NOTIFICATION
In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 8 of the
Factories Act 1948 (central Act LXIII of 1948) and sub-section (3) of Section 42 of
Building and other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Service
Conditions) Act 1996 and in supersession of the notifications issued on behalf of the
said Acts, the Government of Karnataka hereby appoints the officers specified in
column (2) of the table below to be the inspectors for the purpose of the Factories Act,
1948 and Sections 38,39 & 40 of Building and other Construction Workers
(Regulation of Employment and Service Conditions) Act 1996 and Rules 50 to 251 of
¨sÁUÀ 4J , , 31 , 2021 1367

Building and other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Service

Conditions) Karnataka Rules, 2006 for the Building & other construction projects of
the cost exceeding Rs. 25 Crores and has assigned the limits specified in the
corresponding column (3) thereof as the local limits within which each officer shall
exercise the powers and performs the duties bestowed on them under this Acts with
immediate effect and until further orders.
