introduction
intelligence, reason and emotion all play important roles in our day to day decision making
process and have a significant effect in our personal as well as professional life.
intelligence refers to the ablity to learn, understand, and apply knowledge. it involves cognitive
abilities such as recognising, problem solving and critical thinking
reasoning involves ability to think logically and make deduction based on information. it involves
coming to a conclusion based on strong arguements and evidence
emotions refers to the feelings and moods that we experience in respose to different situations
overall intelligence, reasons, and emotions are all important components of emotional
functioning and play an important role in our professonal and personal life.
                                but cultivating all three of these qualities we develop a well
rounded approach to decision making and problem solving and navigate the problem of life
more effectively.
discernment: what is the right thing to do
discernment is the ability to make wise decisions and careful judgements about what is the right
thing to do in a particular situation.
it involves combination of critical thinkings, intuition, and ethical values.
here are some key judgements that helps us to cultivate discernment and make wise decisions:

in order to make an informed decision it is important to gather as much info as possible about
the situation
it involves doing research, talking to others who were involved and seeking advice from experts.

in order to make an informed decision our ethical values can provide guidance in making

destructive emotions are those that cause harm to others physically and emotionally. eg anger,
jealousy, hatred
these emotions can lead to conflict stress and even violence and can have adverse effect on our
mental and physican health
constructive emotionsare those that promote well being and positive outcomes. it includes love,
compassion empathy joy etc.these emotions can lead to +ve relationships increased happiness
and also improves physical and mental health.
here are some strategies for dealing with destructive emotions:
1. identify the source of emotion
understanding the source of emotion through which a particular emotion is coming in your mind.
it is certainly a result of particular situation
2. practice mindfulness
mindfulness involves being present in a moment and observing your thoughts and emotions

constructive emotions.

behaviour that provides better well being
