PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
So, it's finally happened - the Age of
Aquarius has finally dawned upon us.
Now what ?

I remember seeing the musical Hair in Toronto in

1969, and not thinking much more than - good
(somewhat scandalous) entertainment, and especially enjoying the song
the Dawning of the Age of Aquarius by the 5th Dimension. I never
thought that I would actually see it, or appreciate its significance.
It should be evident to most in this community that there are some
grand events coming together, and that perhaps we are approaching a
tipping point. Perhaps the light is about to overcome the dark ?
As we drift into the Mayan 6th day, we leave behind the 5th Night
(the roughest of the 6 night cycles) characterized by the beginning of
the “End of Manufactured Lack” and find ourselves in the 6th Day
when “Consciousness Surpasses Technology”. We then experience the
dawning of the Age of Aquarius (peace, love, harmony, understanding,
sympathy, trust) in February, followed by the Vernal Equinox (rebirth
renewal) in March with days (more light) getting longer. This is all
good news (especially after the terrible winter most of us had).
Speaking of The 5th Night, I recommend seeing the movie, Batman
- Dark Knight if you haven't already. Like so many good films it can be
viewed on more than one level. Released in the summer of 2008,
during the Mayan 5th Night it nicely characterizes the dark nature and
essence of the 5th Night, and actually helps, I think, to put things into
perspective, very graphically. That is if you need to be reminded.
I see some interesting and auspicious symbolism in all of this. Look
at the words associated with these events that seem to be building on
each other - consciousness, peace, love, harmony, understanding,
sympathy, trust, rebirth, renewal, light.
The Spring Equinox, is a time of action renewal and new
beginnings. An appropriate time to integrate these building concepts
and energies into our community and as well, our own individual lives.
Integration, appropriately, is the theme of this year’s spring conference
as well.
We are living in very interesting times.
On a “green” note, in the interests of saving on postage and paper,
you are invited to consider receiving your copy of the Quester / Journal

by e-mail in a pdf file. Please e-mail (either Serah
<sroer@xplornet.com> or Angela <alae@rocketmail.com>) to receive a
complimentary pdf copy of the Quester / Journal via e-mail. You may
then decide which format is better suited to your needs, and advise
(either Serah or Angela) to substitute the electronic pdf file for the
printed format via Canada Post. And, in keeping with the ever
accelerating Mayan calendar “time line” you will receive the Quester /
Journal the instant it is ready to go to print, several days in advance of
everyone else. Any questions? Please let us know.
I look forward to seeing you in Chilliwack at the Spring convention.

EDITORIAL
An interesting thing happens when I look to see what time it is on
any digital clock. I’ll see certain combinations of numbers on a
reoccurring basis such as 1:11, 2:22, 3:33, 4:44, 5:55, 7:11 and 11:11.
Perhaps this an increasingly common occurrence for many others. If
you are interested in this phenomena and would like more information,
I suggest that you visit the website: www.angelscribe.com/1111.html
A passage by D. Virtue reads, “Whenever you see the sequence 111 or
1111 show up, it is a great sign of a golden opportunity. Both sequences
mean that a ‘doorway’ has opened up in which your intentions and
goals will manifest extremely quickly. The Angels have taught me to
focus my thoughts and intentions whenever I see 111 or 1111, almost
like making a wish when a cake with candles is presented to you.”
This issue of The Quester journal features articles by presenters at
this year’s CSQ Spring Conference as well as many other contributors
to whom I am extremely grateful. I would like to thank all those who
gave their time and energy to the creation and distribution of this
journal. Enjoy the quest! Angela Espiritu

VIBRATIONAL KEYS FOR PERSONAL &
PLANETARY TRANSFORMATION
QUEST FOR THE HOLY GRAIL
~ FULFILLING THE SOULS PLAN
By Troi Leonard
All matter as we know it, is in a con-
stant, unceasing state of motion. At the
Atomic and Sub-Atomic levels, there is
no matter, only energy and forces. Ac-
cording to Einstein, energy cannot be
created or destroyed, only changed
from one state to another.
Helena Blavatsky, founder of the
Theosophical Movement, is quoted as
saying that…..SPACE IS AN ENTITY…..this implies that space itself
is a vast, possibly infinite field of vibratory “etheric” matter.
The search for the “Holy Grail”, is to find a Source of free, unlim-
ited energy. The Spaniards were seeking the “Fountain of Youth”, in
a mythical Golden City called EL Dorado. The Avalonian Tale of
Camelot and the Round Table with the Knights search for the Holy
Grail and the Ladies of the Lake and the Tibetan tale of a white island
city known as Shambala, are all symbolic reflections of the magical
sunk continent of Atlantis. According to the famous American “Trance
Medium”, Edgar Cayce, the scientist/priests of Atlantis had a source
of unlimited, free energy, a temple known as the “Temple Beautiful”,
within which the exact Science of the “Chakras”, and the Knowledge
& Wisdom of the “Tree of Life”, was gifted to the privileged few for
Regeneration and Rejuvenation. Abraham, Noah, and subsequent
Prophets were known to have lived many centuries.
This exacting Science is based on the Word of Creation, the AUM
and OM. Many people consider them as the same, yet they are dis-
tinctly different in application. The AUM is an expression of the trinity
of God, the Father, or Spirit, God, the Son/Daughter, the Soul of Man,
and God, the Holy Spirit, the mother (matter). The AUM contains all
things, words and expressions of matter. The Atlantians, all having
Clairvoyant Sight, were able to perceive with accuracy, which Vowels
and Consonants, Words and Phrases, toned with Rythmic Movement,
created the desired forms. Remnants of this power lies in the native
shaman to invoke the Rain, etc. The forms, the great magicians were

5 Spring 2009
able to create, boggles the imagination. Djwhal Khul, also known as
the Tibetan, says that the greatest architects of our time are com-
pared as children playing with building blocks. The story of Aladdin
and the magic lamp is behind these powers to invoke the Elemental
Spirits to do ones bidding. The downfall of that great civilization
was due to the unquenchable desire for more power and control.
The “OM” is the word of the Soul, and it holds the key to free us
from the world of matter. It has its origin in the Heart, representing
the Christ principle anchored within each of our Hearts….and is ex-
pressed in his words….you are either for me or against me….and what
good does it for you to gain the world, having lost your Soul. The
“OM”, chanted with understanding, brings in the Powers of the
Soul, supporting us in our worldly struggle, to be free from the Past,
the fears, addictions, dependencies, and many other obsessive habitual
patterns, we are constantly submerged in.
Our planet, the world “GAIA”, is experiencing a complete
“Fragmentation”, from intensive climate changes to depletion of the
Ozone Belt of Protection, to a breakdown of society, from economical
meltdown to violent conflicts and worldwide humanitarian crisis.
What are the true hidden causes behind these Global Challenges?
According to the Mayan Calendar, we are approaching the end
of TIME, for their calendar does not go beyond 2012. Please “Google”
Mayan Calendar-Ian Lungold, and you will be connected to the most
interesting views, regarding these ancient chroniclers of star cycles and
time. According to them, we are on schedule, at the right time and
place, in regards to our point of consciousness. I have a strong hunch
that no great fireworks will appear, no threatening Armageddon, no end
of the world. I believe that we are facing a transformation of con-
sciousness, from individual identification to unified awareness to-
wards “Oneness”.
Another important sign, is the change from the Age of PISCES,
the age of self-identification and individuality, ruled by the sixth
Ray of Devotion & Idealism, to the Age of Aquarius, the age of
Group Identification and Soul, inaugurated by the seventh Ray of
Ceremonial Order, also known as magic. The breakdown of the old
forms & belief systems etc., is simultaneously occurring with the
emerging new values.
There is a strong belief that we are being approached by a
“Superwave”, from deep space. Some have called it a Photon Particle
Wave, a light Wave of highly charged Electrical Energy, which ,
according to certain sources, every 300 000 years or so, cyclically
streams through our Solar System, and in the process, activates and

The Quester 6
energizes all of LIFE, for Electricity is Life, to a NEW & Higher
Frequency, or Rate of Vibration. This wave is not composed of third
dimensional matter, but of Forth to Seventh Level States of Etheric
Matter & Consciousness.
All Things and all Matter, every blade of Grass and grain of Sand,
have their own State of Inner Consciousness, which Unites us into
ONE COHESIVE WHOLE. What you do to another, you also do to
yourself, ….is in the LAW of GRAVITY…Cause and Effect. This
is the “Truth” that can set us free from suffering, from eternally repeat-
ing the same patterns. That was the message of the Avatar of LOVE,
demonstrated.
Deep within each of us, lies a most Powerful Force, known as the
“Kundalini Mother”. This mysterious force is Symbolized by the
two Serpents, as she spirals up along the feminine channel, the
“Pingala”, and the masculine, called the “Ida”. Where the two streams
meet, we have the Seven Chakras, the rotating “Wheels of Life”,
through which we both receive and transmit the energies and related
Qualities of our Nature. The central channel, called the
“Shushumna”, becomes fully activated, only after many lives and
“Lessons of Living”, have purified our personality and ego, suffi-
ciently, for readiness to “Be of Service” to the Soul.
This comes about by having been born, baptized by the waters of
purification, climbed the Mount of Transfiguration, stepped onto the
Cross of Life, having given ALL, and then Ascend into the Light, that
we are, becoming the “I Am That I Am”.
In ancient times, the wise ones of our race, initiated a process of
“Enforced Evolution”, whereby chosen candidates were given an op-
portunity for Self & Soul Development, that has since become known
as the Path of Discipleship, leading to “Initiation”. These Schools
became known as the “Mystery Temples”. The Masters of Wisdom
developed processes for every aspect of the Physical, Emotional &
Mental Self. Lemuria initiated “Hatha Yoga”, Atlantis, “Laya Yoga”,
the Yoga of the Chakras and “Opera”, as part of the Magic of Sound
Healing. More recently, the mysteries of “Orpheus”, the Oracles of
Greece & Rome, Chaldian Astrology, Plato & Socrates, the Sufi, Esse-
nes, Martial Arts, Kaballah, Zen & uncountable others, known and un-
known. Jesus and the Magdalene were known to have gone to Egypt
for their deeper training in preparation for ‘Initiation”. The Tibetans
were the ones who synthesized many of the required teachings, such as
the right use of the “Hum”, “OM”, and the “Silent Sound”, as tools
for “transformation.” This became known as the “Synthesis School”
of Indigo. Physical Disciplines, Emotional Work with Colors & Move-

7 Spring 2009
ment, Mental Development with Symbols and Mandalas, plus Har-
monic Toning are their Hallmark & Legacy.
In 1975, after much personal work on myself, including Yoga, Fast-
ing, Meditation, Dream Work, Reflexology, Iridology, and an ever
deepening study of the Esoteric Sciences through the written works of
Alice A. Bailey and the teachings of the Tibetan Master Djwhal
Khul, I found old friend and Master Teacher of the Harmonics of
Sound, Color & Vibration and applied the fundamental knowledge
based on the teachings outlined in the book of the same name for over
30 years. Many years of personal contact with William David, now
known as Elias De Mohan and his capacity as an Akashic Mediator,
accessing the “Book of Life”, opened the door to my past, clarified the
present, and pointed to the potential future, with unerring clarity & ac-
curacy. Within a very short time, I began to offer “Life & Soul Guid-
ance” & Sound/Color Healing Energy Flows sessions, became the Di-
rector of an Esoteric Philosophy School and New Age Publication in
Calgary, supported by my newly married partner and soul mate, Nat-
talia. In 1981, I began to travel as an international Teacher, Intuitive
Counselor and Spiritual Guide.
The true HOLY GRAIL is the SOUL ITSELF, the cup once
drunk of, forever quenches ones thirst. The Soul is the eternal youth,
the fountain of wisdom, joy, love and the truth that makes one free. It
is the Golden – White Light, the Alchemists Philosophers stone,
your Christ Self, leading us to the home and peace, out of which we
were born.

