2. When developing the three different rosters, demonstrate how you have considered and
incorporated the following:

 Having sufficient staff numbers while meeting wage budget constraints

First, we need to consider how much we earned in the previous period, look up the previous
roster and make adjustment needed on the previous data and the current trend or within
the busiest time we can add extra staff and for the Quiet time we have to put less staff in
roster.

 Including staff with appropriate skills

we only hire the skilled staff so the business can operate well, and we can ask for the
suggestion, assessing the interests of staff, convincing staff, open to staff concerns,
mentoring staff and give the staff training before they start.

 Compliance with industrial provisions and organisational policy

The management must have compliance to ensure that all the reports and tasks are
submitted on or before deadline and are free of material error. There must be a time frame

for each process to avoid conflicts to other team members, to meet the target date of
outputs and make necessary adjustments if any.

For example, F/T staff get 4 weeks Annual Leave, they got wages based on their grades which
is based on their skill too. Every staff who works more than 5 hours will get 10 minutes paid
break and 30 minutes unpaid break.

 Meeting commercial and staff time constraints.

Meeting commercial and staff time constraints. In the workplace, there should be the
organisation of meeting and open discussion activities time to time. If these types of
commercial discussion activities are arranged, then the staff can do commitments and share
their personal problems easily. So, these types of activities should be prioritized.
Furthermore, all the staff should provide the working shift as per the working rights rules
and regulations.
We always ask availability from our staff before making a roster. Roster always be made 1
week before. If they have a problem, they can contact the manager by email or phone
number or talk face to face.
