1
Introduction

⚫ Electric E-bikes are ideal for daily commuting, such as trips to nearby gyms, stores, and schools.
This is where the electric E-bike made its debut. By utilizing a motor, battery, and throttle type, we
can travel a greater distance than with a regular, conventional. Combine those parts to create an
electric E-bike.
⚫ electric E-bikes can be operated only with a motor. Electric E-bikes are becoming more popular due
to their convenient mode of transportation.
⚫ Most nations, including China, the United States, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Japan, use electric
E-bikes for daily transportation.

2
Introduction

⚫ Many countries are moving to electric vehicles for daily transportation due to the scarcity of fossil
fuels and the pollution that internal combustion engines emit.
⚫ Nevertheless, the cost of an electric car is more than that of a normal internal combustion engine car.
At this moment, people start using electric E-Bike on a regular basis.
⚫ An electric E-Bike is the best option for shorter daily rides. Although we can drive electric cars to
work, there is a greater chance that we may be stuck in traffic.
⚫ We can use electric E-Bike to avoid this.

3
Objectives

1.There are three different types of throttle system in electric bicycle.

➢ Thumb throttle
➢ Full twist throttle
➢ Half-twist throttle
2. How the electric bikes are performed?
3.What is the benefit by installing controller cooling system?

5
Component Design

Parts used:

➢ Controller
➢ Exhaust Fan
➢ Thermostat Module
➢ Temperature Sensor
➢ Cooling System
Software Used

⚫ The software we used for designing the cooling system is “Solid works” .

⚫ The Solid Works brand was founded as Winchester Design Systems by Massachusetts Institute

of Technology graduate Jon Hirschtick on December 30, 1993.

⚫ Solid Works released its first product, SolidWorks 95, on November 1, 1995. Within two months,

it established a new benchmark for ease of use. Since then, the 3D CAD product, now known as
SolidWorks, has become the flagship product for the SolidWorks brand.

⚫ We selected Solid Works due to its ease of use and simplicity in designing the things we need to.

What makes Solid Works unique is its ability to analyze the designs we create.

7
Further Improvement

⚫ Increasing the surface area of cooling fins on heat sinks can improve heat dissipation.

Utilizing fins with optimized geometry and spacing can enhance airflow and heat transfer.
⚫ Integrating temperature sensors with automated control systems can enable real-time

monitoring of controller temperatures. This allows for dynamic adjustments to cooling

mechanisms based on heat levels, ensuring optimal performance and preventing overheating.
⚫ Optimizing the design of the controller enclosure for better airflow can enhance cooling

efficiency. Incorporating vents, ducts, or strategic placement of components within the

enclosure can facilitate airflow and reduce hotspots.
⚫ Minimizing power consumption and optimizing the efficiency of electronic components can

reduce the amount of heat generated, thereby easing the load on the cooling system.
⚫ Establishing a maintenance schedule to clean dust and debris from cooling components can

prevent airflow obstructions and maintain optimal cooling performance over time.
