ,
in the same time increased the level of nutrients (N. P,
and K) in the soil
The yield from the appln of BR is organic

The IU,EIRA and EABC research result on
average indicated that
Application of 2.5L ha-1 Bio red raised the soil:-
– pH from 4.65 to 5.03 in one season,
– OC from 1.27 to 1.54
– Soil N from 0.145 to 0.289
– Soil P from 5.92 to 7.94
– CEC from 15.08 to 17.61
Application of 2.5L ha-1 BR with:-
- 0 kg ha-1 N increased the yield from 1.26 t ha-1 to 5.27 t

Testimonials from some satisfied users
• By applying Bio red :-
Tomas k. Virginia
– grapes yield by 35%.....

David S:-Tomson Texas

– Wheat, beans and corn on average increased yield by 32% …

– plants were drake green, seems healthier, had less disease
problems, Balance pH etc
There is a huge gap between actual and potential yield in SSA
.

Fig..The yield gap and limitations that cause in SSA

 Chemical Fertilizers can increase the productivity of
many crops
Can chemical fertilizers Fill the yield gap sustainably???
 Excessive use of agro-chemical fertilizers:-
poses potential risks to soil quality
pollute water bodies and atmosphere
Increase plant DISEASE and affect SMOs
Adversely affect soil pH and make acidic

 How can we develop sustainable agriculture and

then Fill the yield gap in Ethiopia?

Frequently Asked Questions:
• What will BIORed do for soil pH?
– If soil pH is too high or too low, nutrients will be tied up and unavailable to plants. BIORed
balances soil pH so nutrients are readily available to growing plants.
• What is the best way to apply BIORed?
– Can be applied prior to planting , during tillage , during planting or after the plants are
growing
• Should soil be tilled before applying BIORed?
– Tillage isn’t absolutely necessary, but lightly tilled soil will increase exposed surface area,
when BIORed is applied, the microorganisms will disperse and begin to improve the soil
while fixing Nitrogen for plant uptake.
• Can BIORed be applied after the crop has started?
– Yes. BIORed can be applied as a side dress after the crop is growing. If BIORed was used
before planting, an additional 5 gallons of activated product may be applied during the
growing season.
• What happens after repeated use of BIORed?
– BIORed increases organic matter over time. The richness and vitality of the soil will be
evident through better filth and aeration. Clodding and crusting will be reduced and the
soil’s pH will be brought into balance for maximum crop growth. Soil borne disease and
insect pressure may be reduced.
Frequently Asked Questions:
• What beneficial side effects occur with BIORed?
– In many cases a crop grown with BIORed will mature earlier because nutrients are more
readily available. The flavor and shelf life of vegetables will improve because of the
balance of nutrients that BIORed microorganisms release due to their activity in the
soil.
• Can BIORed be mixed with herbicides and pesticides?
– BIORed can be safely mixed with most herbicides and pesticides. Always follow label
instructions for best results.
• Will BIORed detoxify soil?
– Using BIORed helps eliminate toxic runoff and aids in the decomposition of herbicides,
which helps prevent chemicals from accumulating in the soil.
• What does BIORed do for soil filth?
– BIORed improves soil tilth and contributes to the buffering capacity of the soil. It also
improves water-holding capacity and increases the availability of nutrients.
• Is BIORed safe for organic farming?
– Yes. BIORed has been certified organic by JAS, USDA NOP, and EU.