THE PHYSICS OF “I AM”
The Language of the Soul vs.
the Voice of the Spirit
By Marilyn Collins

“I AM” – Two simple, common words

and yet, what follows those two simple
words and what precedes those two words
define and redefines your world. In order to
understand the implications, we must first
understand some of the principles of Quan-
tum Physics that govern our existence.
The study of physics has led to some interesting discoveries in the
function and form of matter. Starting at the atomic level, scientists be-
gan to break “matter” down into its smallest subatomic form – the atom
consists of neutrons, protons and electrons which are made up of
smaller particles called quarks and so on. In its smallest form, matter
becomes space. What they found is that matter is really spread out in
space in wavy forms. This electron wave carries a unit of electrical
charge. Heisenberg’s “Uncertainty Principle” states that we cannot
really know therefore, where matter or energy really exists, where it has
been and where it is going; rather, we can only predict outcomes based
on probability. Therefore, our world operates on quantum probability
of a matter’s tendency to exist. Quantum physics negates the assump-
tion that matter is solid in form.
Quantum Physics reveals the world to be one giant dynamic web of
constantly changing and moving interconnected fields of energy. This
is supported by the phenomena of “non-locality”. “Non-Locality is de-
fined as phenomenon that occurrences on one side of the Universe can
instantly affect ‘matter’ on the other side of the Universe”. Alex Patter-
son states that “non-locality has profound implications for the prevail-
ing world view of reality in that it clearly demonstrates the intercon-
nectedness between all matter in the Physical Universe and the illusory
nature of Space and Time” (Quantum Physics). This has led to the Uni-
fied Field Theory that was first suggested by Einstein. Dr. Kam Kette-
ring argues that “the conclusion is that there is one underlying field that
permeates and connects all of creation and contains within it all of the
knowledge to create, guide, and direct all life and life processes”
(Solutions). Could science really be confirming the existence of one
infinite creative source that many call God?

9 Spring 2009
Another important phenomenon to consider is the ‘Observer Effect”.
Scientific experiments have shown that the presence of an observer is
key to the creation of any form. “The implications of the ‘Observer
Effect’ are profound because, if true, it means that before anything can
manifest in the physical universe it must first be observed. Presumably
observation cannot occur without the pre-existence of some sort of con-
sciousness to do the observing. The Observer Effect clearly implies
that the physical Universe is the direct result of ‘consciousness’” ac-
cording to Alex Patterson. Could this consciousness be the Mind of
God and could the key to creation be the interaction of man and God?
The electromagnetic property of these interacting fields of energy
has been well researched. The earth has its own field, as does the body.
The body’s electromagnetic field has been measured for many years
through EKG’s, EEG’s and EMG’s. There is also a more subtle form
of magnetic field that could more accurately be described as an ‘in-
form-ational’ field. “The Soviet Union has for many decades been ac-
tively involved in research on the subtle magnetic fields….Since 1944,
Soviet scientists have studied the ‘bioplasma’ which they define as a
theoretical fifth state of matter existing as a ‘particle soup’. In it, all
particles exist without form and coexist without a definite molecular
structure (Solutions by Dr. Kam Kettering).” This would again suggest
that these particles exist as infinite potential and possibility of form.
It has been scientifically proven that the DNA holds the program-
ming information for who we are to be. However, when scientists
looked at every cell, the DNA was exactly the same in each one. The
DNA is responding to these subtle forces in the bioplasmic energy field.
These energetic memory fields hold a record of the genetic and present-
life information that form a person, and it is through these fields that
innate intelligence expresses itself. This innate intelligence has been
given many names – Source, The One, Creator, God to name a few.
“The memory, which holds the records of the mind, will and emo-
tions, is actually a function of the subtle biplasmic field which sur-
rounds the body. The memory field is coupled to the brain like soft-
ware is coupled to hardware in computing. The memory is actually a
function of the field and not part of the actual hardware of the central
nervous system” (Solutions by Dr. Kam Kettering). There are many
documented cases where hydrocephalic people with as much as 95% of
their cranium filled with cerebrospinal fluid rather than brain tissue
have intelligence quotients as high as 126. (Espiau & Mumm)
So what kinds of information or “memories” are stored in this subtle
information field that surrounds us? Our ancestral genetic line experi-
ences, both good and bad, are stored within this field. Many of our an-

The Quester 10
cestors experienced severe illness, oppression, slavery, war, the Great
Depression, financial loss to name a few. All of these experiences are
stored there. As well, all of our own life experiences are also stored in
this field. These experiences may include incidents of physical, mental
or emotional shock and trauma creating blocks and dysfunction in an
area of your life, be it health, finances, relationship or career.
Remembering the magnetic quality of this field and that like attracts
like, another way “information is programmed into the biplasmic field
is by exposure to another’s, biplasmic field or another’s ‘particle soup’.
The electrically charged biplasmic particles from another…imprints
your electrically charged biplasmic field, similar to a magnetic attrac-
tion” according to Dr. Kam Kettering (Solutions). This is the biplasmic
field or ‘particle soup’ as re-
What you live and WHAT searched by Soviet scientists.
YOU ATTRACT to you is You then start living the real-
ity of the imprinted informa-
always a combination of tion from other person. Most
your information and often a person is unaware of
programs. the contamination and its ef-
fect on their life.
Each of these experiences (ancestral, your own experiences or con-
tamination imprinted from another’s field) are stored in your genetic
memory field producing thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, prejudices and
judgments, and this is true whether you are consciously aware of them
or not. Memories, feelings, emotions and beliefs are the result of the
information that is stored or programmed into the field, and this field is
magnetic. What you live and WHAT YOU ATTRACT to you is always a
combination of your information and programs. These attitudes and
beliefs then affect your actions, choices and behaviour. As you can see,
a cycle emerges.
This misinformation or field contamination is like a glitch on your
human bio-computer and makes it impossible for you to use your life
for its original purpose, much the same as the glitch or virus on the
computer makes it impossible for the computer to operate to its full ca-
pacity. These glitches or viruses manifest as self-sabotage in any area
of your life, inhibiting the realization of your true potential which is the
true nature of your Spirit or connection to the Source of Creation or
what I call God.
The soul is made up of the mind, the will and the emotions. To the
degree that the mind, will and emotions agree with the original blue-
print of your creation, made manifest individually through your spirit,
you will speak and create as a co-creator with God. The I AM you
speak then will be with the Holy Spirit and the Mighty I Am Presence.

11 Spring 2009
To go full circle back to the I AM and the question of what precedes
the I AM, who is talking? Who or what is talking will be the programs
and imprints in your subtle magnetic field. Is the imprint of your great
grandfather’s failure in business that speaks in your field as “I am a fail-
ure” overriding the intention to say “I am a success”? Approximately
95% of our behaviour is motivated by subconscious programming and
information. What spirit is directing your creation? Is it the spirit of
unforgiveness, rage or guilt? This Spiritual Law of Creation is no re-
spector of man, meaning that the energy that you put out is exactly what
you will get back. The language that you speak is far greater than your
words, therefore, affirmations alone will not change your reality.
What follows your I AM? Do you identify yourself as your role? – I
am a mother. Do you identify yourself as your emotions? – I am mad.
How about a condition? – I am sick. What is your intention? What
attitude do you have when you speak? Understand that, by Spiritual
Law, according to the understanding we have of the operation of quan-
tum physics, what you say (verbally or otherwise) the Universe, the
Universal Intelligence must create. What is the picture you have in
your mind when you look at something with expectation? Understand
that quantum physics verifies your thoughts, attitudes, beliefs and preju-
dices – all present in your biplasmic energy field when you present
yourself to the universe as the ‘Observer’ (refer to the “observer ef-
fect’). These thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, etc. then co-create with this
interconnected and inseparable dynamic web of energy patterns to
manifest in your reality the product of these beliefs and thoughts. We
are magnetic and attract to us situations and people to validate the infor-
mation and programming that we have in our energy field. Realize that
we also have at our command the full organizing creative potential of
the Universe. We have the potential to create the life we want if we are
aware and consciously choose to acknowledge the potential we also
have to create the life we do not want. The recognition of who or
what is creating your world has the potential to change your entire
life.
Intelligence is truth and light and above every intelligence is a
greater intelligence according to D.W. Espiau. IQ, your Intelligence
Quotient, was man’s earliest measurement of intelligence. This type of
measurement involves your cognitive or rational intelligence used to
solve logical problems. In the 1990’s, David Goleman, a psychologist,
introduced Emotional Intelligence based on his findings from psychol-
ogy and neuroscience. Emotional Intelligence has more to do with our
feelings and appropriate behaviour and responses to these feelings.
Empathy, motivation and compassion are all parts of Emotional Intelli-
gence.

The Quester 12
Dana Zohar and Ian Marshall introduced the concept of Spiritual
Intelligence. This intelligence has to do with our life purpose, our in-
trinsic values and a realization of the interconnectedness of all life.
This intelligence is not connected to any formal religion, but rather is
used in the quest to understand the meaning of life. Service and faith
are inherent components of this intelligence. Again, we have developed
an undeniable, irrefutable connection between Spirit, Oneness, The
Creator, The Source or God and our physical existence, and the more
intelligent we become, the more importance we place on the quest for
understanding the essence and quality of this Spirit. Hence, our human
journey is fully dedicated to the unfoldment and revelation of the crea-
tive Spirit within.
Mathematics and geometry are the building blocks of creation. “The
mathematical formulas that were initially developed to describe the be-
haviour of the universe turn out to govern the behaviour of the universe,
according to Alex Paterson (Quantum Physics).” There is a numerical,
digital, geometric language of the fields of creation. This “language”
clears and re-educates your energy fields back to their original blueprint
of creation. It works much like entering new information into a com-
puter to correct faulty programming and information errors. In other
words, it works like a viral scan program for these human bioenergy
fields. This “language” was developed by Dorothy Wood Espiau after
35 years of research. It has been my honor to study with Dorothy for
the last ten years and I owe much of my understanding of myself, God
and my ultimate responsibility as a co-creator with God to her research
and development.
This field of study has been called psychobiology, psychoneuroim-
munology or epigenetics and is the study of the energetic influence of
our environment, internal and external, and energy genetics on our
DNA, and hence, our life.

HOW MAY I SERVE ?
By NaMastA

Greetings Creator Beings, we are The Ancient Ones who call to you
with the ancient truth. Many have asked how is it may I serve, what is
my purpose and passion, where is my path? In these times of great
Earth changes, shifts and upheavals both personally and globally we
hear the cries. We come forth to ignite your passion (pass-I-on, to pass
your self on) so that you may come more fully into who you really are.
It is time for you to come into the old ways – not the ones perverted
with fears and rules, but into the sacred remembrance of who you really
are. Look to the word we are using here, to re-member, to re-join if you
will with your God-self. The time has come for this sacred re-union
and you all are invited! This remembrance we speak of is wholeness, to
honor all of you, the dark, the light, the wise one, the fool, the healthy,
the wounded, for all parts had their role to play. If one does not honor
the dark, one is missing a huge piece and integration cannot happen
until one sees the divinity in all. You have been working very hard
keeping your secrets in the closet, for “if they really knew me” has you
running scared. One must be willing to bring their darkness into the
light for it is this very action that strengthens one’s light, stop hiding
who you really are! Do you not know you have played ALL the roles
available, both of the dark and the light? Rejoice for it is time to wel-
come all of you home, to bless and integrate all of your experiences.
This year 2009 comes to the vibration 11. This is a master builder
number and as the Earth shifts so too do your foundations. To truly
serve of the heart you must look to see what you have built your belief
systems upon. Are you moving from reaction to creation (notice the
same spelling here); are you letting go of survivor-ship and welcoming
a life of exploring and thriving? Will you begin to see the divinity in all
situations, thereby putting down the chains of judgment; we speak par-
ticularly of stopping judging yourself!!! Do you see? It is with this you
will heal and become whole and it is with this you ARE serving your
God-self, you are your purpose, your passion, and your path is well lit.
Do not reach up to the sky when you direct your prayers, reach deep
within, for this is where your true power lies, all that you search for is
here, within your DNA. Stop hiding from it! Build your foundations
strong, release what no longer serves, clean out your closets – inner and
outer- for this year’s energy supports change. And change it will be,
indeed. Look to the energy of the Spring Equinox, have your fields
been cleared and are they ready for planting? There is a powerful four

The Quester 14
day vortex that will allow you to anchor your light, your gifts, your
dreams and even more powerful than your dreams, your visions!!!! The
inner work must be completed - and by this we simply mean that you
are breathing and knowing you are doing your best at all times - for you
hear in this no judgment, no berating, no scolding, simply a whisper
from Spirit, t’is time dear ones, t’is time to behold the truth of who you
really are, to step into the power, the wisdom and the knowledge, in-
deed.
A piece of you still buys into the untruth that you are not powerful
beings created in the image and likeness of the Creator. This is the
wounded piece of you that does not embrace all you have created; it
says, “I cannot have created this horrible thing/situation/person – what
ever it is - in my life”. Then you search for somewhere to place the
blame. This is how you keep the polarity dance alive, do you see? This
is why the situations that you clear and heal again and again keep show-
ing up on your doorstep, inviting you to once again participate in the
dance. How will you know that you have mastered these situations un-
til you can see them for what they really are - your own creations.

