Evidence of Learning

Incorporating digital technology into education has brought about a revolution in learning
methods, transforming the conventional classroom into an interactive and dynamic
environment. This technology offers a range of benefits, including personalization,
collaboration, multimedia content, flexible usage, and assessment, which can enhance the
overall learning experience.
Digital technology has transformed teaching and learning in numerous ways, creating a more
dynamic and interactive classroom environment. Educators can use digital technology to
deliver content in a variety of formats, such as videos, podcasts, and interactive games, that
are more engaging and accessible to students. Digital technology can also facilitate
personalized learning, allowing teachers to tailor instruction to meet the individual needs of
each student.Online learning platforms, such as Moodle and Canvas, have revolutionized the
way coursework is delivered, making it more flexible and convenient. These platforms enable
teachers to create interactive lessons, quizzes, and assessments that can be accessed by
students anytime and anywhere.

Digital technology has also opened up new avenues for collaboration and communication
between students and teachers. Video conferencing tools like Zoom and Google Meet make it
easy to hold virtual class discussions and office hours, regardless of location. Social media
platforms like Twitter and Facebook can also be used to connect with students and promote
discussion outside the classroom.

Furthermore, digital technology has made it easier for educators to monitor student progress
and provide feedback. Learning management systems (LMS) allow teachers to track student
engagement and performance, while digital assessment tools like Kahoot and Quizlet make it
easy to create and grade assessments.

There are several digital tools available that can be used to teach and learn about Operating
Systems.

Teaching aids such as PowerPoint slideshows and interactive whiteboards have become
essential tools for modern educators. PowerPoint is a software application developed by
Microsoft that enables users to create multimedia presentations that incorporate visual,
audio, and audio-visual elements. It is widely used in classrooms as a means of enhancing
collaboration and content sharing. Interactive whiteboards, on the other hand, are interactive
displays that allow teachers to display content, annotate documents, and create engaging
multimedia presentations. These cutting-edge teaching tools have revolutionized the way
educators teach and students learn:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACsLvXuaKxw&t=52s

Demonstration - Cloud9: This is a popular online IDE that allows you to create virtual
machines in the cloud and access them from your browser. It supports a variety of
programming languages and provides tools for debugging, testing, and deploying your
applications. https://cloud9.gg/home/
Content sharing - Our Institution offers access to two different online learning platforms for
students. QUIKLRN APP Learning Management Systems (LMS) is used to manage course
content, assignments, and assessments, providing a centralized platform for students to access
course materials, collaborate with classmates, and submit assignments. In addition to this, our
Institution also uses Google Classroom as a virtual classroom environment where students
can attend live lectures, participate in discussions, and ask questions in real-time..

Assessment - Applications such as Quizlet and Kahoot grab the students to take up the quiz as
it provides an interactive platform by providing many rewards and comments, as well as it is
useful to promote/assess if learning has taken place. An application -profprof, encourage the
students to attempt the quiz by rewarding e-certificate. https://www.proprofs.com/quiz-school/story.php?

Digital technology offers several benefits in the teaching perspective, including:

1. Increased engagement: Digital technology provides interactive and multimedia

content that is more engaging than traditional teaching methods, leading to increased
student engagement and interest in the subject matter.
2. Improved efficiency: Digital tools such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) and
online collaboration tools can help teachers to manage their workload more
efficiently, by automating tasks such as grading and providing a centralized platform
for course content and communication.
3. Personalized learning: Digital tools can be used to personalize learning experiences
for students, by providing individualized content and assessments that are tailored to
their learning needs and abilities.
4. Access to information: Digital technology provides teachers with access to a wealth of
information and resources, which can be used to enhance their teaching and provide
students with a more comprehensive learning experience.
5. Enhanced assessment: Digital technology provides new and innovative ways to assess
student learning, including online quizzes and assessments, interactive simulations,
and adaptive learning software.
6. Improved communication: Digital technology enables teachers to communicate with
students and parents more efficiently and effectively through online platforms such as
email, messaging apps, and video conferencing.

Digital technology offers several benefits in the learning perspective, including:

1. Increased flexibility: Digital technology allows students to access course materials

and complete assignments at their own pace and on their own schedule, providing
increased flexibility for those with busy schedules or other commitments.
2. Improved collaboration: Digital technology can facilitate collaboration between
students and teachers, allowing for real-time communication, feedback, and
interaction.
3. Enhanced learning experience: Digital tools such as educational apps and online
simulations can provide a more interactive and immersive learning experience, which
can help students to better understand and retain information.
4. Access to a global community: Digital technology provides students with access to a
global community of learners, allowing them to connect with others from around the
world and share ideas and perspectives.
5. Personalized learning: Digital tools can be used to personalize learning experiences
for students, by providing individualized content and assessments that are tailored to
their learning needs and abilities.
6. Improved accessibility: Digital technology can provide access to education for
students who may not have had access otherwise due to geographic or financial
barriers.

While observing the experienced Professor, I witnessed firsthand how digital technology was
effectively utilized to streamline the teaching/learning process. Specifically, my mentor
provide handson session to students for model implementation in colab with online kaggle
dataset to promote active listening skills, followed by visualisation in powerBI .Then a short-
open quiz was conducted in Quizz online to facilitate a discussion on the key takeaways from
class discussions. By leveraging the power of available digital tools, the teaching process was
made more straightforward and efficient, and the learning experience was made more
engaging and interactive through various activities.

Digital technology has the potential to make a significant impact on both teaching and
learning, by opening up new avenues for engagement, collaboration, and personalization.
This, in turn, can lead to a more enriching and enhanced learning experience for students,
allowing them to explore and understand complex concepts in a more interactive and
immersive manner.
