CASESTUDY 1- Disciplinary & Beneficial Policy
ABC Co. has started its operations in December 2022 as a startup organization. Initially they had
an employee strength of 20 employees which has now increased to 50 over 1 year and hence
the HR department plans to have proper policies and procedures in place.
The employees in the organization lack discipline and no standard rules or regulations are being
followed by them. Hence the management has discussed with the HR department and proposed
for some disciplinary policies that should be made for the employees.
Out of the 50 employees in the organization ,27 employees are females.
Hence it is necessary to have policies for the wellbeing and benefit of the female staff.
A. So now you being the HR of the organization, it is your responsibility to frame the above
disciplinary policies for all staff.
B. Create policies for benefit, health & safety of women employees in the organization.
Draft a policy keeping the below points in mind:
Purpose and Scope: Define the aim of the policy and who it applies to.
Standards of Conduct: Describe expected behaviors and work standards.
Disciplinary Actions: Outline the steps for dealing with breaches of conduct (warnings,
suspension, termination).
Procedure: Detail the process for handling disciplinary issues, including how incidents are
reported and investigated.
Appeal Process: Provide an avenue for employees to contest disciplinary actions.
IMPORTANT NOTE : We need a proper practical plan for the above situation that you would make in
detail as an HR of ABC Co. Kindly do not write the theory or definitions of any words. Make a real policy
for the organization keeping the taught concepts and knowledge in mind.
CASESTUDY 2- Employee Engagement
A. The attrition rate of ABC Co.has increased from 11 % to 23 % over the past one year. Employees
were found disengaged and demotivated when conducted an internal satisfaction survey.The
HR department realized that Employee Engagement had become the need of the hour to keep
employees connected to your organization. However, the management has to be convinced
about the same.
B. So, as a HR of ABC Co. kindly prepare a proposal which can be presented to the management as
to why this is needed.
C. This has to be done along with a yearly employee engagement calendar and a budget that has
to be presented to them for their approval.
D. Kindly write about a brief schedule of any 2 events that you are planning for the year (how
would you go about with it and what would be your schedule for that event)
E. Also mention what are the reasons for which you have chosen to conduct those events and how
will it impact the employee behavior.