How will you know that you have mastered

these situations until you can see them for
what they really are - your own creations.

We say to you dear ones, that until you come to peace with this own-
ership, this responsibility for your own creation, you will continue with
the struggle. What is this responsibility we speak of? Dear ones it is
simply a promise you made to the Creator, that you would remember
who you really are and return home. How do you do this? How do you
return home? It had been said many times, home is within you. You
are God/Goddess/All that is. The returning then, means the remember-
ing of your true self, a re-union with your God-self. You look to all
your creations, whether it is family, career, mate, job, bank account, and
bless them from the depth of your beingness. Bring them into your
heart space, “the bottom of your heart” to where they belong. No
longer to deny any part of your self, this is honoring the promise you
made, and then watch the alchemy happen as you welcome all your
creations home. And then you get busy claiming this jewel of a planet
as your home for once you have done your own work, you have the
power of the ocean rather than the running water of your kitchen tap to
work with. This power only comes when one has gone within and done
their work.

15 Spring 2009
As long as you continue to beat yourself with the whip of unworthi-
ness, of not being rich, tall, pretty, young, thin, smart, gifted (and the
list goes on) you will stay locked in the illusion of lack. What do you
think the words, “To love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, all thy
soul, all thy might” pertain to? It is to love your self, this is the greatest
honoring of the Creator and the greatest support for Gaia that you can
do. For if you do not put your self first, then see how quickly the well
of peace, compassion, love, and joy runs dry. It is as if the Creator has
prepared a banquet with all your favorite food and you insist on bring-
ing a bagged lunch!
It is time to invite joy into your lives and stop being satisfied with
being ‘happy’ every once in awhile. This happiness is external and can
dissipate at any slight change of circumstance. Could you stay in your
heart center through a loss of a job, mate, home, loved one? When joy
is present one walks as the master one is and all else comes into align-
ment.
Come into the breath of God, this is where you will find the ancient
truth of who you are. Declare your self the most beautiful divine being
each and every day, and then watch how quickly your cellular structure
responds to this truth. Treat your self as a precious valuable gift that
has graced this beautiful jewel, Gaia. For indeed this is who and what
you are. Until next dear ones, walk in peace, walk in joy, walk in har-
mony.

HUNA HEALING CIRCLE
By Theodore Bromley

South Pacific.
Those words create images of romance,
sensuality and beauty; images of white sandy
beaches, exotic food, music, and beautiful,
friendly people; and images of warm tur-
quoise ocean. Since early childhood I have
been captivated by stories of Captain Cook,
the Maoris of New Zealand, the mysterious statues on Easter Island and
Hawaii.
Hawaii is the only island chain north of the equator that is included
in the 12,000,000 square mile area known as Polynesia. The South Sea
Islands are what remains of the continent Mu.
Legend has it that Mu (also known as Lemuria) colonized and spiri-
tualized all of the earth. Mu first received teaching from star beings.
In 1970 I was introduced to this intriguing spirituality through the
work of Max Freedom Long. Max was a white mainland American
who lived and taught school in Hawaii from 1917 to 1926. During this
time he observed Hawaiians walking barefoot upon molten lava without
getting burned. He witnessed a healer restore a boy’s broken arm to
normal in just a few minutes. He saw a man stand upon a rock and
command the sun to shine when it was raining and it did. Max Long
became obsessed with these “miracles”. He wanted to know how to
perform them. The knowledge had been declared illegal by their U.S.
conquerors and it was known by just a few islanders. They were un-
willing to share it with outsiders. Although he was allowed to observe
these events Max was unable to learn what he wished while he was in
Hawaii.
In 1935 Max was inspired through a series of dreams. He was
shown that the Hawaiian language held all the keys to the teachings.
He discovered that the secret knowledge was available to anyone who
was willing to work for it. It was Max who gave this knowledge a
name. He called it Huna. Huna means secret.
Those who know me or have read my book The White Rose will
know that I have Roman Catholic roots and that I wholeheartedly hon-
our everyone’s spiritual journey. I have garnered much that has been

17 Spring 2009
valuable to my spiritual growth from a variety of sources. It is the spiri-
tuality of the south Pacific, specifically Hawaii, with which I resonate
the most. I am “turned on” by Huna because Huna is magical, powerful
and beautiful. Above all Huna works for me.
In 1991 and 1992 I facilitated Huna study groups in Vernon, B.C.
and my hometown of Enderby, B.C.. The most popular part of those
gatherings was the Huna circle that always ended our evening. In the
intervening years the Huna Healing Circle has evolved and expanded as
I have been guided and it has become the main focus of my Huna work.
I have facilitated Huna Circles at the Spring Festival of Awareness and
at Questers conferences. I have shared it with people in many commu-
nities in British Columbia, Alberta and beyond. It is at home where my
Circle has shown its greatest growth. First someone establishes a need
e.g. “my friend is ill” or “my brother had a bad accident” and a Huna
Healing Circle is planned. An e-mail is sent to those who have re-
quested to be on the list and, always, enough people attend to create a
powerful Circle. The results of the Healing Circle have been most
gratifying for everyone, many times spectacularly so.

THE MAYAN CALENDAR
AND HUMANITY’S PATH
TOWARDS
ENLIGHTENMENT
by Carl-Johan Calleman

The prophetic Mayan calendar is unique

among the calendars of the world in being non-
astronomically based. Rather than being based
on the physical movements of the earth, sun and
planets it charts the changing spiritual energies of cosmic evolution.
Unlike the world’s many astrological systems the Mayan calendar is not
based on the Earth’s precession or positions of the stars. It is however
the only calendar that is proven to be prophetic and the predictions
made from it are repeatedly verified. From this perspective it is then
natural to ask what this calendar has to say about the mission of Sri
Bhagavan in today’s world as well as Enlightenment in general. Sri
Bhagavan, who is an Enlightenment avatar in South India that since the
early nineties has actively sought to help people attain the Enlightened
state, in fact uses the same framework as the Mayan calendar for the
change in consciousness that we are currently living in the midst of.
A good starting point for this discussion are the ideas put forth by
Sri Bhagavan himself and those around him, which is that the time for
humanity to become enlightened is now and that this now will only last
until the year 2012. There are two remarkable things about these views.
The first is that by presenting such a perspective Sri Bhagavan makes a
break with the traditional Eastern view. According to the traditional
perspective, Enlightenment – which by itself is a kind of entry into a
timeless reality, an ever-present now – is something that happens
independently of human history. It has been regarded as a state that
may be attained at any point in time as a result of the application of
various methods of individual spiritual purification and enhancement.
Hardly any traditional Eastern text mentions an exact point in time at
which Enlightenment is to be attained. Moreover, in most such texts
Enlightenment is seen as something that is the goal of the individual as
if he or she was separate from cosmic evolution.
The second noteworthy thing is that the year set for the
accomplishment of this mission, 2012, coincides with what to the rest
of the world has become known as the ending year of the Mayan
calendar; 2012. (Actually the true date for the completion of the cosmic

19 Spring 2009
plan is October 28, 2011. Although this concordance of the dates
was not originally known to Sri Bhagavan, it does provide for a
unification of the world views of the East and the West on a new and
higher level. In fact, since Sri Bhagavan did not originally know about
the existence of the Mayan calendar, this confluence of dates seems all
the more telling and remarkable. It verifies the reality of the Mayan
calendar that in certain aspects it can be intuitively accessed by any
cosmically attuned inhabitant of this planet.
Briefly, the Mayan calendar is associated with nine creation cycles,
which represent nine levels of consciousness – or Underworlds – as
symbolized by the Mayan pyramids. This pyramidal structure of
consciousness development can explain things as disparate as the
common origin of world religions and the modern complaint that time
seems to be moving too fast. Time, in fact is speeding up as we
transition from the materialist Planetary Underworld that still govern us
to a new and higher frequency of conscious-ness – the Galactic
Underworld – in preparation for the final
Universal level of conscious Enlightenment.
The Mayan calendar is thus a spiritual device
that enables a greater under-standing of the
nature of conscious evolution throughout
human history and points to concrete steps
we can take to align ourselves with this
cosmic evolution toward Enlightenment.
Interestingly then, the Mayan calendar places
Sri Bhagavan’s mission in a context, the
divine plan as this is charted by the Mayan calendar.
A distinguishing characteristic about the Mayan calendar is thus that
new ways of thinking about religion and spirituality – and the
individuals that promote these who usually are referred to as avatars or
prophets – emerge at clearly definable times as related to the Mayan
calendar. They in other words often emerge at times propelling
significant changes in consciousness as defined by the Mayan calendar.
An obvious example is the Buddha, Siddharta Gautama, whose year of
birth is often given as 552 BC, which is the exact midpoint of the
Mayan Long Count starting in 3114 BC and ending in 2012. Another is
that Christianity began to be widely taught around AD 40, as the Ninth
baktun, ruled by Quetzalcoatl, the Lord of Light in ancient Mexico,
began to dominate the consciousness of people.
The point to realize is that spiritual leaders do not just pop up
randomly in the history of humanity, but at times where the cosmic plan
alters the consciousness of people in such a way that people become
receptive to a new message. If Jesus, for instance, would have appeared

The Quester 20
with his message in the baktun beginning 1538 BC, he would rapidly
have been forgotten as his message, in the consciousness ruling at that
time, would have fallen on deaf ears. It is the evolution of
consciousness among humanity as this is defined by the Mayan
calendar that defines what spiritual messages people are receptive to at
any given time. In this sense, also the message of Sri Bhagavan, and
the path towards Enlightenment that he points out, appears at the
current time simply because the Cosmic Plan has now endowed people
with a consciousness that makes them receptive to this message.
Of course, if human evolution is looked upon in this way, the role of
individual prophets is somewhat lessened. They are, as the rest of us,
only agents of the Cosmic Plan and its divine purpose. And so, there
may be many different types of spiritual practice, embodied by several
different individuals, that may be leading people to the state of
Enlightenment. All that the Mayan calendar is saying is that at the
current time the evolution of consciousness is becoming increasingly
more favorable to the
consciousness change that
It is the evolution of attaining the Enlightened
consciousness among humanity state means. It does not
as this is defined by the Mayan say that there is only one
calendar that defines what individual that can help
spiritual messages people are bring this change about,
nor does it say that there is
receptive to at any given time. only one type of spiritual
practice that may lead
there. What it does say however is that step by step there will be a
change in consciousness in the current Galactic Underworld that until
October 28, 2011, will make Enlightenment a state that is increasingly
more easily attained.
To the majority of humanity however, events – not only the
attainment of a state of Enlightenment, but also changes in religious
thinking or technological innovations – happen more or less at random
and are unrelated to its evolution at large. This denial or ignorance of a
cosmic time plan for the evolution of humanity blinds it to its higher
purpose. We should then not be surprised that the world looks the way
it does as most people do not recognize that they are here to fulfill a
purpose and to do this in a limited amount of time. A view of history as
being random fosters not only a lack of hope, but in many also an
irresponsible attitude towards life. Hence follows the overriding
importance of working to disseminate information about the Mayan
calendar in today’s world and Sri Bhagavan has encouraged adepts to
study it.

