Chapter 1

The story of Infinite Mage begins with the setting of a quiet night, and then the sound of a baby crying
breaks the silence of the night. The cry came from one of the courtyards in a small hut in the middle of
the forest around which many traps had been installed to keep out thieves or wild animals. Then there
was a man who wondered if he hadn't heard wrong, because it didn't make sense that a baby would
suddenly cry in the middle of the forest at this time of night. The man picked up an axe that was
displayed in his house and immediately checked where the baby's voice was coming from. The man's
name was Vincent, and in his mind, Vincent suspected that it was an intruder, and he said that the
intruder had chosen the wrong house, because the house he had looted was the house of a hunter.
Holding an axe in his hand, the burly man then tried to check around his house. at that time he thought
that the intruder was not an ordinary intruder, because he thought that the intruder could pass through
the various traps he had prepared. But he didn't think the intruder would be able to fool his ears
because he was a hunter after all.

Upon closer inspection, it turned out that the voice was coming from a barn. Vincent intended to
ambush the intruder by breaking down the barn door suddenly. But when he managed to get inside the
barn, he was surprised to find that there was no one there. Vincent thought that ever since he found out
that he and his wife could not have children, he had often heard strange noises. But this time he didn't
hear any strange noises, because when he checked his surroundings, he was surprised to find a baby boy
in front of him. Vincent took the baby boy in his arms and checked whether the baby was alive or not.
And after confirming that the baby was still alive, Vincent immediately hugged the baby with great
affection. But at this moment Vincent's wife Olina suddenly came and asked about the noise around the
house, making Vincent a little surprised. But when she saw her husband holding the baby, Olina asked
about where her husband found the baby. Confused about what answer he should give, Vincent
suddenly said that he felt that this baby was their child.

That was when something magical happened, when he opened his eyes and waved his hand, a sudden
wind blew in, gathering the clouds. Soon after, rain started pouring from those clouds. The dry land
became lush, and the villagers sang songs of happiness. He also protected the village from dangers that
threatened it. And with his mystical powers, peace came to the village, and people were no longer thirsty
or hungry. But he didn’t stop researching for the people of the village. The people considered his abilities
to be magical, and so they called him Mage. It was a fragment of a story from a book read by a blond boy
under the trees, and that boy was Arian Shirone, the boy found by Arian Vincent 12 years ago.

Vincent seemed very fond of Shirone as he held and praised his adorable son. Since Vincent had finished
collecting wood, he took Shirone home to eat. While being carried by her father, Shirone asked how one
could use Magic, hearing this Vincent wondered about what Magic was. In his mind, Vincent wondered if
Magic was the type of book he gave his son. Then while walking home, Vincent explained to Shirone that
he didn't know much about Magic, according to Vincent, Magic was a power where someone could
defeat a bear with just one attack and was able to cut trees with just one swing of an axe. But after
saying that, there were some children who saw Vincent and Shirone, and they were talking about
Shirone who always read books even when they were playing together. They wondered about the big
book that Shirone was carrying and questioned whether Shirone could actually read the book, they also
said that Shirone was very small and weak, unlike his father who was big and strong, and people said
that Shirone was a child who was picked up from somewhere. They thought that maybe Shirone was
abandoned because he was a strange child. Hearing that made Vincent very angry but he still tried to
hold back his anger, and in his mind he said, how dare they say that about my son. Then Vincent looked
at Shirone who was smiling happily, then Vincent said that he would take him to town to buy some of his
favorite fruit because Shirone had helped him with his work today. Shirone was very happy with his
father's invitation and couldn't wait to get to town. At that moment Vincent said in his mind that he
apologized for not being a good father to Shirone. And no matter what anyone said, Shirone was his son
after all.

