1.0 Introduction
      The design brief report addresses the following issues of civil and structural
      design: -
      The civil and structural components of the proposed development will be designed
      to the Malaysian uniform building By-laws and relevant British Standards. The
      relevant regulations and requirements of the jurisdictional authorities will also be
      checked and complied with in the design.
Basic design information and design standards are listed in the following sections.

      Wind load calculations are    to be based on CP3 : Chapter V : Part 2 with the
      following basic parameters:
      Basic wind speed,    V         =      30 m/s
      Topographic factor, S1         =      1.0
      Ground Roughness               =      2
      Building Class                 =      B
      Statistical factor,  S3        =      1.0
      The structure proposed for this scheme is cast-in-situ column, beam, slab method
      and steel structures.