21 Spring 2009
The current unification of the modern expressions of some of the
most advanced ancient traditions of the West and the East, the Mayan
the Vedic, in fact creates an opening for an understanding that human
life has an inherent purpose. Even if the modern East and West in
recent times have been engaged in many conflicts it thus seems possible
that, if we are willing to explore their ancient origins, we will find some
common ground. This would create an entirely new world view that is
whole and where nothing is separate from the All.
In this unification it seems that it is the West, the Maya and some
other Native American peoples, that is providing the calendrical
knowledge about the cosmic plan, while it is the East, the Vedic and
Buddhist traditions that is carrying the time-less wisdom of the Self.
The practical unification of these thought systems and traditions is then
brought about by all those that are taking a path towards Enlightenment
and according to the Mayan calendar the time for this is now. In so
doing we are collectively speaking creating the Universal Underworld.

BODYWORKZ
By Joe Amaral

When I was just forty, I started to have

back pain. One day the pain was so bad that
I had to sleep on the floor. While at work, a
friend saw that I was in pain and suggested
that I see a chiropractor. In those days, I did-
n't know what a chiropractor was. I made an
appointment and off I went. After three ses-
sions, I felt pretty good. I decided to do the once a month thing.
After a couple of months, I found that if I was “out”, the session felt
good but if I was OK it would hurt. I didn’t like the hurt part so I
stopped going. I only went if I was “out”.
While talking to my wife Jacque, she suggested I get into an exercise
program. I joined the TaeKwon-do club. This felt good and my back
didn’t bother me anymore unless I did something to aggravate it, like
picking up a heavy box incorrectly or when I was sparring with a taller
partner.
One weekend, I hurt my back, the chiropractor was closed. I didn't
like the pain so I got on the floor and imitated the moves that my chiro-
practor did. Lo and behold it worked!
After this, I started to buy books on “How to fix your back”. During
this time period, I was having neck issues. Quite often I would hold the
phone between my shoulder and my head. Whenever I did this I would
have a kink the next day.
One day, while I was using the phone, I switched sides, I didn’t get
my kinky neck. I started to pay attention. I found that if I kept my
body balanced I would not suffer. One weekend I found that after do-
ing four hours of gardening, my back was quite sore.
I decided to try out my balancing idea. I had been bent over for four
hours so I reasoned that I should bend backwards. I found that after
bending backwards for a mere 30 seconds my back felt good, the pain
was gone. I was hooked. This was neat stuff, my curiousity was peeked.
I started to buy and read various stretching books in addition to the
stretches that I learned in TaeKwon-do; stretching really helped.
The opportunity to learn Reiki came about and I decided to take the
course, it was the best thing that happened to me. After practising Reiki
for a year I found that there were some people that I couldn't help, this

23 Spring 2009
bothered me. I found out about Healing Touch, that was a wonderful
addition to my Reiki, now I was able to help a few more people. After
a couple of years, I found out about Zen Shiatsu. I went to learn the
basic full body Shiatsu, it was a one week intense course; that was very
enjoyable.
From there I took a one week intense course on Deep Tissue Mas-
sage. In the meantime, I purchased many books on the various courses
that I was taking, this helped me to become better at what I was doing.
From here I learned and became certified in EFT (Emotional Free-
dom Techniques). I learned TFT (Thought Field Therapy), the basic
course as well as the diagnostic section. Recently, I have taken the
Upledger Craniosacral Therapy course.
As I worked with my clients and with my own aches and pains, I
found certain techniques worked very good for specific aches and pains.
This is when I developed a form of
bodywork that I call Bodyworkz. Us-
I have found that ing techniques from the various mo-
when the body is out dalities that I have learned, I put to-
gether a series of techniques to do a
of balance, it is in ‘quick fix” on my client’s aches and
pain; when you pains.
rebalance the body, In Bodyworkz, I use techniques
the pain goes away. from Shiatsu, Deep Tissue Massage,
Trigger Point Therapy, Healing Touch
and Reiki. By using Bodyworkz, I
have been able to help my clients to overcome pain fairly quickly.
Back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, whiplash, pretty much any pain
that involves unbalanced muscles. I have found that if the hips are out
of balance, not only can you have hip pain, you can also have knee and
foot pain. When the hips are properly balanced, hip and knee surgery
are often not necessary. I have found that by using my balancing the-
ory, I have been able to help quite a few people, including people that
were scheduled to have surgery. I have found that when the body is out
of balance, it is in pain; when you rebalance the body, the pain goes
away. Pretty much any problem with the body, such as arthritis or any
other illness, it is a SYMPTOM of an unbalanced body; balance the
body and the symptoms go away.
Depending on the injury, and length of time since the injury, one to
five sessions is usually enough to correct hip, knee, shoulder and back
pain.
Although I have come a long way in the last twelve years, I know
that I am just beginning my healing journey.

ARE WE REALLY READY FOR
HEALING CONCEPTS TO
GROW AND CHANGE?
By Robert James Haywood

During the last hundred years or so many

of the more ‘left-field’ forms of healing have
remained in an interventionist concept.
Whether it be the replacing of chemical
medicines with more holistic counterparts,
through to the divine intervention by God,
angels, healing guides, masters or gurus, there has been a largely
external catalyst entering the seeker, from outside of that seeker, to
effect a ‘cure’ of whatever manifestation of dis-ease is present. From
naturopathic and homeopathic, spiritual healing to reiki, the emphasis
remains on the outside practitioner or ‘healer’ introducing the
catalyst/tablet/energy to heal the complaint or ease the complaint, or,
indeed, nurture the seeker ~ all of which is supportive, sure, but is it
enough and does it actually have the wisdom to endure?
I think, in the broad sense, this is an appropriate description of the
majority of expressions of support available in the areas of wholistic
health practices.
I know, in my own practice of making myself available to support
others, the wisdom behind what I feel most appropriate to do now
necessitated my dropping the ‘healer’ title (because we all are the major
healers for ourselves) and actually not doing anything for five years in
that one to one scenario, until the appropriate insight and wisdom gave
me direction in what I believe to be that next level, emerged for me.
Gone, the (need for) reality of angels, guides, and God-out-there and
insignificant us-down-here. Arrived now - at supporting divine essence
within of the requester and it is that - no matter the catalyst employed -
that is allowed to do the work.
Let us take the example of ‘Hands On’ spiritual healing. Old
interpretation:- ‘healer’ stands behind recipient, perhaps puts hand on
shoulders of recipient, and, in a nutshell, healing energy flows down
and from that great-out-there (the higher *cough* dimensions) down
through the channel, into the person seeking support, to ‘heal’
them. Usually there is no discovery of cause, only nurturing time out
for the effect. Now let's apply newer wisdoms to that same scenario
and with that new understanding and perspective comes unfettered
possibilities...

The Quester 26
So, the recipient allows themself some honest vulnerability and asks
for help. In our scenario here, they sit in front of the person they want
to give them healing and that person stands behind them, perhaps
saying a short prayer and places their hands on the shoulders of the
recipient. Now, as the hands of the person giving support touches the
shoulders of the person in front of them, that suit of armour we all
carry, call it ego/defences, is breached, actually clearing the channel for
energy and support to flow from the inside to out! This is the profound
and sacred nurturing of our own Divine Essence. The wisdom, the
understanding, the knowing, within ourselves.
Forget ‘soul mate’, ‘twin flame’, and all the other emotional based
needs and wants, this is the real deal. The wisdom of Essence within
knows us like no other being can. It is all about perception. It is all
about wisdom and the ability to be open to new possibilities. Let go of
the old, the accepted, the comfortable and a new wonder and awakening
fills the void. Adventure!

ANCIENT WISDOM ILLUMINATED
WITH MODERN TECHNOLOGY
Visions with the Ancient
Crystal Skull Sha Na Ra and The
Light Labyrinth
By Kirby Seid
Crystals, minerals, light and sound have
been used by cultures throughout human
history to access sacred visions and healing.
Rituals for entering trance often included
drumming, chanting and dancing that
pulsed the firelight into hypnotizing flashes. More recently pioneering
research into light and sound has produced new technologies for heal-
ing and meditation. In the modern world, we often turn to ancient wis-
dom to regain a sense of spiritual dominion. The Light Labyrinth Pro-
ject is an integration of the ancient healing power of light and quartz
with innovative technology.
As a symbolic vessel for human consciousness, various ancient cul-
tures have used carved stone skulls in ceremonies. Sometimes they
served as portals into specific realms of spirit helpers and ancestors.
These special talismans have been used as record keepers, witnesses to
important events, and as keepers of sacred dreams, knowledge and
power.
Sha Na Ra, is the name of an authentic ancient crystal skull
guardianed by Khrys Nocerino and the late F.R. ‘Nick’ Nocerino. Nick
Nocerino was the first person to search for crystal skulls, and is consid-
ered the founder of the crystal skull research. He was the first to re-
ceive the information on the “thirteen crystal skulls”. Even though he is
well known for his work with crystal skulls, he had a wide range of ma-
terial he taught and researched including minerals and intuitive psychic
development. Nick was a gifted teacher, a teacher’s teacher, who
helped many people develop intuitive awareness. He applied a great
deal of research to his teachings of parapsychology. He cleared land
and properties of negative influences and also worked on police investi-
gations. He contributed a monumental amount of notes, videos and
articles that have yet to be published. He had both an objective aca-
demic and a deeply personal perspective with crystals and crystal
skulls. Nick discovered Sha Na Ra and spent many years personally
working with and sharing this cherished artifact with others. Many
people have had deep visions, intuitions, past life recalls, and messages
from the unseen with Sha Na Ra.

The Quester 28
When viewed with the The Light Labyrinth, advanced light and
sound technology, the crystal skull Sha Na Ra is illuminated to new
realms of visionary potential. The human skull as a resonating cavity
acts as a vibrating mechanism to translate energies to and from the
brain. The crystal skull makes immediate resonant identification with
the head and brain of a human and can potentially assist human brains
to download information for higher dimensional communications. By
placing the light technology through the skull, people can access varied
frequencies of consciousness.
The Light Labyrinth has specially designed light programs and stun-
ning color effects which, when projected upward into a natural crystal,
illuminates the fractal landscape in the crystal. The light programs
were carefully composed combining brainwave technology and color
effects designed to help the viewer reach a gentle hypnogogic state. In
the light and crystal, images, symbols and metaphors may emerge out
of the deeper self and project onto the shapes and colors. This pure
light color experience can help one tap into the essence of the emotional
self. One woman explained, “This felt like a hugely nourishing infu-
sion of living energy. Living color. I had a feeling of soaking in some-
thing very important for me to receive.”

“The Light Labyrinth is an expression of an emerging system in to-

day’s culture to bring the wisdom of ancient practices into our modern
lives, bringing together science, art, spirituality and culture. As indi-
viduals in a modern world we must make our own journey of self-
discovery and self-empowerment. The roots of ancient ways are renew-
ing themselves in unique expressions today - like deep roots in the earth
seeking new branches and leaves. It is our hope that as the structures of
an industrial and warring culture decay, these new structures of spiritu-
ality, co-creation and caretaking each other and our planet will stand
and replace them,” says Kirby Seid, developer of the Light Labyrinth
technology. “We designed the Light Labyrinth with the intention of
assisting people into transcendent meditation with the beauty of light

29 Spring 2009
and color patterns refracted off the complex and unique fractals and
veils of quartz crystals. The piseoelectric energy of the crystal com-
bined with various frequencies additionally facilitate the viewer to shift
consciousness. In our workshops many people have experiences of
emotional healing and profound spiritual guidance,” says Kirby. “All
that is required is your intent to engage this crystal light path. It will
carry you, lift you through beauty and challenge you with the chaos of
patterns until you arrive at the center. The place where even if a storm
is happening you are at peace.”
Just like in dream work, the journey in the Light Labyrinth is a pow-
erful search that speaks to the soul and is deeply personal. Gazing into
the ambience of vibrant color in the lovely landscape of a quartz crystal
can lift one into a transcendent state. Recognizing the beauty within
can be a healing experience. People tell us that they feel an increased
sense of peace and ease that stays with them from one session to the
next. One viewer told us, “My friend who is a psychotherapist cried the
first time she worked with the Light Labyrinth. She said she felt like
she was sitting inside the heart of God. It was a profoundly spiritual
experience for her.”
In many spiritual traditions people see loving beings from beyond
the physical plane as light. These may come in the form of benevolent
guides. Light beings exist beyond the horizons that we know, to answer
our calls for guidance. They deliver messages of hope, healing, solu-
tions and miracles. These light beings are not confined to time and
space and can create a bridge for us to access our vast unconscious
minds that holds immense wisdom, creativity and healing. At this time
on our planet we need this inner co-creative power to bring forth the
miracles we need to solve the unsolvable. The synergy of the ancient
quartz beings, Sha Na Ra and the Light Labyrinth technology can help
us access our own inner wisdom and assist us in co-creating with these
powerful beings of light.

