Magill Classroom Attendance and Participation Rules

1. Punctuality:

o Students must arrive on time for each class session.

o If a student arrives more than 15 minutes after the class has started, they will be
marked as absent.

2. Attendance:

o Students are expected to stay for the entire duration of the class.

o If a student leaves the class more than 15 minutes before the scheduled end time, they
will be marked as absent.

3. Participation:

o Active participation in class activities is encouraged and expected.

o Respectful and courteous behaviour towards classmates and instructors is mandatory.

4. Preparation:

o Students should come prepared for class, having completed any assigned homework
or readings.

o Bringing necessary materials, such as textbooks, notebooks, and writing utensils, is


required.

5. Classroom Conduct:

o Mobile phones and other electronic devices should be silenced and used only for
educational purposes as directed by the instructor.

o Eating is not allowed in the classroom. Students may have drinks in spill-proof
containers.

6. Absence Policy:

o In the event of an unavoidable absence, students should inform the instructor in


advance whenever possible.

o Repeated absences, even if partially attended, may affect the student's progress and
standing in the course.

By adhering to these rules, students will create a positive and effective learning environment for
themselves and their peers.
