ABSTRACT
In this minor project, we have developed a web-based application for managing the
problem of district as uploading the project and institute /student can give their
solution. The application is developed using php,css,html programming. MySQL
database management system (DBMS) is used to manage the database for the
application. The development of application is carried out by following the waterfall
model of software development. The application follows Model-View-Controller
(MVC) architecture for providing robust and reliable services. There are mainly 8
modules of the system: registration, publish problem , add event , give
feedback ,submit solution , manage project, record management and reporting. All the
modules are tested by following … … testing mechanism and found correct in all
respects. After successful testing, the system is implemented online, and can be
accessed by running the xampp server

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
This report covers the DISTRICT DEVELOPMENT
PORTAL
a SMART INDIA HACKATHON problem which we have decided to
do this projects for the 1st semester as our minor project . Before
designing of this project . we worked together in groups and studied
more about the project and the probem that we can face and how to
overcome it. We also researched and gathered information relevant to our
project as a part of literature review . we also studied and analysed
numerous government portal
and try to do similar thing in our project and wanted to make a user-
friendly
and dynamic website. Hence the comparison of a standard requirement of
this district development portal and thr case study give us further
knowledge about how we should consider various factor to design this
portal.
We then studied our given many government
site for more designing with regard to various factors that could impact
or make a difference in the designing of this portal. Thus, this report also
informs about the design process with reference to the site constraints
locality, environment factors and sustainability. It includes designing of a
primary school to higher secondary school.
Then , we further studied on the concept and how we can
use a concept to create an effective deisgn in our project.

After gathering all this information we began our
individual design process starting from the concept generation phase .
Thus,this report was made to keep records of all our researches that were
done within the design project.
CHAPTER 2: PROJECT DESCRIPTION
We made a project on the SMART INDIA HACKATHON
problem in which a portal needs to facilitate district collector to
upload the district specific problems , projects etc . The portal
should be accessible to all the institutes so that the student can
select the problems as their project works and submit solution
in the form of report. The portal should have provision for
online interaction between district authorities(respective
deparment officials) and the concerned student
group/institute.

CHAPTER 4: CONCLUSION AND FUTURE
SCOPE
The present study has been made to suggest and developed some more
tools which will eventually useful to the governments, financial
institutions,student for timely completion of large infrastructure
projects at reasonable for a specific quality we have made a district
development portal to facilate the district with the project work and the
istitutiojn can work on it and he can make it eventually a better place for
all things .