THE MANDALA
An integrated structure organized around a unifying center
Longchenpa

The word "mandala" is from the classical Indian language of

Sanskrit. Loosely translated to mean "circle," a mandala is far more
than a simple shape. It represents wholeness, and can be seen as a
model for the organizational structure of life itself--a cosmic diagram
that reminds us of our relation to the infinite, the world that extends
both beyond and within our bodies and minds. ~ The Mandala Project

WHICH COLOURS MAKE
YOU FEEL LUCKY?
Do You Ever Wonder How You Can Love
Certain Colours and Not Like Others?

By MaryJane Gottschlag

The Quester 34
The ancient science of the Chakras, most common to Hindus, Yogis,
and Asian cultures has now more than ever become popular here in the
West; it is the science of connecting the 7 colours of the rainbow to the
7 colours of our bodies energy centers; yes, that is right, we have 7
different power centers that work together internally by combining all
the colours of the rainbow or what we call the full-spectrum light that
we get from the sun; the body converts these different colours into
energy fuel.
Each of the 7 chakras ("wheels of light" in sanskrit) is associated with
a particular gland, organ and level of consciousness; the optimum level
of performance in our body is the 55-65% range and that reflects strong
power and a good flow of energy. We also have the bio-field (or aura)
which is one's energy thought force, it is reflected on what and how we
think and this electromagnetic field of vibrating energy emanates from
all living beings and animals and plants. Its symbols and colours
constitute a blueprint of one's soul and shows
the colours of ones potential vibrating out

colour goes back If your chakras are not working strongly,
over 5000 years then the colours will show weak and pale;
you will physically feel tired and emotionally
depressed. The history of healing with colour
goes back over 5000 years; the ancient Egyptians wore jewelry of
semi-precious stones for decoration and healing practices. Red gems
worn to build strength, yellow ones for detox, orange carnelian for joy
and is one of the oldest gemstones known to man, blue lapis and
sodalite to calm nerves and green gems worn for harmony, prosperity,
fertility. Coloured glass found in the great halls of Egypt were used to
amplify light energy in the healing rooms as it was reflected off the sun.
The Egyptians combined the light with essential oils, gemstones, and
music to realign the bodies energy and heal the aura.

CHOPSTICKS ACUPUNCTURE
By Dr. Shmuel Halevi

Thanks to John Living for bringing this to our attention. John writes:
“Wanting to help our members become more proficient in Healing, I
have placed the ‘Distant Healing Manual’ on the Holistic Intuition So-
ciety website - it is a free download, about 100 pages in .pdf format.
Go to - http://in2it.ca/HealManual.pdf to have it on your computer for
your use on yourself and others. It includes many aspects not covered
by the usual modalities, including Healing above the Soul level, over-
coming tooth problems, and using Dowsing on the Acupuncture points
and meridians.
The Acupuncture drawings in the manual were made by Dr. Shmuel
Halevi, taken from his web page with kind permission - http://
www.acumedico.com
His book, “Chopsticks Acupuncture - The Ultimate Self-Treatment
Technique” which is published by Trafford (Victoria, BC), ISBN
9781553956105, is an outstanding self-help work. His own preface
(below) explains it best ! ”

The idea of writing this book, I must con-

fess, came after a most painful personal ex-
perience. Sometime around the age of fifty,
after having accumulated more than twenty
years of clinical practice in Chinese medi-
cine, I found myself in extreme pain one day,
unable to help myself at all. I was suffering
a severe attack of ‘renal colic’ - acute pain in
the kidney area, usually caused by a kidney
stone, which maybe very small and seeks its
way out of the kidney, via the ureter, to the
bladder. The resulting pain is excruciating.
In desperation I called upon a ‘conventional’
western-medicine practitioner friend for help.
His very concentrated chemical pills made
me drowsy and only alleviated the pain slightly for a relatively short
time. I was desperate, agonized, and my wife was close to tears. Acu-
puncture, I knew from my clinical practice, can be very effective in
such cases. I have treated many sufferers of the same condition with
very good and immediate results. Yet, I was unable to apply it to my-
self, mainly because of the intense pain and, also, because the most ef-
fective points for this treatment are situated on the back.

The Quester 36
After a few hours of misery I grabbed, probably due to unexpected
divine providence, a 40 cm stick that my small child used to play with,
and jammed it forcefully against the most tender point on my back, on
the same side of the pain. This acu-point, known in Chinese as
‘Shenshu’, is translated as ‘the associated point of the kidney’. I thus
lay prone on my stomach, held the stick vertically with both my hands
stretched backward, and applied intense pressure to this Shenshu point.
The result of this intense stick pressure was nothing short of a small
miracle! After only two to three minutes of direct and intense pressure
on the point, the pain started to subside and dissipate like the rising of a
heavy morning fog. During that day and the next, I repeated this un-
conventional treatment, with the aid of my wife or by myself, utilizing
other acupuncture points as well, in order to hasten the passage of the
tiny stone down to my bladder. The whole incident terminated the next
day when I clearly felt the stone sliding down to my bladder...
Astonished by the outcome of this event, and fearing that it might be
only an isolated and unrepeatable case, I decided to research more
deeply and diligently into the possibilities of this apparently new self-
treatment technique...
Thus, in the following weeks and months I ordered specially made
cylindrical sticks 40 cm long and 2 cm broad, as well as a few wooden
chopsticks, and commenced my observation. I applied this stick treat-
ment to a number of my patients, with or without ordinary acupuncture
treatment, or instructed them how and where to apply this treatment by
themselves, at home. It was absolutely astonishing. Minor pain cases
in back, shoulder or neck problems were reported cured in less than a
week. Some patients with various digestive complaints, chronic sinusi-
tis, or other chronic and not too complicated internal ailments, suc-
ceeded in healing themselves in the same way, after only brief instruc-
tion on in the use the sticks. Other patients reported that their problems
were only alleviated, but they too were pleased to have found a success-
ful treatment method they could apply easily (free of charge) whenever
they felt it necessary.

Chopsticks Acupuncture is incredibly easy to master, and extremely

effective - despite its simplicity. It combines the use of acupuncture,
one of the most powerful healing systems ever invented by mankind,
with a lay method of application affordable and available to almost any-
one, at any age. There is no real necessity for a prior knowledge of
medicine, or acupuncture, though such knowledge may enhance the
patient's capability to choose the right points, or enhance the sophistica-
tion of the treatment. There are no real dangers or harmful side effects

37 Spring 2009
to this procedure, apart from reddened skin for the more sensitive pa-
tient. The time and intensity of stimulation is manageable by the pa-
tient, as the treatment is self-applied.
Still, the system is not a panacea. A professional medical examina-
tion should be performed by a medical practitioner of either Chinese or
Western medicine, in any case of health concern. Sometimes a simple
health problem may only be the offshoot of a more severe condition, or
the beginning of a disease process. Thus, an experienced physician
may diagnose a condition that a lay person will lack the ability to iden-
tify.
Major health problems, most of the internal and organic diseases,
and stubborn and hard to cure chronic ailments, would probably not
benefit much from the application of Chopsticks Acupuncture. Some of
them though, may be symptomatically ameliorated with some expertise
acquired by experience. It is nevertheless reasonable to try and treat
them all by this method. Firstly because there is absolutely no risk in
this treatment technique, and secondly because one cannot know in ad-
vance if and to what extent this treatment may help.

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

~ Leonardo Da Vinci

Here is one example for Disorders of the Ear...

As much as the eyes connect with the liver Qi or the nose with lung
Qi, so the ear responds to kidney Qi. Therefore, acute hearing and good
physical balance denote abundant and flourishing kidney Qi. Acupun-
ture is very useful in treating various ear and hearing problems. In
many instances, even sudden deafness, (as a result of C.V.A. for exam-
ple), may be completely cured by acupuncture, assuming that the treat-
ment is performed close enough to the onset of the disease. Tinnitus,
hearing problems, various otitus (ear infection) syndromes, ear pain and
other disorders, also respond well to acupuncture.
With the chopstick therapy, we can usually resolve ear pain or use it
to tonify the overall ear functioning. This may improve hearing acuity
and physical balance.

Main Prescription: Sj-17 Yifeng, Sj-3 Zhongzhu

Sj- 17 Yifeng (Wind Screen) - The name suggests the indication of this
point against exogenous pathogens affecting the ear and face, especially
Wind.

The Quester 38
Beneath the ear lobe, at the depression between the
lateral mandible margin and the bottom of ear.

Energetic Actions
Regulates Qi in the ear, resolves pain, fights exogenous pathogens.

Symptoms and Functions

• This is one of the main acu-points for the treatment of all ear disor-
ders. It is used both for functional diseases such as hearing impair-
ments or vertigo, as much as for infections, pain, purulent cerumen
discharge and more.
• In addition to these, the point is usually utilized for facial paralysis,
trigeminal neuralgia, tics and other facial syndromes. Also toothache,
speech difficulties and eye problems are sometimes helped with the
use of Yifeng.

Manipulation
For this point the narrow tip of the Chopstick can be used effectively.
Insert the stick tip into the point, and use the Pressing and the Twisting
manipulations. Do this with slow movements, until you can feel dull
pain spreading in the point's vicinity.

Sj-3 Zhongzhu (Middle Islet) – The Chinese name refers to the loca-
tion of the point, in regards to its Five Element energetic position.

Zhongzhu can be found in the back of

the hand, in the depression between the
4th and 5th metacarpal bones.

Energetic Actions
Benefits the ears, eyes and head, clears
pathgogenic Heat, alleviates pain.

Symptoms and Functions

• This point is used mainly for ear problems, but not exclusively. For
the ear it is used to treat pain, impaired hearing, tinnitus, excessive

39 Spring 2009
cerumen discharge, stuffiness and an inability to adjust to pressure
exposure.
• It is also widely used for various hand and pain and movement disor-
ders including sharp pain in the upper back.
• Dizziness, migraine, visual disturbances and sore throats – are also
within Zhongzhu’s medical indications.
• Fever, red face malaria and madness may also be treated by this point.

Manipulation
You may use either side of the Chopstick
to manipulate the point. Manipulations
such as Pressing, Twisting and Scraping
are all acceptable. Acute ear symptoms
will usually need vigorous manipulation.
For general tonification purposes such as
improving hearing clarity, use moderate
to light manipulations.

