Ather Duo 1
A charger you can fix at your parking spot, or carry
along in your boot. This or that, charge the way you like.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
1. Insert the plug into a 6A 3-pin socket.
2. Plug the charging connector into your Ather.
3. Always check, the charger vents should never be blocked
for a proper air flow.
4. The LED on the charger will start blinking, the moment
charging starts.

What do the different colours of LED communicate?
Solid Green Light
When connected to the vehicle - charging is done.
When not connected to the vehicle - charger is ready for use.
Blinking Green Light
Charging in progress.
Blinking Amber Light
Charger software is being updated over-the-air (OTA). Leave
it connected to the vehicle until it turns green.
Static Red Light
Fault in the charger. Switch OFF the power for 10 seconds
and switch it ON again. If it fails to restart after 3 attempts,
get in touch with customer support.
No Light
No power flow. Switch OFF and then switch ON the power.
If the charger fails to restart after 3 attempts, contact
customer support.

This is the accessory that turns your Duo into a fixed
charger. It’s got your charger’s back. Literally.

In your parking space, choose a spot on the wall close
to the socket.
Get your electrician to check the following:
→ Ensure the socket you will be using to plug your charger
is indoors, not exposed to water and rated for 6A.
→ Make sure the voltage difference between Neutral and
Earth is below 25V.
Step 1: Install the wall mount at a height of 1.2m from
the ground. Ensure that there's a socket close to the wall
mount.
Step 2: Mark 2 holes vertically on the wall, using holes given
on Wall mount for mounting under the snap cover.
Step 3: Drill holes with an M6 drill and install the wall anchors.
Step 4: Align the wall mount to the holes and fasten with
the 2 mounting screws. Once done, close the screw cover.
Step 5: Attach the Duo to the wall mount, plug it in and
switch it ON.
Step 6: Now you can charge your vehicle where you park.
And when not charging, you can hang the charging handle
in the dock.
Step 7: Use the key given in the pack to unlock the Duo
from the wall mount.

Here’s how to safely use your charger.
→ To start charging, insert the 3-pin plug into the 3-pin
socket properly, and ensure that the connection
is not loose.
→ Use the charger only on electrical lines secured by a
fuse or MCB.
→ Do not use extension cords and/or extension boxes.
→ Do not use a damaged socket.
→ Ensure that the area is protected against water
spillage/rain and isn’t damp.
→ Do not operate with wet hands.
→ Ensure that the wall socket has an individual switch and
the plug is inserted only when the switch is OFF.
→ Ensure that the cable is not stretched from the plug/socket.
→ Turn ON the switch after ensuring the above points.
→ Turn OFF the switch before removing the plug from the
socket.
→ Once the charging is done, wind up the cables
around the charger and lock the cables with the strap
on the side. Do not strain or pull the cable while winding.
Keep it in the bag that comes with this pack.
→ Ensure that the charging cable is always well-secured,
so that it’s never stepped on, driven over, tripped on, or
undergoes any damage or stress.
→ Do not use the charger with cables still wound around it.
→ The charger should be regularly wiped with a clean, dry
cloth to prevent accumulation of dirt and dust.
→ Unplug the power cord before cleaning the charger.
→ The device should be supervised when used around
children.
→ Do not insert foreign objects or liquids into any part of
the charger.
→ Use the charger only within the specified operating
parameters as described in the specifications.

Here’s how to safely use your Wall Mount.
→ It’s for indoor use only.
→ Keep the spare key safely.
→ Incorrect usage or installation of the charger or the wall
mount may cause damage to the charger or your vehicle.
Any resulting damage is excluded from the New Vehicle
Limited Warranty and the Charging Equipment Limited
Warranty.

Important things to keep in mind about your Duo
and Wall Mount.
→ Do not install the wall mount near flammable, explosive,
harsh or combustible materials, chemicals or vapour.
Further, do not store such material near the wall mount
or the vehicle.
→ Do not cover the charger when in use. Ensure that the
Ather Duo’s air flow is never blocked.
→ Use a dry cloth to clean the wall mount and Ather Duo
periodically. Do NOT wash with water, use chemicals
or a wet cloth. Never spray any liquid onto the charger
handle or wall plug.
→ When not in use, place the Ather Duo connector in the
wall mount dock to prevent exposure to moisture and
contamination.
→ Ensure that Ather Duo is mounted in the correct position.
You know it is mounted safely when you hear a click sound.
→ Do not attempt to disassemble, tamper with, or use foreign
objects with the wall mount. If it appears broken or
defective, avoid using it.