The scene then moves to a suburb in the kingdom of Thormia called Creas. While looking around the
city, Shirone praised the beauty of the city because he had never been to the city before. There were
many adults and children passing by in clothing stores, to the food market, everyone looked happy. Later,
because Vincent had business elsewhere, he left Shirone to wait for him at Martin's grandfather's shop
until his business was finished. Vincent also warned Shirone not to go into deserted alleys alone or
disturb the nobles with a smile. Shirone said that his father did not need to worry about it, and then it
was seen that Vincent went somewhere in his horse-drawn carriage. After that, Shirone is seen writing
the price of fruit on a wooden board, then he receives praise from Grandpa Martin because Shirone can
write and Grandpa Martin says that Shirone doesn't need to bother helping him. Shirone says it won't be
a problem because he just wants to help. In his mind Grandpa Martin thought that Shirone was already
that smart despite his young age, in contrast to his son who could only make trouble at an age like
Shirone. Then suddenly Shirone asked his grandfather about whether his grandfather knew about Magic.
At that time Grandpa Martin said that he didn't know much about Magic, but he pointed to a building
and said that in that place there was a lot of information about Magic. After hearing the advice from
Grandpa Martin, Shirone immediately rushed to that place, at that time Grandpa Martin told Shirone to
come back immediately after finishing looking for something from there, and Shirone said that he would
come back soon. Meanwhile, Grandpa Martin muttered that he often read fairy tales while opening
Shirone's book. But he was then very surprised when he saw the contents in the book, thinking that
what Shirone meant was how to use magic.

Then the scene moves to the bookstore that Grandpa Martin said earlier. When Shirone wanted to take
one of the books from the shelf, suddenly there was a woman who said, Why are you carelessly taking
the book with your dirty hands, responding to the woman's words then Shirone said what I can't peek at
the contents of the book, then the woman said that expensive books were not intended for commoners,
and also said that the book was not the same as books sold in other cheap stores. The woman also
continued to make fun of Shirone by saying that she wouldn't let Shirone dirty the book and wouldn't
lower the price. It made Shirone wonder where his father could get his books from all this time. then it
was seen that an old man came into the shop and asked about the book he ordered earlier, it turned out
that the man was the butler, and the woman told the butler that the book he ordered was available.
when looking at the book Shirone thought that all the books looked the same and there was not much
he could understand. But on the way out of the shop, Shirone's eyes were suddenly distracted when he
saw a man carrying several books in his hands. Without thinking, Shirone then followed the man and
wondered if the man was a nobleman, as he was curious about where the man was carrying the books.
But beyond his expectations, it turned out that the man threw the books in the corner of the building.
Seeing this made Shirone quite surprised by what the man did to the book, especially when considering
the very expensive price of the book. In this situation Shirone picked up one of the books and thought
that his father might have picked it up in the trash. Then while looking at the nobles, he thought about
how he was different from the nobles. Then he remembered his father's words about not bothering the
nobles, and at that moment he began to think about why the nobles could do everything and he could
not.

When Shirone was walking suddenly a security guard stopped him and the guard said, a kid like Shirone
shouldn't be hanging around here. The officer explained that only nobles were allowed to enter the gate.
The officer also asked where Shirone's parents were and where he was from, and in a panic Shirone said
he was from the neighborhood. But another officer said that Shirone looked quite suspicious because
according to the officer Shirone did not look like a Creas city resident, the officer also said that maybe
Shirone was a child from the Orphanage or a spy for the Bandits. The officer pulled Shirone's shirt to
come with him, but suddenly Shirone managed to get his shirt off and disappeared somewhere. After
the guard left to look for him, it turned out that Shirone had managed to hide behind the trees and
flowers. At that moment he felt relieved because he managed to escape from the officer's pursuit, while
looking at his dirty clothes, Shirone said that surely his father would scold him if he knew his clothes
were dirty. Then he saw his shoes that had fallen off as a result of trying to escape earlier and was about
to pick them up. It was while wearing these shoes that he suddenly heard a conversation from behind
the wall. It turned out that he heard a conversation about Magic and in the conversation it sounded that
someone wanted to see the Principal bring out his fireball magic. Hearing that made Shirone quite
surprised and thought that what was meant was probably magic, and maybe the place behind this wall
was the Academy of Magic. Then Shirone continued to eavesdrop on the people's conversation from
behind the wall. At that time it was heard that the principal told his students that using fire magic at the
Academy was quite dangerous, but he said that if they managed to answer his questions, then he would
show some of the magic techniques they had. It seemed that Shirone was quite surprised to hear what
they said from behind the wall.