The tools used by Dr. Halevi are chopsticks (wooden or plastic), and a
40cm long wooden stick of diameter 2cm for adults or 1.5cm for age 10
to 15 years. Note that the ends must be rounded to avoid injury. ~JML

The Quester 40
On Consciousness, Darkness and Light
by Michael Boruch
We are individualised multidimensional, eternal, transcendental,
spiritual beings (having souls dressed in the beautiful effulgent spiritual
bodies, and not in three-dimensional corruptible illusory gross material
ones) who have come from different equally transcendental planetary
systems beyond that manifested material universe. We are indeed the
beings of eternal love and light. We are beautiful eternal souls
trapped in this material world of illusion by our, as well not by our
own making.
Darkness is ignorance, manipulation through fear and guilt, mind
control, rape, violence, hatred, male and female chauvinism, the lack of
balance between masculine and feminine within any given individual,
lust for power and possessions, lack of unconditional love, and indeed
the imbalance of forces of darkness and light. All of the above leads to
degradation, delusion, and finally suffering. That is what indeed the
darkness is. Darkness is used for control by the sinister forces that have
made us forget who we truly are. Unfortunately, because of these
forces of evil, the history of the human race is very much akin to
Humpty Dumpty with de-fragmented consciousness and the most se-
vere case of billion-year-old amnesia.
In the transcendental state of being the darkness and the light are
one, but it is only in transcendental state meaning beyond the mani-
fested material universe. It is like looking at the darkness and the
light from the vantage point of expanded consciousness. I cannot
explain beyond that, because you have to experience it for yourself,
because it is completely experiential. Our mission is to release our-
selves from the forces of evil and darkness, reunite masculine and
feminine within us, and get back to our forgotten home beyond this
material world.
We live in multidimensional, multileveled universe with different
states of One Beautiful Eternal Consciousness that is the integral part of
our true selves. We can only come back home to the Godhead by spiri-
tually purifying ourselves through love, light and devotion.
When one becomes enlightened, say, like Buddha or Bodhisattva
Issa (Jesus Christ), one indeed will see that darkness and light are one
from the transcendental vantage point. That is what is called self-
realisation, expanded consciousness, experience of God/Christ/Krishna
consciousness from within – samadhi in Sanskrit. HARI OM TAT SAT

Going Up! Ascension News
February, 2009
By Carol Heywood-Babrauskas

Stretched to the Limits

of Extreme Contrasts

Just before starting this column, I

glanced at my e-mail and opened a posting
on QuesterNews an article titled “Infinite Possibilities” by Owen
Waters; the next was a link to a YouTube presentation that told of many
evil plots being perpetrated by elitist big bankers, and the next was a
channeled message from the Hathors to Tom Kenyon telling of the
increased plasma energy coming through from sun that will either
provide a boost for ascension for those on an upward path or a source of
increased struggle for those who are not. That about covers the gamut
of what I want to cover here.
When I am at home, I avoid media news broadcasts, however, I just
returned from a trip to California where I was delayed in airports, both
going and coming, and those CNN headlines were unavoidable.
Practically every news story had something to do with economic woes.
I became aware of how the economic crash is being fueled by the
programming of the masses through this pervasive media that generates
very negative thoughts in the minds of its captive audience, which
becomes a self-fulfilled prophecy. As I have written before, I see this
crash as part of a collapse of systems that are obsolete and need to get
out of the way to make room for better ways, and so it can be looked at
as a positive thing. My husband Vyto asked me how I can feel good
about something that is so bad for so many people! I persisted that we
always have choices and that if we seek positive alternatives to this
unhealthy lifestyle, we can actually liberate ourselves from old
restrictive structures that don’t fit anymore and we can have a positive
crash. Sort of like the airplane that recently crashed into the Hudson
River with all passengers escaping unharmed. I am quite sure that was
a positive crash for all those people and they are now feeling that they
are blessed with a new lease on life. I know of many people who have
lost their jobs and homes and have moved to where they have always
wanted to live and are doing what they have always wanted to do and
are feeling very liberated. Most of these people would never have done
this on their own, so they are grateful for the crash.

The Quester 42
A few nights ago, while visiting my 87 year-old mother in the
hospital after her recent successful major surgery, the subject of the
failing US economy came up and we both agreed that things are headed
in the direction of the US government going bankrupt. Differences in
politics and religion have prompted us to avoid those subjects for many
years, but here we were agreeing so we pressed on. “What are people
going to do?” she asked. “Well, you know Mom, I have been telling
you about my new work in community development and I believe that
is the answer,” I replied. Previous to now she had only expressed
minimal interest in what I have been doing, so I didn’t bother going into
it with her, but this time I could feel her piqued interest as she asked
“What was that place you visited in Scotland and why did you go
there?” For the next two hours, I explained how the Findhorn
Foundation in Scotland is a community that got started in 1962 by a
group of friends who were in between jobs and were on the dole so they
planted a garden to supplement their food supply. One of them
discovered she could make the plants grow bigger by talking to them
and she was able to grow forty pound cabbages, so the word got out and
people starting coming to see the gardens and wanted to learn more.
Some of those people stayed and it just kept growing from there. I told
her that now they have 400 residents and they are self-sustained by
growing their own food, providing their own electricity from windmills,
handling their own waste, governing themselves via consensus decision
making and many levels of management, creating their own economy
by trading goods and services, creating income by offering many
educational programs like the one that I attended about how to start a
community/ecovillage, and by agreeing to live in harmony with Earth
and each other. After going into more detail about all these things and
the lifestyle, her one question was, “Do they allow Christianity at all?”
When I assured her that they allowed total religious freedom and that I
met a number of people who practiced a number of religions and she
was convinced it was not a commune, she admitted that it sounded very
ideal. She shared that it did sound like a good solution and direction for
people to go as things continue to collapse. And she was pleased that I
was involved in educating people about this way of life.
What I enjoyed most about this exchange was the dropping of
barriers between us and a better understanding of each other as a result.
Misunderstandings and misperceptions have been cleared up, and hurts
that were a result of those, have been healed. Once again, one of my
true heart’s desires has been fulfilled, not just in spite of the collapsing
economy, but because of it facilitating us finding our common ground.
I can see many other ways that current planetary conditions will
continue to lead us towards connecting more deeply with each other and

43 Spring 2009
supporting each other in meaningful ways. And isn’t that what his life
is really all about?
Yes, these increased plasma energies from the sun that the Hathors
are discussing through Tom Kenyon (you can read more on Tom’s
website www.tomkenyon.com) are now being measured by NASA
scientists. This is more solid evidence of Earth’s progressive evolution
and major shifts that are required in our systems to adapt. To me, this
particular development really brings home the aspect of the extreme
contrasts that are present on the planet today. When we choose positive
thoughts and keep our hearts and minds open to new possibilities, these
new energies accelerate our ascension process. If we choose negative
thoughts and focus on the doom and gloom scenarios coming from so
many sources, these energies will accelerate dissolution and decline.
As the Youngbloods sang in 1967 “…We hold the key to love and fear,
all in one trembling hand, just one key unlocks them both, it’s there at
your command…”

We are all longing to go home to some place we have never

been — a place half-remembered and half-envisioned
we can only catch glimpses of from time to time.
Community. Somewhere, there are people to whom we can
speak with passion without having the words catch in our
throats. Somewhere a circle of hands will open to receive
us, eyes will light up as we enter, voices will celebrate
with us whenever we come into our own power.
Community means strength that joins our
strength to do the work that needs to be done.
Arms to hold us when we falter. A circle of healing.
A circle of friends. Someplace where we can be free.

The Quester 44
ENHANCE YOUR LIFE WITH
COLOR, BREATH, AND
SOUND
By Mary “Mo” Wheeler

Color, Breath, and Sound (CBS) is a

technique co-created with Higher Power and
a group of people attending a meeting of the
Appalachian Chapter of the American Society of Dowsers in Asheville,
NC. The co-creating work was led by Mary “Mo” Wheeler, with the
assistance of Kate Pittman. Mo was giving a presentation called
Beyond Intuition: Co-creating with Higher Power, and this part of the
session was to be a demonstration of the principles she had talked
about. It turned out to be that…and much more! The group co-created
a technique that accomplishes four wonderful things:
• Sends out the unconditional love of the dolphins
• Neutralizes toxins in your environment
• Amplifies (x 10) your intentions by expanding and balancing your
biofield, and
• Doubles the power of your field.
CBS can be used before meditation or prayer, before going to sleep,
before a session with a client, before starting your day, or after clearing
interference. Mo has included it on her “Where Do I Start?” dowsing
chart and is guided to use it 2-3 times a day. Barbara Mallory, Ph.D., a
dowser, healer, and long-time member of Questers said, “It’s like the
difference between a fine but natural and uncut diamond and the same
diamond, cut and polished, which is then able to refract light with
greater precision (clarity) and power.”
Here is the technique we co-created (as it was later fine-tuned by
Mo). It seems complicated at first, but with a little practice it is quite
easy to do—and accomplishes so much!
Step 1. First Breath. Fill your lungs with a deep breath and tone the
guh sound in as low a tone as you can until you completely empty your
lungs. According to Barbara Mallory, the low frequencies of guh help
us to center and ground to the Earth. This tone balances our first
chakra.
Step 2. Second Breath. Step 2 has two parts (a and b) but involves
only one breath:
a) First Part of Second Breath. Visualize the color blue while making

45 Spring 2009
an L sound (L as in LMNOP), with your tongue touching the roof of
your mouth, just behind your teeth. This is done in about middle range
on the scale. Your lips will be slightly parted and the corners of your
mouth pulled back slightly. Do not empty your lungs, but save some
breath for the next part. You will be using 90% of the breath on the L.
Don’t slur into the next sound, but stop the L suddenly, and then drop
down to do part b).
Frequencies in the blue range invite healing. In Light Language, a
Mayan-Aztec healing modality, blue represents communication, re-
vitalization, relaxation and flow. Mo is sometimes guided to substitute
iridescence for blue. Iridescence is all eleven dimensions.
Barbara suggested that the L may facilitate access to “the God
module” or “God Spot” in the right temporal lobe, an area of the brain
that “may be hard-wired to hear the voice of heaven, according to some
brave University of California neuroscientists. (ref: Where God Lives
by Melvin Morse, MD)” (B. Mallory, personal communication, Sept.
20, 2005)
The tongue on the roof of the mouth is used in the “Overenergy
Correction,” also called “Cook’s Hook Up.” (This useful technique can
be found in Energy Psychology (1999), by Fred P. Gallo.) The roof of
the mouth is a powerful treatment point because it is the last
acupuncture point on the Governing Vessel, the meridian that runs from
the coccyx to the roof of the mouth. This meridian shares properties
with what Donna Eden calls strange flows (Energy Medicine, 1998) and
in later writing refers to as “radiant circuits.” Governing Vessel not
only follows its pathway as a meridian, but is able to jump around to
help out other meridians. It is related to our connection to the
environment and helps filter the energies coming in.
b) Second Part of Second Breath. Visualize the color purple while
you make the sound of “mmm.” There may be tingling around your
lips. This should be in a very low tone, and is the end of the breath in
part a). The tongue drops to its normal position during the mmm sound.
CBS invites our concentrated attention on three things at once: color,
breath, and sound. Barbara noted that any time attention is highly
focused in this way, a person is in a light trance state that promotes
relaxation and suspension of our critical mind, thus facilitating our
openness to co-creating with Higher Power.
You should be aware that during the first 27 days of use, your body
may need to make some adjustments to this new expanded state.
However, adaptations will occur automatically as some of your cells
signal others in order to teach them about how to balance the energy
within your system.

The Quester 46
We extend our appreciation to Kate, Barbara, and all the individuals
who attended this group experience and lent their energies to the task
we accomplished. We not only demonstrated the use of dowsing as a
tool to connect with Higher Power, but we also co-created a very useful
technique.

Things Aren’t Always As They Appear

A WOMAN was flying from Seattle to San Francisco.
Unexpectedly, the plane was diverted to Sacramento along the way.
The flight attendant explained that there would be a delay, and if
the passengers wanted to get off the aircraft the plane would re-
board in 50 minutes.
Everybody got off the plane except one lady who was blind. The
man had noticed her as he walked by and could tell the lady was
blind because her Seeing Eye dog lay
quietly underneath the seats in front of
her throughout the entire flight.
He could also tell she had flown this
very flight before because the pilot
approached her, and calling her by
name, said, "Kathy, we are in Sacramento
for almost an hour. Would you like to get
off and stretch your legs?"
The blind lady replied, "No thanks, but
maybe Buddy would like to stretch his
legs."
Picture this:
All the people in the gate area came to a complete standstill
when they looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane with a
Seeing Eye dog! The pilot was even wearing sunglasses. People
scattered. They not only tried to change planes, but they were trying
to change airlines! True story...
Have a great day and remember...
THINGS AREN'T ALWAYS AS THEY APPEAR.

