• All participants must be students who are currently enrolled at
NICMAR University, Pune.
• All the students are encouraged to participate in all the events
in high numbers. Having said that, withdrawal from
participation due to absence from the event will result in the
deduction of points from the group score.
• Participation in all events will be at the discretion of the
group/participant.
• The winner’s title will be awarded to the group with the
maximum collective score.
• The Student Council 2023-24 reserves all rights to disqualify
any group/participant in case of any misdemeanor.
• Strict action will be taken against any participant/group
found defaming the university.
• Any participants who want to register for the selection process
of Student Council 2023-24 must participate in at least a total
of 4 events from all the events.
• A participant must not participate in more than 2 events of the
same domain. Participating in more than 2 events of the same
domain shall lead to a deduction of 50 points from the group’s
score.
• In each team event, only a single entry is permitted, unless
specified.
• In case of live events, the mentors and participant students must
arrive at the venue 10 minutes before the scheduled time as per
instructions.
• Delay shall lead to the disqualification of the group from the
event.
• The Student Council 2023-24 will not be liable for any issues
related to network connectivity. No appeals will be entertained
in this regard.

• The mentors will be responsible for all the submissions that will
be uploaded on the Google Form link provided to them.
• In case of any discrepancy in the submissions, the mentors of the
group will be solely responsible.
• For any queries beyond the scope of this rule book, the mentors
of the group are requested to direct their questions to the
student coordinator or the co-student coordinator.
• The participants and mentors must adhere to the rules, time
limits, and constraints for all the events. Failure to do so will lead
to immediate disqualification.
• Files once submitted are the property of the Student Council.
The Student Council holds the right to use the submitted files
except for business and technical events.
• Content related to politics or hurting the political and religious
sentiments of any individual is not allowed for any event.
• No obscene or vulgar language/actions will be entertained.
The Student Council reserves all rights to disqualify any
team/participant in case of any misbehavior.
• Modification or removal of rules/rounds/platforms for live
events will be done at the discretion of the Student Council. All
participants will be intimated prior under such conditions.
• Decisions made by the judges will be final and binding.
• For all the live events, any further rules and guidelines will be
revealed on the spot.
• The participants must be in formal attire for all the technical,
business, and identity events.
• All the students are expected to follow the NICMAR code of
conduct throughout the duration of UDBHAV 2024.

Note:
• The Student Council reserves all rights in implementing
changes to the existing scoring pattern if need be, during the
proceedings of UDBHAV 2024.
• The number of winning positions for every event (under every
listed domain) may vary with a minimum of 1 and a maximum of

rules about the events hold points and will be marked daily
with the top 5 teams (under every scoring criterion) being
awarded points for the same.

once in UDBHAV 2024.

Round 2: PARLIAMENTARY DEBATE
Step into the arena where kingdoms clash in a battle of words.
Presidents and Vice Presidents defend their empires and lead them
to victory.
General guidelines
• This will be a live event, where the participants must deliver a
parliamentary style of debate.
• Two members from each team will be the party's president and
vice president respectively and the third member will be the
adjudicator.
• The time limit for each debate is 12 minutes.
• In 12 minutes, 1.5 minutes each will be provided for the
president of both parties, 1 minute each for vice presidents and
2 minutes each will be allotted for both parties to question. The
adjudicators will be given 1.5 minutes each after the conclusion
to speak.
• The topics for the debate will be given before the event.
• No obscenity or vulgarity of any form (at the discretion of the
judges) will be allowed.

brand to improve its presence in the market.
• A report shall be submitted first with an overview of strategies
and plans for rebranding. this should include the name of the
company, a description of the selected service/product, new
tagline suggestions for the existing brand and changes in their
logo.

same prop allotted to the group for about 45 seconds each
• At least 4 participants must be on stage during the entire
duration of the performance.
• Use of costumes and additional props is permitted. The team has
to ensure that the assigned prop is used despite having
additional props, otherwise, the team shall be disqualified from
the event.

General guidelines
• This is a live event.
• The participants will have to deliver a motivational speech
(like a TED talk) by characters from a book through their stories
and experiences.
• The selection of characters will be granted to the participants a
first come first serve basis.
• The character must be chosen strictly from English literature, no
religious-based characters shall be allowed.
• The live performance will be restricted to 3 minutes per
participant.
• The impersonation can be done via the usage of costumes,
speaking style and props.
• Plagiarized content will lead to immediate disqualification.
• If discrepancies of any sort are found, the performance will be
terminated immediately and the participant will be
disqualified.

• Each team will receive colour-coded balloons containing trivia
chits.
• In Phase 1, the teams will have to burst their colour-coded
balloons within the stipulated time frame to unveil the chits.
• In Phase 2, the teams will have to race against time to solve the
trivia.
• The questions of the trivia will be limited to English Literature.
• Each correct answer will earn the team points.
• The team with the most correct answers will be promoted to the

• The event is divided into 2 rounds.
• Plagiarism (from a copyrighted work or an internet publication)
would lead to an immediate disqualification.
• Content must not defame or abuse any community, person, or
place; however individual opinions can be stated with decency
and decorum.
• Abusive or obscene content will be immediately disqualified.
Round 1: 2d graphics
• The entry can be made digitally, but with no stock image or
vectors used. For any inspiration that has been sought (if any)
while visually conceptualizing, the teams must mention the
source (web link) while stating the reason for said inspiration.
• The teams must have an explanation of the idea,
conceptualization (evolution), the significance of their
respective group’s visual representations and the chosen name
included in the submission.

transition effects downloaded from online sources.
• This animation will be played during the event’s panel
discussion.

Match format: 4 KNOCKOUT ROUNDS
In the world of Kingdoms and Empires, building a Pyramid is always
historical. Compete with your opponent’s time and complete your
Pyramid to go down in history.
General guidelines
• Relevant sports attire is expected from all the players.
• A minimum of 2 female players can play the game.
• Collect the ball, dribble it and shoot it into the opponent’s
basket.
• On scoring the basket, start building your 10-block Pyramid.
• Male players can build only one block on scoring a point.
Whereas female players can build two blocks on scoring.
• If a player scores a 3-pointer, the player can double their blocks
while building the Pyramid.
• Players should always dribble the ball while moving.
• Running with the ball is not allowed.
• The team completing the Pyramid first, progresses to the next
round.
• Other rules of the game, if any, will be disclosed on the spot.
• In case of a draw, 2 players will play again to complete a 3-
block pyramid.

The King’s shield flies like a bee. Throw it, catch it, but make sure it is
not intercepted by the enemy. The more you catch the bee, the more
glory it adds to your team.
General guidelines
• Relevant sports attire is expected from all the players.
• A minimum of 2 female players can play the game.
• Throw the frisbee to your teammate without interruption from
the opponents.
• Every catch taken by your teammate is counted as a point.
Female teammates catching the bee will be counted as 2X.
• Every interruption by the opponent team gives you a negative
point. Interruption by a female opponent, gives you 2X the
negative point.
