To ensure proper operation of the actuator and to increase the service life of bearings, the unit
needs frequent lubrication. Pump grease through the bearing plate grease points twice daily,
and the crank grease points once weekly.
1.1 Daily Lubrication
1. Using a grease gun, pump
grease through the upper
bearing plate grease nipple
(10 pumps), while rotating
at minimum speed.
2. Using a grease gun, pump
grease through the lower
bearing plate grease nipple
(10 pumps), while rotating
at minimum speed.

1.2 Weekly Lubrication
1. Cut and remove safety
wire from the upper rear
RH enclosure. Using a
9/16” wrench, remove the
upper rear RH enclosure
from the upper bearing
plate. This needs to be
done to gain access to the
cranks
2. Slowly rotate the actuator
until the grease nipples are
accessible from the back of
the unit, as shown. Using a
grease gun, apply grease to
both cranks (2 pumps).
MECHALTA GROUP LTD. Page 4 of 43
3. Re-install the upper rear
RH enclosure using 3/8-16
