Sa Duyan ng Sining

The first phrase that sprang to my mind as soon as the video began was, “You can learn
something that even books can’t teach”. Five artists in the film, each working in a different medium, talk
about what art means to them and how they came to produce the works that have made them well-known
among this generation. They all approach art for various reasons and with varied perspectives. Other
people fell in love with art because of romance, others because of passion, some because it helped them
recover from the lowest point in their lives, and some because they were inspired by Filipinos.
According to Julie Lluch, money shouldn’t determine your love for what you want to do in life,
and this is especially true for Filipinos who want to demonstrate their artistic potential. All great works of
art are the result of enormous intensity and great emotion, the art is greater than the artist itself, as long as
it makes you happy and inspires other people, especially youngsters.
In art, you can also investigate the possibilities that lead to an original idea that has never been
done before. Being unique can help you gain respect and also inspire others to step beyond of their
comfort zones. You’ll create more stuff if you put more passion into it. And as a result, the entire world
will come to recognize not only you but also your art. It demonstrates to other nations how enthusiastic
and creative Filipinos can be.
When "support" is indicated in the video's details on the other hand, it is terrible to observe that
some people only receive recognized for their abilities around 20 years afterwards. Additionally, some of
them suffer from piracy, while others never receive the assistance they require from the government.
However, it didn't stop them from moving on.
As a college student, I find it incredibly fascinating that artists contributed everything they had to
show how creative Filipinos are in a variety of artistic mediums. I'm also in awe of how they pursued
their passions in life and in their professions without regard to any constraints. Because of this, the
following generation should be able to appreciate this kind of art. We should be grateful for the works of
art that the artists created and let them serve as an inspiration for us to continue doing the things that
make us happy.
