5W 1 H 疑問詞
疑 問詞 共分 七種 :
1. What (什 麼 )用 來詢 問事 物, 後面 可加 上名 詞, 以縮 小詢 問範 圍。
ex. What time do you usually get up? (你 通常幾點 起床?)
What tool did you use to fix the bike? (你用什麼工具 修 理那腳踏 車 ?)
2. Who (誰 )用 來 詢問 人。
ex. Who is the girl next to Danny? (Danny 旁 邊 那女孩 是誰?)
Who let the dog out? (誰放那隻 狗出 來的?)
3. Where (哪 裡 )用 來 詢問 地點 、場 所。
ex. Where is Ann? (Ann 在哪裡?)
Where are you going? (你要去哪 裡?)
4. When (何 時 )用 來詢 問時 間。
ex. When does the school begin? (學校 何 時開學?)
When will she be here? (她什麼時 候 會來?)
5. Why (為 什 麼 )用來 詢問 原因 、理 由。
ex. Why are the girls so noisy? (那些 女 生怎麼這 麼吵?)
Why are you late? (你為什麼遲到?)
6. Which (哪 一 個 )用 來詢 問特 定範 圍的 某ㄧ 對象 。
ex. Which sport do you like? (你喜歡 哪 種運動?)
Which did you buy, coffee or black tea? (你買了哪一 個 ,咖啡還 是紅茶 ?)
7. How (如何 )用來詢 問情 況、 方式 。
ex. How do you go to school? (你怎麼 去 上學?)
How is the weather? (天氣如何?)
How are you doing? (你好嗎?)

how 常接形 容詞, 用來詢問 各種形 容 詞的程度 。
how many +可數 名 詞 → 問 可數名 詞 的數
how much + 不可 數 名詞 → 問不可 數 名詞的量
how much → 問 多 少錢=how many dollars
how tall → 問身 高
how old → 問年 齡
how often → 問 事 情發生的 頻率
how long → 問 時間 的長久
how soon → 問 時間 多快
how far → 問距 離 多遠
how fast → 問速 度 多快

最常讓學生頭痛的題目中,叫做「造原問句」。事實上,只要注意看題目句子中,畫線的是
什麼地方,再依 Page 2 中的使用時機對照表,不難的啦。
例:(請注意看畫線部分和句末提示)
1. He's under the tree.
解答→ Where is he?
(說明:因題目句的畫線部分是 under the tree,「在樹下」是 He 所在的「地點」,所以
本句的原問句是問「他在哪裡?」)
2. She's John's student. (Jean)
解答→ Who is Jean?
(說明:因題目句的畫線部分是 John's student,「John 的學生」是 She 和 John 的
「身份」,且句末有 Jean 提示字,所以本句的原問句是問「Jean 是誰?」)
3. It's a chair.
解答→ What is it/that/this?
(說明:因題目句的畫線部分是 a chair,「椅子」是 「事物」,且原問句的主詞有可能
是 this/that/it 等,所以本句的原問句是問「它 / 這 / 那是什麼?」)
4. Jack is her brother.
解答→ Who is her brother?
(說明:因題目句的畫線部分是 Jack,「Jack」是 「人名」,所以本句的原問句是問
「誰是她的哥哥?」)
5. He's fine, thanks. (your father)
解答→ How is your father?
(說明:因題目句的畫線部分是 fine,「安好」是 「健康狀況」,且句末有 your father
提示字,所以本句的原問句是問「你爸爸身體好嗎?」)

**在學過現在進行式後,若再加上疑問詞的使用,這種「造原問句」的試題就會變得很複
雜:
1. He is reading a comic book in the living room. (Ted)
解答→ What is Ted reading in the living room?
(說明:因題目句的畫線部分是 a comic book,「漫畫書」是 「事物」,所以本句的原
問句是問「Ted 正在客廳裡看什麼?」)
2. He is reading a comic book in the living room. (Ted)
解答→ What is Ted doing in the living room?
(說明:和上句不同的是,題目句的畫線部分不但有 a comic book,還包含了 reading
「動作」在內,而「看漫畫」是 「一個動作」,所以本句的原問句是問「Ted 正在客廳裡
做什麼(動作)呢?」)
3. Ted is reading a comic book in the living room.
解答→ Who is reading a comic book in the living room?
(說明:因題目句的畫線部分是 Ted, 「Ted」是 「人」,所以本句的原問句是問「誰
正在客廳裡看漫畫?」)
4. He is reading a comic book in the living room. (Ted)
解答→ Where is Ted reading a comic book?
(說明:因題目句的畫線部分是 in the living room,「在客廳」是 「地方」,所以本句的
原問句是問「Ted 正在哪裡看漫畫?」)
上述的四個題目句,基本上是一樣的,只因為畫線部分不同,所造成的答案就會有不同

上述的疑問句都是含有「疑問詞」(how, what, who, where),但有的疑問句並沒有「疑問
詞」
1. Jackie: Are you a student?
Henry: Yes, I am.
2. Gordon: Is there a clock on the wall?
Eric: Yes, there is.
3. Luke: Is your bag on the box?
Paul: No, it isn't. It's in my desk.
4. Thomas: Are there two cats under the tree?
Martin: No, there aren't. There're two dogs there.
5. Norman: Can you play basketball?(你會打籃球嗎?)
Victor: No, I can't play basketball. But I can play baseball.(不,我不會,但我會打棒球。)