We saw it on the television just before Christmas.

On 'The Hour' program, George
Strombolopoulous interviewed Malcolm Gladwell
on his new book Outliers. - that word kept eluding me. It is not in my
1984 version of Webster's Dictionary! In the interview the author, an
elfin-like being, mentioned some research done on the most famous ice
hockey players. Their birthdays mysteriously being in the first two or
three months of the year! Having devoured his two other books, The
Tipping Point and blink, it was a given that Outliers was going to be a
must-read for me. I love to get to the depth of reasoning about an issue!
I gave myself the book as a Christmas gift as it was only available in
hard copy and was an extravagance!
Dedicated to Gladwell's mother Daisy Nation, who was a Jamaican
School Teacher, this book as with his others, puts forward worldwide
researched information. This one has confounding explanations for and
exposes the seemingly hidden reasons for the success of some
remarkable people.
Firstly, that title word:-out-li-er noun.
1: something that is situated away from or classed differently from a
main or related body.
2: a statistical observation that is markedly different in value from the
others of the sample.
I found this book contains so much information with huge scope for
doing your own research. This book is classified as 'Business'!
'Practice makes perfect' is an old adage. How about 10,000 hours of
practice for starters? I learned from early in the book that this is how
the Beatles and Bill Gates 'honed their craft' as youngsters. Born with a
'silver spoon in your mouth' with an 'eye level' IQ? So what! If you are
a lazy bum and cut corners.......... Success is not inherited!
To elaborate on the meritocracy of Ice Hockey. Can anyone be a
world class hockey player if they work hard enough, have some talent
and the desire? To be in the big leagues you have to be at the front of

The Quester 48
the pack from the start, at the rink on time, as physically mature as
possible and have the practice and skills and ice hours in by the time the
scouts hit town. The right age certainly matters when you think of the
difference in an ‘old’ three year old in preschool born in January and a
‘young one’ born in November or December that year. When do kids
start being taken to the rink? When is the cutoff date of each intake? In
games practised on a formal pitch or private facility, this skews the
ability of players to birth date distribution, of course towards the most
mature players age wise, not to mention the dedication of the parents.
Gladwell points out that games like Basketball can be practiced in the
backyard, school ground etc., so in this game there is more of a level
playing field, so to speak. Following this logic and also in practice,
wouldn’t it be truly fair if schools and sports programs had several
intakes a year so that the youngest children in our societal groupings are
not clobbered with labels from an early age,
get discouraged and locked into patterns of
under-achievement, reflecting on the rest of
their life and careers. Or of course family
planning should include having optimal babies
- those conceived in the late Spring! Shades of
1984. Sorry, my warped sense of humour!
Children graduate at the same time, why not
enter school at the same age as their peers
when a few months makes so much difference
in maturity.
Still in the field of education Gladwell talks
about the KIPP schools that started in the
poorest Bronx areas and succeeds in giving all
the children enrolled (by a lottery system) opportunities to learn and
enjoy the benefits of a college education. I googled ‘Knowledge is
Power Program’ and learned more. Also we learn in Outliers that a
very logical reason for Asian children to shine at math is their
numbering system is quick to say and works several times faster in
mental arithmetic and for memorizing number sequences than ours,
e.g. ‘ten-one = eleven, ten-two = twelve, two tens-four=twenty four’.
Try it yourself and add 37+22 in your head. Then think three tens-
seven plus two tens two=? Who invented the English language number
naming anyway!?
In January there was a news program about hospitals who have
adopted a pre-op. checklist used just before operations in Surgical ORs,
like they use preflight in the cockpit of all airplanes, that has increased
the success rate of surgical recovery. I had just read in Outliers how the
Dutch psychologist Geert Hofstede had developed a data base of scales

49 Spring 2009
to show how the different cultures differ from one another. There is an
“individualism-collectivism” scale, an “uncertainty avoidance” scale
and “Power Distance Index”(PDI). One of the examples described the
PDI index of airline pilots from certain countries which had poor
records for air crashes! Since then air crews have undergone training to
exclude ambiguous speech in the cockpit. To ensure that a problem is
handled immediately and not blamed on communication breakdowns in
the cockpit and from the control tower. Like - “Fuel tank empty, bring
me down now!” How about in the Operating Room - Nurse to Surgeon.
“Sir your glove has split!” International Airline Regulations have
English-only spoken in the cockpit. Crews call each other by first
names and I guess there isn't much deferential behaviour in the cockpit
anymore! Makes flying and having surgery a little less of white
knuckle experiences.
Not to tell all, as I hope people will find and read it for themselves,
but a chapter about The Culture of Honour hit home for me too. How
the immigration of different cultures in the world came together but
often stayed in their area and maintained their differences over
centuries. This created the ‘regional divides’ in the United States that
still exist. The Appalachians were an example in Outliers.

'Settled by people from the borderlands of Scotland/England and

Ireland. Clannish herdsmen who scraped out a living on rocky and
infertile land. They came to marginally fertile places like Harlan that
allowed them to reproduce in the New World the culture of honor they
had created in the Old World...... you can't farm, the herdsman is off by
himself. He has to worry about his herd being stolen, he has to be
aggressive, he has to make it clear that he is not weak... He has to be
willing to fight in response to the slightest challenge to his reputation -
and that's what “a culture of honor” means. It's a world where a man's
reputation is at the center of his livelihood and self-worth'.

No this knowledge was not discovered in a blink but combined with

the Tipping Point, Outlier's stories of success can help us to unravel and
respect the progress we can make to live in Unity Consciousness.
Thank you Malcolm Gladwell!

DOWSING and the HUMAN
SOULAR COMPLEX
By Steven G. Herbert

In modern Western society, the nature of

the human soul itself is little discussed, while
in religious contexts its fate after death gets
far more attention. Implicitly, it is thought of
as something one has, a singularity; with a
white luster, though spotted according to the
degree we have sinned. This Christian unitary
soul is roughly equivalent to the personality
of its owner, facing an eternal post-existence,
either in heaven or hell. It is conceived as having a separate existence
from the Creator.
Fortunately, such conceptual poverty has not been the norm over the
rest of the world, or even over time within Christianity or its Judaic
roots. In fact, for most of the rest of the world, the soul is what you are,
not what you have, and is conceived as a multiplicity, not a singularity
Cross-cultural analysis of these concepts reveals a core-reality about the
human soular complex as having a four-fold nature. A number of
traditions typifying this core-reality portray a more accurate and
realistic conception.
People all over the world, western society included, reflect their
concepts of soul in religious belief, world view, and concepts of self.
Beliefs about the soul are mirrored within a culture’s cosmology,
mythology and folklore. Soul concepts are intimately related to their
ideas about demonology, the divine pantheon, and relations with the
spirit world in general. Concepts of soular nature are inseparable from a
people's eschatology and belief about the afterlife.
In indigenous cultures and where cultures have continued to rely on
their esoteric traditions, concepts of souls tend to be much more
sophisticated. What each soul does during sleep and the dream state, for
example, may be of as much concern as its after-death fate. Soul
travels, during life or after-death, are necessarily paired with the
cultures psychic and spiritual cosmography and the gods or demons
who rule those realms. The anatomy of the soular complex is
concomitant with the process of shamanic initiation and vocation in
such societies. Possession belief and experience is also a reliable
reflection of concepts of soul. Furthermore, a culture's etiology of
illness often reveals the close connection between soular functioning
and bodily health.

51 Spring 2009
The various types of souls which compose the totality of the human
soular complex can be described and distinguished by a number of
characteristics. These include relative mortality or immortality, nature,
function, lifespan, degree of divisibility, degree of resemblance to the
bodily form, degree of autonomy or mobility, where it resides, its fate
after death, what it is composed of, its origin, its cultural
programmability, susceptibility to witchcraft, or whether it is inherent
or acquired. The number of souls which are attributed to a human being
can range anywhere from the single occidental personality soul to the
thirty souls described by the Laotians.
Multiplicity of souls is a concept far more widespread over time and
space than that of the unitary soul, and for those that hold that concept it
is a practical reality, not merely a
doctrinal belief. Each of the Laotians
thirty souls, for example, resides in its In shamanism, the
own area of the body, maintaining layers of the
health. Similarly, the East Greenland Cosmos mirror the
Ammassalik Eskimo believed that
souls inhabited every part of the body,

lost through sorcery, trauma, or the
breaking of a taboo. It was the
shaman's job to search for and retrieve the lost soul, thus restoring
health.
In addition to souls which are inherent in the soular complex, other
types can be acquired during a person's life. Among the Netsilik
Eskimos of Canada, for example, a person could possess up to twelve
or more name souls, which functioned as guardian spirits. The Otomi of
Mesoamerica describe an additional soul called rogi, which consists of
a person's collective animal allies. Also, portions of a soul may be
conceived as autonomous units, such as power, shadow, dreaming or
fate souls.
Soular constructs such as these tend to be empirically derived from
esoteric experience, rather than exoteric doctrine. Far from being purely
mythological, for shamans, these souls and their respective realms
represent an actual shared consensus reality. In shamanism, the layers
of the Cosmos mirror the layers of the psyche. In other words,
macrocosm reflects microcosm. The various souls can be ordered into
lower and higher, and whether it be the shamanic World tree, Cosmic
Mountain, or Jacob's Ladder (Gen. 28:10-22) with angels ascending and
descending, these all represent the hierarchical layers we can aspire to

The Quester 52
use to rise through and actualize. Even the lowest soul always has a
direct connection to the highest heaven.
Even though great variation can be seen conceptually across
cultures, comparative analysis does show certain common
denominators, and soul types tend to fall into distinct categories. The
consistency of these groupings tends to suggest a ‘core reality’ about
soular nature. Cross-cultural comparison also implies a predictable
evolutionary progression in the way cultures progress in their
realization of their soular nature. From the most evolved
conceptualizations emerges a consensus of the human soular complex
as a partnership of four basic soul types. These four souls we shall call
the life force soul, the human soul, the human-divine soul, and the
Divine soul.
The life force or vital soul, is common to all living things. We may
also call it the animal soul, as it is the animating force which
distinguishes a thing as living from dead or inanimate. The word
‘animal’ derives from the Latin ‘anima’ which means ‘breath’, or that
which distinguishes ‘animate’ from ‘inanimate’. The ancient Hebrews
called this life force soul ‘nephesh’ (‘psuche’ in the Greek), which is
described in several biblical passages (Gen. 2:7&19, 3:19 and Eccles.
3:19-20). This soul is born with the body and dies with it.
That which composes the life force soul is referred to in the Bible as
‘dust’. The Chinese understood this analogy between life force and
‘dust,’ as ch'i and ling. Undifferentiated energetic particles called ‘ling’
are taken from the atmosphere to become differentiated ‘ch'i’, vitalizing
our bodies during life and returning to ling after death. Like matter and
energy, ling and ch'i can neither be created or destroyed. It just changes
form. Each particle of ch'i composing your body could once have been
a butterfly or a begonia, a dinosaur or a daffodil, a rhinoceros or a
rhododendrum.
In Don Juan's teachings to Carlos Casteneda, he distinguished two
aspects of this level which he called the human mold and the human
form. The human form he said was more like a force, but needed the
mold to know how to take a particular shape. This mold may well
correspond to what Rupert Sheldrake refers to as the morphogenetic
field, a psychic inheritance from the species that directs cells in how to
develop and build into its particular body form. The vital soul is known
to closely resemble the physical body. An adept sorcerer or shape-
shifter, Don Juan said, knew how to temporarily lose the mold,
disassemble his form and reassemble it in any other form he chose.
The life force soul resides permanently in the body. It cannot leave
without death resulting. It is also highly susceptible to witchcraft. A

