DEACTIVATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER SYSTEM FOR FLIGHT.
AMM 78-30-00-040-013 - Flowchart Pre SBE 73-0222.
Deactivate the T/R HCU with the storage
lockout pin that is attached to the HCU.
Move the translating sleeve forward until one or the two
actuator rod ends can be put in the mounting brackets.
If only one rod end can be put in the mounting bracket,
Close the fan cowls. the other one must be adjusted.
Measure the distance between the translating
sleeve leading edge and the fan cowl aft edge.
Open the fan cowls and manually
move the translating sleeves to the YES
fully retracted position.
Is the distance Is the translating
within the tolerance? NO sleeve in the fully NO
retracted position?
YES
-Remove the plug from the lockout assembly on the outside of each translating sleeve.
-Remove the lockout pin from the pin stowage bracket assembly on the outside of each translating sleeve.
-Clean the plug and the lockout pin.
Install the lockout pin in the lockout assembly.
Is the lockout pin Do a check of the rigging of the translating sleeve actuators.

lockout assembly? SUBTASK 78-30-00-820-052-A.
YES
Install the plug in the pin stowage bracket assembly of each translating sleeve.
Do an operational test of the LVDTs to be sure that they operate correctly on the deactivated thrust reverser.
Check for the ECAM warnings.