Then it was heard that the headmaster asked his students what was most important in learning magic,
and their answers varied. Some said knowledge, some said hard work, and some said that money was
also needed. They also said that a wizard should study magic for the rest of their lives. After hearing the
various answers from his students the principal said that none of the answers were correct, then the
principal said that the most important talent in magic was Insight. It could be seen that Shirone
continued to listen to the conversation with a serious and enthusiastic face. Then the students asked the
principal about the meaning of Insight, and the principal asked if they knew the result of one plus one,
which of course was answered confidently by them that the answer was 2. After hearing the answers
from his students the principal asked if anyone could explain why the result could be two, and
immediately they were confused. Then the principal explained that the strange feeling they felt was
called Insight, the principal explained that in ancient times people did not know the result of one plus
one and he also said that at that time the Scholars worked hard to prove it. But despite the lack of
concrete and clear evidence, everyone can figure out that the answer to one plus one is two. According
to the principal, it was a law that had always existed in this world and that's why they didn't need to
learn it in order to accept the concept. The principal also said that magic was a law that had been in
place since the beginning because it could be received and felt through Insight, hence insight was more
accurate than knowledge and helped faster than hard work. Then one of his students asked if it could
make them a genius, hearing that the principal said that one must continue to hone their talents so that
they would become a genius wizard.
Then in his mind Shirone muttered the word witch, and wondered if the opportunity to become a witch
like that would come to him. Suddenly the principal said, it's really the boy standing behind the wall, I

he did not expect that the principal could realize his existence behind the wall. In this situation there
were only 2 options available to Shirone, the first was to run, and the second was to answer the
principal's question. At that time he didn't know what they would do to him considering his father's
warning not to approach the nobles before, but suddenly he received a thought that if he didn't climb
the wall he would regret it forever. After that Shirone began to climb the wall, and when he looked inside
he was very surprised that the place was very beautiful with a vast expanse of green grass.

Chapter 2

It seemed that there was an old man and a few small children around Shirone's age there, and then the
headmaster said, did you come to see this old man. It turned out that the old man was the head of the
Alpheas magic academy and had the title of a 4th level official wizard named Myrhe Alpheas. Hearing

interested in what he said, and Shirone innocently said that he wanted to see magic. Hearing Shirone's
words, the principal asked if it was true that Shirone had never seen Magic before. then Shirone
explained that he knew magic from the books he read and he had never seen it in person. Hearing those
words the students said that Shirone was a liar because they thought that commoners could not read
books, then while bowing his head Shirone said, whatever it doesn't matter please show me, then
laughing the principal said that it was not difficult at all and he would show one of the chants that could
create wind, after hearing that the students looked very enthusiastic.

It wasn't long before Shirone wondered where the huge wind had come from all of a sudden, and at that
very moment they were all swept up by it and flew upwards together. They screamed with excitement
when they were at the top, but soon the wind stopped and Shirone was quite surprised to find that he
was about to fall down. But just as he was about to touch the ground, Shirone suddenly stopped and
floated 1 meter above the ground. Then the principal smiled and said, that's called magic. Shirone who
was surprised by that then asked what magic was, Shirone said even though he didn't understand he still
asked the principal to explain it. Hearing these words from Shirone made the students think and say that

speak like that to the principal. Shiron was silent waiting for the principal's explanation about magic, and
then the principal said that he would give a slightly complicated explanation. The principal explained that

the book, Shirone confidently said that he knew it after seeing the similarities of all the books. Shirone

among the irrational. The principal smiled thinking that Shirone was an interesting child. Then suddenly
Shirone asked the principal about what he had to do in order to learn magic, when hearing that the

of Creas was seen after the incident. Moving to a mansion owned by a first-class nobleman named the

child. Then a man asked Amy why she came home early that day, and he also asked if Amy ran away from
school again. The man was Karmis Shakora, the leader of the Karmis family. After hearing her father's
words, Amy said that she was bored with her studies because nothing could interest her. then her father
said when Amy could become more mature. He also added that although Amy was a genius, if she

his axe towards the point he had seen in spirit zone mode, the tree was destroyed with just one strike
towards the vital point. After realizing that the tree he cut down was destroyed with just one swing of
the axe, he felt that it was magic like his father had said some time before.

On the other hand, Vincent accidentally saw the incident from behind the tree and was very surprised by
what Shirone did at that time. then Vincent said what I just saw, isn't that Thunder Strike, after that
Vincent continued to observe what Shirone did that day. then while cutting the tree he cut down in his
mind Shirone said that it was the first time he succeeded after 100 attempts. Vincent was touched when