53 Spring 2009
witch might steal all or part of the vital soul and ‘eat it’ for example, to
increase his or her own life force at the expense of that individual. If the
vital soul is stolen completely, the individual dies. If part is taken, the
person experiences weakness or illness in that corresponding part of the
body. It is the remaining presence of the corresponding part of the vital
soul that explains the ‘phantom limb,’ phenomenon.
The next highest soul is what distinguishes humans from animals,
and was called by the ancient Hebrews `ruach' (‘pneuma' in the Greek)
meaning ‘wind’ or ‘spirit,’ (Zech 12:1, Job 32:8&18). Here we will call
it the ‘human soul’. Yet, this soul had only a quasi-immortality at best.
After death it was understood to be ‘recycled’ (in the sense of being
reincarnated) or re-immersed back into the spirit of God. “Then shall
the dust return to the earth as it was; and the spirit shall then return unto
God who gave it. Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.”
(Ecc. 12:7-8).
If the vital soul is composed of ch'i
particles, then the human soul must In addition, the
also be composed of some similar human soul it
material, as it also is born with the seems is made of a
body. Don Juan said he could always
tell a person who has had a child, combination of the

tell how many children a person has
had by how much was missing. Thus it
appears that not only does a person generally inherit physical
characteristics, but also comes in with a combination of psychic
inheritance from the parents. In addition, the human soul it seems is
made of a combination of the elements; air, fire, water and earth. The
relative amounts of these elements composing the human soul would
seem to be determined by astrology and set at birth.
The disintegration process experienced in dying described by the
Bardo Thodol (Tibetan Book of the Dead) outlines a variety of sounds
and sensations corresponding to these elements and always in a
predictable order. Evans Wentz's footnote on the three chief symptoms
of death are described as 1) a bodily sensation of pressure ‘earth sinking
into water’; 2) a bodily sensation of clammy coldness as though the
body were immersed in water, which gradually merges into that of a
feverish heat ‘water sinking into fire’; 3) a feeling as though the body
were being blown to atoms, ‘fire sinking into air…’. When later the
Bardo Thodol again alludes to the sounds of the elements heard at
death, Evans-Wentz footnotes as explanation: “in the Six Doctrines, a
treatise on the practical application of various yogas… If one findeth

The Quester 54
not the Path during the Second Bardo (i.e. during the Chonyid Bardo)
then four sounds called ‘awe inspiring sounds’ (are heard): from the
vital force of the earth-element, a sound like the tumbling down of a
mountain; waves: from the vital force of the water element, a sound like
the breaking of storm-tossed ocean waves: from the vital force of the
fire element, a sound as of a jungle afire; from the vital force of the air
element, a sound like the thousand thunders reverberating
simultaneously.” Therein are described the psychic resultants of the
disintegrating process called death as affecting the four grosser
elements composing the human body aggregate.
Nowhere else other than the modern Western concept is the
phenomenal soul understood to survive death for very long. Don Juan
described this level as the ‘tonal’, which is the social person, the
“organizer of the world”, our enculturation, the center of reason, a
description of the world inherited from our culture. It has two sides, an
outer corresponding to the male active role and an inner softer side
corresponding to the female passive side. It begins at birth, he said, and
ends at death. “As soon as the force of life leaves the body, all those
single awarenesses disintegrate and go back again to where they came
from, the nagual". Don Juan described human beings as being
composed of many layers of luminosity which death pushes apart.
The Jivaro of the Amazon describe the disintegration process as
follows. After death, the deceased repeats his life in the next realm as a
human demon. At this time it changes into a true demon. It roams
lonely and hungry, until after a span of years equivalent to another
human lifetime it dies. Next it changes into a certain species of giant
butterfly or moth, also existing in perpetual hunger until it dies of
natural causes. Finally it changes into water vapor among fog and
clouds. These are common themes worldwide of perpetual hunger and
gradual and inevitable depersonalization.
In Haitian voodoo, the life force soul is called the n'ame, which,
similar to the Hebrew nephesh, is believed to come from dust and return
to dust. The human soul is called the gros-bon-ange, or “good big
angel”. This is the aspect which is temporarily displaced when the loa
possesses the individual, and also the aspect which is evicted to produce
the zombie. By the vodoun ceremony of Wete Mo Nan, the family of
the deceased have a way to extend the life of their loved one. After the
gros-bon-ange has spent a year and a day in the "dark abysmal waters",
it is reclaimed by the living and housed in a clay jar called a govi. In
this state, this soul may eventually achieve the status of a loa, a voodoo
deity. In other words, it may become an archetype representing some
quality the deceased was most noted for. But as time goes on and the
family members that knew him also pass on, this evolving loa becomes

55 Spring 2009
more depersonalized, and more an abstract essence of the aspect that
characterized him. Effectively, he becomes distilled of his personality.
All of this illustrates how men create gods, but still, such gods must be
fed with the attention and offerings of the living to remain extant.
In addition to a slightly longer potential lifespan than the life force
soul, there are other characteristics that define the human soul. It also is
divisible and may fracture, with pieces that become lost that the shaman
must retrieve. Also like the vital soul, the human soul is highly
susceptible to witchcraft. But unlike the life force soul, the human soul
can leave the body, as in the dream state, for example. However, it must
remain attached to the body by the “silver cord” as described in the
eastern traditions, for if this is severed the body dies. The African Ga
people also recognize this necessary
link, saying the susma soul must stay
connected by an “invisible cobweb”. Healing at the soular

recognizable core reality of soul
types is that to some degree the
lower souls have a certain degree of flexibility in the form they take. In
other words, to some extent they are culturally programmable and
assume a form consistent with the belief of the culture.
The third type of soul recognized in a core reality is a combination
of human and divine. The ancient Hebrews called this the “neshamah”.
It was referred to as the “son of God”! as opposed to the ruach or
human soul, which was known as the “son of man”. This, the first of the
higher souls, could partially inhabit the body or would come and go. It
did not resemble the human form, was not susceptible to witchcraft, and
came close to immortality. The life span of the human-divine soul
extended only until the individual no longer needed to reincarnate on
the Earth.
The fourth aspect and highest soul is the divine spark, the truly
immortal component and the true self of the individual. It does not
incarnate with the individual and does not immerse itself in our
universe of time and space. Instead, it incarnates by the process of
emanationalism. Extending first the human-divine soul into creation,
then the human soul into a particular incarnation, and finally into the
vitalized human body.
The higher souls are what Don Juan referred to as the realm of the
nagual. The nagual is the formless realm, as opposed to the tonal which

The Quester 56
is the world of form, and “everything that can be named”. He described
these as “the two inherent realms of all creation”. This corresponds
exactly to the Buddhistic “two poles of consciousness”, Nirvana and
Sangsara , Reality vs. the phenomenal world. In turn, this mirrors the
Kabbalistic Void vs. the world of form. It might surprise some that
Buddhist cosmography contains a heaven and a hell, but these are
understood to be not a part of Nirvana, but still part of the realm of
Sangsara. Nirvana is beyond all phenomena and can only be
understood through direct experience of it.
The four souls of the ancient Hebrews correspond directly with the
Kabbalistic Four Worlds of Creation. These are, from highest to lowest,
the Azilut World of Emanation, the Beriah World of Creation, the
Yezirah World of Formation and the Asiyyah World of Action. These
worlds can also be described respectively as formless but potential,
formal/individualized but not manifest, manifest but not embodied, and
embodied. Divinity, spirit and soul inhabiting the vitalized body were
referred to as the triune nature of the soul by the Gnostic Christians,
who also recognized karma and reincarnation as did the early Hebrews.
In the Bardo Thodol (Tibetan Book of the Dead) the human soular
complex is described as the five “sheaths”. The physical body is
included as the first. Then there is the vital sheath, which is composed
of “prana”. Embodied within the vitalized physical form is next the
sheath of ordinary human consciousness. Next up the Cosmic Ladder is
the subconscious sheath, followed lastly by the Absolute, true Reality,
or the Knower. This book describes the death process in intimate detail
as being composed of three stages or “bardos” which would seem to
correspond with the three impermanent souls below the Knower.
In Haitian voodoo, the embodied soul has five aspects also, because
the corps cadaver is listed first. The n'ame and gros-bon-ange (life
force and human souls) already discussed, are added to the higher souls
of ti-bon-ange (little good angel) and z'etoile (star). In Tamang
shamanism of Nepal, the three upper souls are called sem chang, yidam
bhla and che wa. Among orthodox Hindus, the Laws of Manu call the
life force soul kshetrajna or jivatman, the human soul mahat and the
higher souls are considered as one.
Knowledge of the four-fold nature of the human soular complex has
an intrinsic value in and of itself. But that knowledge also has practical
value for our personal lives and our society. Healing at the soular level
can insure better physical health and mental emotional well being.
Psychological problems can be more accurately diagnosed and properly
treated with understanding of soular anatomy. Insight into social
problems such as crime, violence and abuse may be increased when

57 Spring 2009
approached as individual or collective soular dysfunction. Hospice
volunteers can more compassionately guide the dying to the other side.
Theological debate can be settled when soular science belies doctrinal
fabrications. The abortion debate can be better resolved understanding
that the soular complex builds over time. And legal issues such as
animal rights can be better addressed knowing that all living things
have souls.
Dowsers generally have a more esoteric bend then the mainstream,
but even so, their world view has also been limited by inherited,
impoverished conceptualizations of the soul. The concept, for example,
of the soul jumping from one body to the next, gradually “evolving,”
upwardly through consecutive
lifetimes, no longer makes sense
with a truer understanding of Typically we are given
soular nature. The higher souls the opportunity to

its perspective live all lifetimes at

Light Side or the Dark Side in
whatever time period is most
appropriate. The concept of a “last lifetime” is meaningless. Such
spiritual competition only feeds the illusion of our separation.
Ascension is possible in any lifetime.
Typically we are given the opportunity to take a step toward
ascension many times a day. And the forked stick of the dowser is a
great symbol of that. In the given situation do we take the high road or
the low road, the directions of love or that of fear, the path of good or
the path of evil, the way of the integrity or the way of rationalization,
the difficult choice or the easy choice. Do we choose to remain
unconscious and in denial of our responsibility, thereby causing hurt to
others in our avoidance of our own shadow, or do we take the challenge
of the mantle of true courage.
In following proper procedure, a dowser would begin any dowsing
session by insuring he or she is a clear channel to Spirit, inquiring
whether this connection is to the Highest and Purest Light, and
determining the identity of the Source of the information. We might
find our answers coming from our spirit guides, guardian angels,
helping spirits, or Higher Self. The preceding study shows us the
Higher or Greater Self is not synonymous with the Divine Self. The
former is the human-divine soul and the latter is the purely Divine soul.

The Quester 58
When the Divine Self finally presents itself to answer questions, one
knows one has achieved a higher level.
Having a clearer picture of reincarnation, soular evolution, and the
ascension process is just one of the many advantages specifically to the
dowser of knowing the four-fold nature of the soul. Those dowsing the
spiritual aspects of personal problems have a better direction as to
where to find root causes. Psychic protection can be more efficiently
installed with this knowledge. The process of enlightenment can be
better guided with understanding of the Cosmic Ladder. Healing of our
ego personality and discovery of our true self (human soul) must occur
before discovery of our true purpose or true love is possible, and before
reunion with the True Self (Higher Souls) in full intention and
consciousness can be achieved.
Conceptualization of the human spiritual aspect has devolved in the
Western “developed” world to a unitary personality soul disconnected
from God, which seeks refuge in or escape from an afterlife in heaven
or hell. This devolution has occurred since the ancient Hebrews concept
of the human soular complex as being four-fold and hierarchical. In
many other traditions over the world and over time is reflected the same
core reality of the human spiritual aspects as consisting of Divinity,
Spirit, Soul, and Vitalized Body. Here this has been illustrated with
concepts of the Gnostics, sorcery of Don Juan, Haitian voodoo, the
Buddhist Bardo Thodol, orthodox Hindus and Tamang Nepalese
shamanism, in addition to the ancient Hebrews. This knowledge can
reverse the conceptual poverty of the western World in the realm of
spirituality. At the same time it can have practical value in psychology,
social evolution, hospice, medicine, scholastics, theology and law. But
most of all is the value a realistic and more accurate view of soular
nature has for dowsing and personal growth, and as a guide for
climbing the Cosmic Ladder.
