As for the ethics and accountability, it can be concluded that these principles are the
guiding values for people in order to create the basis of trust and honesty both in private and
working spheres. In its broadest definition, ethics is asking and finding out for ourselves why
we act the way we do and then stand up for the right way. It’s about being authentic even when
you are enticed or you face troubles and risks. Staying ethical is always crucial when
performing as a public servant. It means delivering services at the highest ethical standard and
treating everyone equally, especially through actions that obey the moral rule of law. This
adherence to ethical conduct is necessary to build and maintain trust necessary between the
citizens and the public entities.
Likewise, accountability is a critical factor in ensuring integrity and that the reported
results are accurate. It encompasses not only being accountable for what one does, but being
accountable in every facet of life including being truthful and dependable. When people are
able to be responsible for their own behavior, they are also growing up and developing a sense
of responsibility towards themselves. They know the implications of their decisions and have
the ability to accept whatever the implications maybe, whether good or bad. Accountability is
one of the most significant pillars of good governance and a basic principle of a civil servant’s
professionalism – officials must answer for their choices.
Learning from the experience of managing bureaucracy in the Philippines and the
persistent problem of graft and corruption, it is clear that upholding of ethical standards and
compliance to accountably is imperative. They observed that there are structures such as the
Office of the Ombudsman, the Civil Service Commission, and the Commission on Audit;
however, systemic weaknesses and cultural practices influence corruption. This underscores
the necessity for changes which would lead to bureaucratic responsiveness to professional and
moral standards of integrity. The proposed measures regarding the increase of ethical standards
and accountability enhance the development of the Governance System that will concern the
Filipino people.
Ethics and accountability as concepts enrich students with a deep grasp of the moral
requirements of individuals and companies. It plays a role in enhancing the recognition of
ethical issues that people face and the importance of adherence to the principles of truthfulness,
transparency, and fairness in the decision-making process to a great extent. The implementation
of these principles is beneficial for an individual transformation and positively influences the
construction of a society that is free from distinguishing, selfish, and fake people.
In broader sense, the knowledge within the ethical and accountability studies will
enable the individuals to take the ethical viewpoints within the promotion of judgment and
appraisal of their actions. Ethical theories have to be studied and real life problems for which
solutions involve accountability have to be analysed in order to understand and develop
valuable insight and tools into understanding ethical practice in business. In addition,
emphasizing the importance of accountability in enhancing integrity of governance and
criminalizing corruption motivations notion for Zimbabwe is paramount. It is based on
